My worst experience at a Starbucks ever. First, the cashier charged me for syrup when it wasn't an upsell; then the barista forgot the mocha in my peppermint mocha frapaccino; there was one order of two drinks before me and we waited 20 minutes for our drinks; they were out of stoppers and suggested to use a straw which doesn't work; the barista clearly didn't know what he was doing and didn't bother to ask for help. I will never come back to this location again, nor will I recommend anyone visit here. I will be calling corporate to complain. read more

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because they don't have a drive-thru :(. That'd be really convenient but oh well. The people that work there are super friendly, and they always make my drinks perfect. I live right by here so I'm going to try and keep my DUKE status going because this is totally my Starbucks haha. I've never had any problems with any of the employees, always super friendly and this is pretty much the only Starbucks in camarillo, as far as I know. After we ate lunch at Masa sushi. We went to Starbucks to drink coffee. This location Starbucks is best in this town. I love Las posas plaza. They have Chase, Wells Fargo, Masa sushi, Charn Thai restaurant, bakery, Ralphs, and a lot. It is very convienient. read more

Customer Service! Terrible. Went to pick up my Mobile Order a few minutes after the latest time it should have been ready. I left me phone at home and was told they didn't have that order in and couldn't help me, basically pushing me to the side. I went back home to get my phone and came back to show them the receipt (at this point it is 20min after the time it should be ready). Still didn't have it (and yes it was the right location) - Again I get pushed aside. At that point I just wanted a refund - They were so easy to give me a refund and not address the situation at hand. Nothing! Over 30minutes back and forth wasted while taking 2 toddlers with me. Terrible service and rude team members! Learn how to make a bad situation right. No apologies, nothing! I get people are busy and everyone wants coffee. I believe this is the first Starbucks established in Camarillo. I can understand why this place is always busy, especially in the morning. It has quite a large dining area and outdoor patio to accommodate large amounts of people. I have always had nothing but excellent service and awesome coffee. Well what can I say? Did Corky from Life Goes On grow up to manage a Starbucks in Camarillo? Well in this case I think he shares genes with the manager. 3 Days they cannot figure out NITRO Cold Brew. Walked in today and ordered 5 Nitro CB's wait 20 minutes before I go up to counter and ask what's going on with my order. Then I am told by Chunk from Goonies with a BOWTIE that they need to change the Keg out. Who's running this ship? SImple Jack? Well fast forward to me getting a refund. This Starbucks is a hop, skip, and a short drive away from the Camarillo Premium Outlets. The place itself is much more spacious than your usual neighborhood Starbucks, but the outside is more woodsy-looking, as is the rest of the shops in the plaza. Service was friendly and decently quick. My only complaint is that the prices at this particular location are at least $0.30 to $0.50 cents more expensive than other Starbucks. Not sure if it's this county or just this location, but definitely something to be aware of! read more

The counter tops, the work space by the espresso machine, all disgusting. Coffee spilled all over, grounds all over, used dirty bar towels. It was like they were too busy to work clean. Gosh, I can't ever get a properly made frap at this location. It feels like they aren't properly trained or something. I always order green tea fraps a certain way and most Starbucks tastes the same and are up to my standard, but this location has never got it right. It's always too watery or not strong enough. One of the baristas today was also super sloppy. She made a huge mess pumping the ingredients, did a terrible job of measuring the milk, and was short on the ice, which made my drink watery and not icy. She basically rushed as if it was a race. I know it was at the lunch rush, but I'm sure people would rather have the drink made properly than have it fast. They really need to clean up their act. Came here Tuesday the 28th right around 1:30, ordered a large coffee and a bagel. Got my SMALL coffee very quickly. When I told a red headed, tattooed barista all she said was "that's what you paid for", not offering a solution. Being in a hurry I took the small, and continued to wait for my bagel. After my bagel took a long time, I asked the red head again, she told me something along the lines of "it was coming", weird thing is, she didn't even check. I stand around some more and watch as they joke and laugh, continue making drinks. Finally I asked another person and turns out they're out of the bagel. What was I waiting for!? Why didn't this other barista tell me, and let me wait?! Anyways, I was too much in a hurry to ask for a refund or find another solution so I just left. Very annoying. So if this is the one by Ralph's I always had a great experience with them until I always buy stuff from them and one day one of the workers came up too me and told me in a degrading way I couldn't take a nap in there acting like I was homeless or poor basically tryna day I couldn't hangout. As a fellow barista, I understand how overwhelming shifts can be. But there is no excuse for attitude when ordering. Today's being the holiday launch I brought one of my friends to this location to try out the new drinks. We went around 3pm today and was greeted by a sweet girl with glasses and blond hair. Then the second lady next to her stared at us and said very loudly "uh hello I can help you over here" we walked over and I ordered my beverage and was asking my friend to order her drink. We placed our order and my friend said "wait, is your better should I get yours?" To which I said all the beverages are pretty good. The barista then gave us a blank stare and before my friend was able to finish saying her drink she loudly interrupted with "hot, iced or blended" then said mkay. we said both were hot. I told her I had parter numbers and she rolled her eyes and said "ok what are they" I then scanned my app and said thank you. We received the orders at the handoff plain and the drinks were typed in correctly but were made iced. I told my friend to ask if she could have it made hot instead and the same barista stared at us and rolled her eyes again and shoved the drink at another barista and said "Urg remake this, thanks". The point of this post is Starbucks as a whole is suppose to be a welcoming and friendly environment, and we were definitely not shown that. read more

Maple scones are great. Staff is friendly. Service can be a little slow but that is usually cause the place is busy and they are tired.

I love Starbucks, and I keep coming back here because it's close to home. I keep hoping it will get better, and it doesn't. Mobile order is pointless. I've ordered while in Oxnard, driven 5 miles over the course of 10 minutes and still had to wait at least another 5 minutes. I've mobile ordered, waiting 15 minutes only to ask for my order and be told they are out of my good order. Then have to wait another 15 minutes for them to make me something else in it's place. I've had more bad drinks than good ones, they seem off in flavor and consistency. I just can't figure out what's wrong with this place, nothing in particular it just needs better oversight. 2 years ago it was good, it's just gone downhill since then. On Tuesday, May 8, while I waited 20 minutes (!!!!) for my mobile order, I watched some of the grossest food service behavior I've seen in a long time. I saw baristas with loose hair (who ran their hands through it as well). I saw baristas wipe their noses and their mouths with their hands and then PUT A TOP ON A COFFEE CUP with the same unwashed hand. I used to work at a Starbucks so I understand when it gets extremely busy at times. What I DON'T understand is how it took 15 minutes to get my croissant and bagel when there were 4 people behind the counter (an ample amount of staff for a small line) and only 3 people in line before me - in which, only ONE of those people got a pastry. Mind you, I did not get a drink. I waited at the counter for so long that the girl making the drinks eventually asked if I had been helped. I told her I had been waiting for only pastries this whole time. I found out that rather than heating up my items, they were trying to get their label printer to work - even though the cashier wrote down the abbreviations of what I ordered on the pastry bag. It took the SAME AMOUNT OF TIME at another Starbucks to get my order to me in a long drive-thru with about 7 cars ahead of me so, I will be going to that one from now on. Unbelievable. The one star isn't for the food or drink. Those are all great. The one star is because of the management and the attitude of a specific employee. For background, I'm a veteran, and I don't really like to make a big deal about it. But last week I saw an employee wearing a digital navy uniform behind the counter as if it was a costume. Usually things like that don't bother me, because people will be people. But that type of uniform is limited issue and only issued to specific units, you can't even buy it at the NEX, and she was wearing it like it was no big deal. I tried talking to her civilly about respecting the uniform (especially right before Memorial day) and unfortunately I got the common, "This is my husband's" answer that isn't uncommon from military spouses. And then when I told her that I'm a veteran, and her wearing the uniform like a costume offended me, all I got was a condescending shrug. When I asked to speak to her manager, come to find out her manager or franchise owner or whoever was sitting right next to us and overheard the whole thing. I told her manager I was offended, and all the manager said was, "Okay", in a 'so what' sort of way. When I told her that I deployed in that uniform and seeing it worn like that is an insult, all she said was, "I'll talk to her." I complained to the corporate office about it, and since it's not a big deal to most, I highly doubt there will be any follow-up action. Even though it's been a week, it's still bothers me. And I know for a fact that it bothered other patrons as well. I know saying, "I won't be coming back here" doesn't mean anything in retail or food service because one person is just a drop in the bucket, but because of my own personal convictions, I won't be returning to that location. read more
