Hollis had an attitude. Two drinks had Feb cold foam when it was supposed to have strawberry and she said that it was supposed to have regular. It was the strato strawberry matcha. And one of the other drinks had 4 sips in it. And we told her it was wrong and she said it was right with a whole attitude. read more

I went through the drive-through this morning, the drive-through wait time was very sufficient. However, when I got to the window, Hollis was not very kind, and gave me the wrong order. So, I had to go inside and exchange my order for the right one. As I was talking to the lady on food, she looked at me, ignored me, and walked away, and then proceeded to roll her eyes. I understand morning rushes are busy as someone who worked at starbucks for four years. But, if you can't handle stressful busy situations than you just shouldn't work at starbucks period. People come to starbucks first thing in the morning, and this is one of their first encounters of the day, setting the mood for the rest of the day. This Starbucks has a convenient location but unfortunately is SO SLOWWWWW. We tried going in and waited 25 minutes for two coffees and a sandwich. Then we tried the drive thru hoping it would be faster at another visit and it took 15 minutes. This makes it very difficult when you just want to grab a coffee on the way to work quickly or at anytime really. Shouldn't take this long. And it's PSL season! read more

The staff at this Starbucks are on top of their game. I online order weekly from here and it's always ready on time. Last week when I went to pick my order it wasn't there and the barista asked what the order was and asked if I could double check if I sent it to the right location while she searched all the requests tags, come to find out I had it pending but didn't hit submit. She assured me it would be okay told me to get in line and she would start my order immediately. I left with my items right after I paid. read more

This is a review that is long overdue, but I had the absolute worst experience at another store earlier today, and it reminded me how lucky I am to have the store at 75th and Cortez in my neighborhood. This staff is #1 in customer service! I've seen many members of the staff come and go in the several years I've been coming to this location, and the genuine warmth, kindness, and caring attitude remains unmatched and has stayed consistent over the years. Starbucks may be a chain, but this team has always made it feel like a real local, neighborhood coffee shop by making personal connections with their customers. It was like night and day from my previous experience at the other location earlier when I rolled up to the drive thru, and before I said a word, Beau greeted me with a "welcome to Starbucks, what can I get started for you tonight Mary?" This is what I mean about service and consistency: EVERY single member of that team knows me by name, and even the newer ones always make an attempt to get to know you. And it's not just me, I've seen this team treat each and every one of their customers with the same kindness and respect every time I go. I am in hospitality management, and I would not hesitate to hire any of the staff there to work for me! I go to this Starbucks every day mostly because of Denise (the cashier at the drive thru window). I have never had one problem while she is working and she typically remembers mine & my fiancé's orders and will notice if anything is off about it. This location has a drive thru! Perfect for going to or returning from the beach! This location was right down the street from where I was staying for vacation. It is clean, the staff is friendly and there is ample parking. There patio seating is perfectly placed for evening sitting, but is probably a bit to warm in the heat of the midday. There were a half dozen tables but not all tables had an umbrella, which could turn out to be a problem. This location is in a standalone building, and has the perk of being just few steps from cold stone creamery. They just installed a new blowing fan over the front door, it blows down on you when you go in or out. It's rather awful, that last thing I want is everything in the air being blown square down on my beverage on my way out the door. read more

Yes I get it, they are busy but to wait 17 mins for our drinks, which came out 7 mins apart is not ok. We watched 3 other couples get this one drink then wait another 10 mins for the other while they called out orders from behind us and mobile orders. Broken system! Caffeine is my drug of choice and Starbucks is my favorite dealer. This coffee shop has saved my mornings on more than one occasion. I love that the menu adds new items every so often and the employees here are some of the nicest I've met. The line in the mornings can get kinda long, though and some of the other customers have been so obnoxious... I've almost had my car hit because another customer wanted to cut in the drive thru. This is the closest Starbucks to my house and then one I use most mornings on my way to work. With all the frustrations, I still wouldn't switch to dunkin. read more

We've been to pretty much every Starbucks in Cortez and Bradenton, and this one is consistently the best. Best shots, best cold drinks, best service, best wifi. You can't beat the staff for friendliness, and they even remember you after a couple of visits (something I thought Starbucks employees had stopped doing years ago.) They do get slammed during rush hours, particularly by the order-aheads and drive-throughs (IMHO the ruination of Starbucks is the order-aheads; there's no way the staff can keep up!), but for the most part they maintain an air of calm and kindness. Even during the holiday season. I put a lot of it down to management. They seem to have had the same female manager for the past 3-4 years, at least, when we've been there, and she's always ready with a smile and a kind word. How many staffers leap out from behind the counter to help an elderly person having trouble with a door these days? How many don't glare at you when you say something like "Please shake that almond milk before you pour it?" and instead say "Yeah, I don't know why Starbucks almond milk does that, but it has to be shaken or it seems to separate"? Really, everyone here appears well trained, the bathrooms are super clean, the store is welcoming, and it's a pleasure walking in there. All in all, it's what every Starbucks used to be before they started going completely corporate and selling off franchises. read more

Great service, friendly staff. Good location. However, the front door has a blower over it that goes off every freaking time someone enters or exits the building. VERY loud. If you're used to reading or working on your laptop in a public crapper next to the electric hand dryer, it probably won't bother you. I went through the drive thru today and honestly I'm just sick and tired of people using gloves and masks the wrong way. I am a nurse and in the medical profession we change gloves between patients yet I keep seeing everybody using them incorrectly including the person at the drive-through today. I asked her to change her gloves because I'm pretty sure she's been wearing the same ones over and over from customer to customer and she obliged however I shouldn't have to tell her how to use them the right way. I also want to know where she got the mask from when there are nurses out there on the front lines going to work and being rationed only one mask for the whole shift. And now even crazier having to have our N95 masks sterilized. So basically they take a used mask that was exposed to the virus particles and sterilizing it and then returned for another nurse to use. So basically you're having to put a used mask on your face. Ridiculous. People stop wearing gloves and masks if you don't know how to the right way and leave them for those who really need it...the ones battling the virus for 12 hr shifts...the nurses and doctors and other medical professionals. I like going to Starbuck's. I love the frappucinos. I hate sitting in line while they "custom make" just for me. 18 minutes from the time I placed my order until the time the cashier handed it to me. 18 minutes. really. I could have driven up to the one on Manatee Ave,. got my drink and been back before these folks got my order for me. What was even better was sitting in line for 15 minutes in the car and then getting to the window and they hadn't even started to make my drink. lots of competition for my dollar. Great service! While visiting Anna Maria Island, I frequently visited this Starbucks after a long day on the beach. The service was great, the baristas were friendly, upbeat, and made the visit nice, especially Pamela. Her friendly, caring voice at the drive up speaker was enjoyable, and when I pulled up to the window her smiling face was an equally pleasant experience. I believe It was her attractive personality that probably had me returning every afternoon, even though she did not always wait on me. Wish I could visit there again sooner. read more

Saturday evening my boyfriend and I pulled through the drive thru and had the pleasure of meeting Chris W. He was SO knowledgable about the drinks and very friendly! Not only did he help us to chose an amazing latte but when I asked him if he happened to know why the Starbucks logo was a mermaid and what that had to do with coffee... he didn't miss a beat! He explained that the logo wasn't just a mermaid but it was in fact a twin-tailed mermaid. He continued on into the history of Starbucks and where the logo originated from.
