This is a decent Starbucks. It's another one of those Starbucks in an office building so you would only be coming here if you are in the building because you work there or you have an appointment here. There's really nowhere to park unless you are in the building. This Starbucks is mid-size and has indoor and outdoor seating. They are usually well stocked with food choices and restock throughout the day. (Although, Starbucks in general is lacking in the vegan food choice department and I do really wish they offered more kosher options--although they do have some prepackaged cookies and power bars that I like...my go to is the chocolate dipped madeleines--this is a corporate issue though and has no impact on my rating of this location). This Starbucks is also very clean, for the most part, especially since they are so busy throughout the day. The employees are always nice and smiling too! read more

She was demanding all kinds of specific requests for her drink, and each time he accommodated her, with a smile on his face. He gave her so many options and really worked with her and her wants. Ultimately, she was able to get the perfect drink, and he was so extremely kind and helpful throughout the whole thing. I honestly don't know how he was able to tolerate her, but he was so sweet! I understand that they serve a lot of people but I would rather wait a little longer for my drink if that means my order is right. It is very busy and I am impressed with how efficient and professional the Staff is handling the large morning and lunch rushes, as well as fast and accurate with orders. There is a decent amount of seating and some nice outdoor tables. They open early and close at 7pm and are closed on weekends. The toilet is down the hall in the actual office bldg, not in the 'bucks. The customers are mostly professionals/office workers. I had to go back twice. Once because I didn't have whip. I didn't taste it yet. She couldn't find a whipped cream. That they were being washed due to the fact they were closing soon. It's not even 6 yet. I said fine don't worry about it. I leave...taste it and there's no vanilla in it. I go back and ask her if she put vanilla. She said no. I said it's a CM. She didn't say anything. I said it gets vanilla. Then I get these little quirts of vanilla from a practically empty bottle. Look I get it I'm an ex barista but that was some horrible service. I love that so far, half of the reviews of this place begin with "Well, I don't really like coffee..." Also, I'm not sure what sprawling warehouse Starbucks y'all have been to, but this one seems about average-sized to me. Here is the reason I am giving this place four stars: At this point in America's love affair with coffee store chains (and fast food chains in general), we pretty much know what we're getting in terms of quality. Either you like what they have to sell or you don't. I don't see the point of comparing a Starbucks to a fine restaurant, or even to a locally-owned coffee shop. That would be comparing apples to oranges. I give this place four stars because I'm comparing it to other Starbucks locations. I think this spot is better than average. They have a much higher ratio of armchairs than a lot of the ones I've been to, which indicates that they don't mind you hanging out for a while. This is opposed to the uncomfortable metal chairs which scream to me "Drink your coffee and move on, or your ass will pay the price!" Also, being in the middle of Century City, this is my go-to Starbucks and I know that's the case for a lot of fellow corporate types. As such, I'm rather impressed that even with the high traffic, the baristas still recognize a lot of their repeat customers and remember their favorite drinks. The bottom line is that Starbucks is Starbucks. Any two locations will be fundamentally the same, and so it's the small touches that make the difference. I'm at this Starbucks at least twice a week. Their staff is friendly and they don't screw up my orders. Their drinks taste like...well...Starbucks.. I don't think anyone would *love* being a patron here. No one likes waiting 20 minutes for a toasted sandwich - something that has happened to me several times. It's also frustrating not being able to find a place to sit because they piled a bunch of stuff onto their biggest table. It's not the quietest place and it's always cold, so you've been warned for a work meeting. I know these all sound like small gripes but this Starbucks is not the warm and welcoming climate I'd expect out of a cafe. I like this Starbucks enough and I really like their staff. I have been to this Starbucks on many occasions & there have been times when it's really busy, and there have also been times when it has been really slow. On this particular occasion, it was really busy (as it was pouring outside). I had a little problem with finding a place to sit & study today, which is why I am giving this place 4 stars. Normally, this place is pretty good about seating, but given how spacious it is, I think this place could definitely use a few more tables & chairs. Anyways, I had a GREAT experience today. I had a problem with my Starbucks app today, and was feeling pretty blue (because it was raining and because I had just dealt with 2 hours in traffic). Upon getting here, my Starbucks app was malfunctioning, and rather than charge me, the lady at the register, gave me my drink for free! I forgot her name, but I do remember her birthday, it's September 17th. She asked me if the reward I was using was a birthday reward, and I honestly swore that it was. Then when she asked me when my birthday was, she told me her birthday was really close to me - September 17th. The girls behind the counter at this location get SWAMPED at particular times of the day and so the inept ones get weeded out rather quickly. Therefore the service is generally speedy and sugar-shitsharp - one particular barista is so beautifully, fluidly proficient she's like the Scorsese of caffeination. And yeah, it's Starbucks. That means the drip coffee tastes like burnt smogsludge, the espresso is perfectly acceptable, and the bullshit candy drinks proudly sponsor cavities and high blood glucose levels. read more

Ultra-cool bux. When you're on the road all day, you look for cool places like this to camp out until your next meeting. This is the spot. While limited on indoor seating, they have a good sized patio and it's on the shady side of the building. Great for that afternoon office escape when the boss is on a super long conference call. Just slip on out and come chill out here but don't forget to buy the boss his/her favorite drink so when you show up 45 minutes later, you can blame the super long line, but in reality, you would just chill outside and watch the day pass by. Yes folks, I see this happen all day long. Really like the fact that the people, like all SBUX staff, are super friendly no matter how brutal the line can be. Located in Century City, it's the closest Starbucks to my building on Century Park East. This place is so slow. The staff has none of the usual rythum you see at other Starbucks. At 9am, expect to wait at least 20 minutes for your drink. Ordering ahead is pointless as those people waited too. They work like they have not a care in the world and none of us have anywhere to go. It is located in a high business area where everyone is trying to get that caffeine before work. Given the long lines, the staff does a great job moving the line and make sure the customers are happy. We go here every day for afternoon coffe and the people are great. i docked a star because it is starbucks, nothing too exciting and for people who don't drink coffee there is a limited amount of options that aren't 1,000 calories like frappucinos, so i basically get iced tea..or something kind of boring..some hot chocolate some times.. i am docking another star because for a while i wasn't drink cofee nor tea, so my option were even less and so i would come down and get milk and a cookie for an afternoon pick me up, i did this for a week and 3 different times they gave me the same size cup of milk at different prices one time it was 1.80 another was 1.10 another was 1.60..same size every time, whats that about? and out of 5 days straight 2 times they tried to get away with not filling up all the way...come on im paying for milk!! give my milk... and then i found out that when i asked somebody else to get it for me they got it for free or asked for a cup and filled it up at the bar..which i guess i could have done but felt bad doing it.. but the team is really nice, and so if i were just reviewing them it would be 5 out of 5 read more

The staff at this place is simply amazing! They have such wonderful customer service and have always greeted by name & with a smile on their faces regardless of the time of day. Being that this Starbucks is in the middle of Century City and what seems to be about a million office buildings, the line can get pretty long during the early mornings & lunch time. However, the staff here is always quick and positive to get everyone their drinks. I would avoid going during after lunch hours (2-3pm) because the line will get long. The seating area inside is cozy and they have a few tables with the wireless charging rings which are pretty cool. They have also have outside seating. The drinks here are always consistent and delicious. The baristas always have cool suggestions in case you're not sure of what you want to drink. The only time I ever had an issue with the quality of a drink, they immediately fixed the situation and made me a brand new drink with no hesistation. This Starbucks has STAR employees that are the real reason for the success of this location! I hope they keep up the great work! read more

This place is god awful. You'd think in a busy office building full of professionals, this Starbucks would be more on top of their game----but they are the slowest and most inept establishment I have ever been to. Even though they always have multiple baristas taking orders, making drinks, etc, they have some super bizarre assembly line order where even if you ask for a pastry, they'll had it off to someone else to bag it for you. Then in that time, each of the baristas will stop what they're doing about 5x while getting your order together and/or completely forget that they were handling your order. Case in point, the other day, even though I was the ONLY person in line and all i asked for was a muffin to go, the cashier took my name, wrote it on a bag, and told me it would be ready for me at the bar... WHAT? Are you going to bake my muffin from scratch or what? After watching her stare idly for 2 minutes, I asked if I could get it then---she looked around as if to apologize that the "muffin bagger" didn't do his job and then took another 5 minutes to bag me my muffin. This is quintessential Starbucks done well. Small, sweet, and surprisingly pleasant. This is everything you would expect form a Starbucks, but without the crowds and sluggish internet. Google sponsored internet reaches 15 Mbps, and there are plenty of plugs to accommodate your devices. I rate this location 5 stars relative to other Starbucks, not privately owned and operated mom and pop coffee shops. Those guys are on a whole nother level.
