Employees are typically friendly, but it appears as if they don't know what they are doing. It was busy when I came, so I didn't expect everything to come out quickly, but I was waiting for way longer than I should have. I was in there for 30 minutes waiting for my two drinks to come out. Part of it was definitely because people that ordered after me got their drinks first, which was disappointing and quite frustrating. So I waited and waited and waited, and watched the baristas pour three drinks down the sink in those 30 minutes because they kept messing them up. After all that wait I hoped that I would at least get a quality drink to enjoy but no luck there either. I got my Salted Caramel Mocha without the whip cream that I asked for. The caramel frappuccino that I ordered strangely tasted like strong vanilla, so really gross. It wasn't cold even though I asked for extra ice, and the drink part of it was too liquid-y to be a frapp. It didn't have that nice blended texture that I always look forward to. Bottom line, there are plenty of other Starbucks locations in the area, so I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I stopped in here on the recommendation of a friend and was surprised at how busy it is. We didn't have a long wait in line but there were no tables open to sit at while we were there. The staff was very friendly and upbeat. My husband got a drink and liked it. I was there to ask about specialty coffees that weren't in season yet so I didn't get anything but the staff were able to answer all my questions. So this Starbucks is always clean and the staff is friendly... it's nice to run in before work and grab my favorite drink. The downside for me as a walk in customer is that this store ha does a heavy amount of mobile orders. Of course I appreciate the convenience of mobile orders at times, but when I stand and wait for my beverage and watch 10-15 mobile orders be handled before actual live people standing there it takes the warmth out of Starbucks. I asked for something to be changed about my drink today and stood there while it cooled, and the baristas turned out multiple mobile drinks...finally the 3rd person who touched my drink actually fixed it and handed it back to me. This Starbucks location is spacious, clean, and has plenty of parking. It is located in a plaza that has everything from food, cupcakes, groceries to clothing, books, and olive oil (yup a store specifically for that). The price here is just like any other Starbucks. What makes this particular store a "Yay I'm a Fan" and not an "A-OK" is that there's plenty of room to just hang out and chit chat. The workers here are nice and friendly. One of the employees behind the counter was even dancing and singing to herself. I'm sure that's not a normal event but little things like that add to the happy enjoyable atmosphere I was feeling on this particular visit. read more

As a coffee snob, I'm going to resist dissing on Starbucks just for the heck of it, and write an honest review, and hopefully useful review. This location is beautiful. The shop is spacious, and there is beautiful seating outside. A large fountain creates a park-like setting, and there are tables under shade or in the sun. It's in a shopping center, so there's lots of easy parking. Wi-fi is free, and plenty of people were working or using their computers. My reason for visiting this Starbucks was to see the Clover machine in action. The Clover is a ten thousand dollar machine that brews coffee by the individual cup and allows for superb customization of water temperature and water immersion. Starbucks serves their Reserve coffees on the Clover. Before ordering, I looked at the Reserve display to familiarize myself with the choices. Unfortunately, there is no "roasted on" date, on a "Use by 5/2014". So, the coffee is not fresh. However, the Reserve Columbian beans smelled delicious, like cocoa and Jasmine. So, I allowed myself to hope that I would be pleasantly surprised by Starbucks. I watched the Clover do its thing, and carried my cup away. The coffee tasted stale, and the roast overpowered the cocoa and jasmine I had smelled. It was disappointing. Starbucks ruined a delicious batch of beans, in my opinion. From the smell, they certainly had the potential to be top quality, and it absolutely was a huge improvement over their standard house roasts. Instead of tasting like the coffee had been poured over jasmine flowers, it tasted like someone had dropped an old cigarette butt in the bottom of my cup. I'm not sure what is going on with Starbucks here lately, but it seems as they are getting too big and thus losing track of their quality control and the basics of what makes Starbucks; well Starbucks. I think the staff they are hiring lately is also going downhill where there is no accountability or training. Upon visiting this location, I ordered, well attempted to order a Extra Hot Blonde Roast; was informed they didn't have any more Blonde, so I attempted to order a Pike Peak; then was informed they couldn't make it hot. I was informed that however it comes out is how it comes out. I've never in the history of being a Starbucks customer been informed that they could not heat up coffee or make it hotter, I've never been told that how it comes out is how it comes out. And how can you be a coffee establishment and not be able to heat up coffee? Based on this I wound up simply not ordering coffee at all and got an iced tea. Horrible. Lazy. Nonsense. read more

I met my niece to take advantage of the bogo deal on holiday drinks. I ordered the caramel brûlée and she ordered the gingerbread latte. My niece said hers was weak. I ordered my drink with half the sweetener as I always do. I did not taste any caramel or sweetness. Also, if there was any coffee in it I did not taste it. It tasted more like a watered down hot chocolate. I was very disappointed. The place was very busy so maybe the barista was rushed? I came home and made coffee and added It to my cup! Worst Starbucks I've ever been too. They are extremely slow, incompetent, and understaffed. But even when there's nobody here, the service is horrible!!! I have come to this location many times. I have never had a good experience here. If you're in the Camarillo area, I suggest going to one of the other locations. Very large and roomy. Lots of tables, chairs, and arms chairs!! This location is VERY busy! It has no drive in, but makes up for thy in foot traffic as it is located in a bustling plaza. There is a tremendous amount of outside seating that may or may not be attached to the Starbucks. Some of it appears to be a part of the plaza. These people crank out the drinks! Especially with mobile order it only takes a few short minutes and your drink is done. Never had a bad one or one even slightly off on flavor at this location - all have been spot on. My only complaint is that it seems to be always just a touch warm inside. Especially, if you sit in the vinyl arm chairs for any length of time while working. Other than that, If I could hook this Starbucks up to my bumper and take it with me I would, by far one of my favorite EVER! read more

A friend and I were sitting at starbucks while one of the workers proceeded to start mopping and packing up all the chairs 2 hours before closing; asking customers to move or proceed to mop right under their feet while try sit at the table. I found it so rude and very inconveniencing for customers who were here or coming in. I felt rushed to leave and many asked if it was closing time some also didn't know if they should walk on the floor since it was all cleaned. Very unpleasant experience. read more

I had a great experience here today... I placed my order and the girl who was taking my order made a mistake using the money on my Starbucks card rather than the reward that I had asked to use. She apologized for her mistake and I said no worries I'll just use it for my next purchase since I am in there all the time. She asked me if I wanted a refund and I said no, not to worry about it... It wasn't a big deal. I walked to the end of the counter and waited for my favorite drink delighted that I was finally getting it after the crappy morning that I just had. This is by far one of the largest and nicest Starbucks I have ever been to. It has a cozy feel to it ...probably because of the big comfy seats and the way the room is situated. I also enjoyed the coffee bar seating which added to the more "small town coffee house feel"than big city chain coffee house. My latte was better than my usual Starbucks latte I've ordered at other locations. Their customer service is the worst - always. Doesn't matter if you're a gold card member, or spend $100/week, Starbucks employees will always treat you like dirt. I have gone to Starbucks in four states, and all up and down the coast of California. I've probably been to more than a hundred Starbucks. It's terrible everywhere. I always feel conflicted when I have a complaint. Generally, I just suck it up and hope for better service next time. I literally HATE having to be the person who asks to speak to the manager. Sadly, today was that day for me at this Starbucks location. It was long overdo, though. The past couple months at this location have been war. It has been a constant battle to get my (very easy) order right with their half-asleep staff that seems better fit for maybe Taco Bell and not Starbucks. The manager I spoke with today seemed nice enough, and said all the basic textbook things a manager is expected to say with a unhappy customer. An apology from the careless person at the window would have been more apropos. Anyways, today I refused having my drinks remade (for a third time) and opted for a refund. I left without anything as there was no offer from the manager to give me the drinks I had ordered on the house; something even McDonalds will do for customers. I just left this location today feeling very disregarded as a customer even though I was going to pay over ten bucks for two drinks I could make at home. So, I went home and did just that. Doubt I'll return to this location. I am not shocked their yelp score is low. New hires during the holidays are NOT a good excuse for continuous poor service, which is the excuse I got from the manager today. Every time I come to this Starbucks there is a mishap with my drink order. What is more irritating is that I only had 2 drinks this time and nothing was out of the ordinary. Her energy and genuine desire to help was a highlight of my day. She settled me into a Creme Tea that really hit the spot. What I do not love are rude bossy baristas, Cathy was incredibly rude and not patient with her fellow employees, she even went as far as to push aside a fellow worker out of her way to ring the drink in for the lady that was at the register saying I can't believe you don't know this by now. The girl was doing just fine and was kind and didn't even lash back at her. Cathy wrote the drink down and later made it and yelled back to the register girl do they want whip cream or not. I couldn't believe her!!! You wrote the drink rushed in front of the girl and then proceed to attack her for your lack kindness. I had a really bad experience here. I ordered an iced caramel cloud macchiato with NO ice. And what I received, was a HOT caramel macchiato. I told them that there was a miss understanding and that i wanted the drink cold but with no ice. You wanna know what they then brought me? They put the hot drink that they gave me in a cup of ice! Fist of all, there was NO cloud!!! SECOND OF ALL, THERE WAS ICE!!!!! I SAID NO ICE! If I had said "light ice" they would have put LIGHT ICE. I said "no ice" and they made my drink HOT.
