Came here for a quick coffee run before visiting the Getty but I didn't realize we arrived during SUCH a rush. It was so loud too. Could barely hear the barista. I ordered the Iced Mint Mojito latte, it's been years since I've had it so I was excited to retry it. The soft spoken barista asked how I wanted it and I wished I said "As is" but I said "Whatever's best" and she put creamy cream. I was pressed on time so I couldn't wait for them to remake it, let alone, it was already a long wait to get it. The excessive milks masked the minty mojito taste. I've never wanted to throw away a freshly made coffee ever in my life. The girl was sweet and the other baristas were really working hard. All in all, not the best experience. Not the best coffee. I won't return to this location but i'll remain optimistic that the other locations will be a better experience and that other location will do it better! read more

I was greeted with smiling faces in a clean, well decorated café. The staff, Calvin and Charlie, were great. I needed to use the bathroom and Charlie quickly helped me with the code. Afterwards, we even conversed for a bit. She was very friendly! I went on a food spree and got several croissants/pastries! I was torn between several pastries and Calvin recommended me the best ones! Blueberry and cinnamon rolls among others! Shout out to the sweet girl in the front who saw my confused face and walked me thru the menu. I'm a basic latte girl so this is far more elevated than I expected. It being my first time, after I shared what I typically would order, she suggested the tesora, creamy. Of the featured creations, a popular drink she shared was also the iced mint mojito, which I opted instead to try the honey haze cold brew as I wanted a more of a sweet coffee. I enjoyed the honey haze, not overly sweet, a good balance. If I am not mistaken, this used to be a Coffee Bean so it was nice to see another coffee shop take over. They created an open space concept, with outdoor seating. I will def make it a point to stop by again to find my signature drink. read more

I'm aware this location is busy and sometimes can take a while. I put in a pickup order on UberEats around 8:50am today. I arrived at 9:25am. I was told my order hadn't been started. One of the baristas began to lecture me about how I should order on the app instead of UberEats because "then your order just goes in a huge pile". I was so tired and just wanted my coffee and the lecture was long, unnecessary and unproductive. Not good customer service. If you don't like UberEats orders, don't accept UberEats orders. They made my coffee in less than 5 minutes, so you would think ordering 35 minutes in advance wouldn't have been a problem for such a small order (1 coffee and 1 tea). Disappointed in customer service and being loudly lectured, my order not being started, the coffee wasn't even good and the iced te want 85% ice. Obviously not coming back. read more

This was my first time getting Philz Coffee after hearing so much about it from friends. I ended up getting the Tesora, sweet and creamy. I was worried about if it could be too strong or anything, but it was perfect! I really liked the notes (vanilla, caramel, a little chocolate) and it was just lovely. I'd love to try the other flavors next time! I also had a sip of the Mocha Tesora, which was great if you like chocolate (but I'm more of a vanilla fan haha) The parking situation wasn't too bad; we were able to snag a spot right outside on the street! The service was great, and the place was overall clean! The barista was also very friendly :DD We ended up walking around Beverly Hills, and it was the perfect weather too. Philz Coffee is consistent across the country so I'm glad I can pop in to any location and get a delicious cup of joe. This location right in the thick of Beverly Hills has the same great coffee with friendly staff, as well. It won't surprise you to be often met with a line, but keep in mind you can order ahead through the app, too. It's an immensely clean and shiny shop and if you do a quick scan, you'll find the BH sign signifying where you are. I like getting the Mission Cold Brew black, packed full of flavor and always gives me the morning jolt of energy I need. We also bought a bag of beans while in the shop. They are a little steep at 20 bucks a pop but my friend swears it's worth it. I'd definitely stop in again while near Rodeo Drive again. read more

Stoped by my coffee spot on Beverly drive to find it was now a PHILZ, I was delighted and ordered their new Gingersnap decaf, I was asked if I liked sweat --I replied sweat and creamer the better. Although they don't have a designated parking, there is a parking that's free for 2hrs in just a block away so makes it super easy to park and grab a coffee when I have time. But if you are in hurry they do not take phone order and has to download their app and street parking is sometimes difficult to find since there are a lot of restaurants and cafe on the same street. Rose coffee was very nice. I would love to try the hot one if they have it too. I liked their flavored coffee from before and i have never tried the regular coffee so my review/stars are solely on flavored coffees :) read more

Philz Coffee located on South Beverly Drive is the newest coffee shop to open in Beverly Hills and is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Street meter parking and across the street is the BH city structure where one hour parking is gratis. This space was held for many years by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, which was very popular by locals but closed during the pandemic. On South Beverly drive there are at least a dozen places you can get a coffee/tea drink. Despite the number of coffee shops, there is usually a long line just to order (ie Urth, Starbucks). I'm guilty of not wanting to wait. There's usually no long wait at Philz, there's indoor and outdoor seating with umbrella shade. The pastry selection is limited. The menu offers hot and cold coffee concoctions. The mint coffee is their claim of fame but I'm not a fan of mint in my food or drink :( Have tried a few of the coffee drinks and realized that even their strongest coffee was not potent enough for my liking. The slow pour over drip is the technique used here. No fancy lux commercial espresso machine like the La Marzocco GB5SAV which is the Ferrari of commercial espresso machines used in other coffee shops and fine hotels and actually I really do prefer that strong potent caffeine taste versus any drip pour over coffee, of course, high quality coffee beans or roasting techniques also makes a difference but the amplified rich robust caffeine taste from a high end commercial espresso machine is incomparable to the drip technique. If I'm not willing wait and stand and line at Urth, I'm and not craving that strong potent caffeine fix, Philz coffee is ok. The shop is clean and organized. The staff is cordial and helpful. I like the vase of fresh flowers on the counter and on the service island. The outdoor seating with umbrella shades in the dog friendly patio is cool. Recommend. read more

I've been to other Philz coffee in West Hollywood in Pasadena. The coffee at this place is the same and good. I got mint mojito which is my usual. 2 stars because of the atmosphere. This used to be coffee beans years ago. They had nice patio and it was comfortable to sit outside. Now all they have is cheap IKEA chairs and tables painted with yellow which is so flimsy and it was very uncomfortable sitting on the street with so much noise. They probably should add some fence or build some barriers. Service was fine. This location was pretty quiet compared to other locations. read more

If anything went well this Saturday afternoon, it was my visit to Philz. I came here with high expectations, and to say they were shattered would be an understatement. Javier was an absolute treat. Not only was his knowledge of the different coffee strains exquisite, but his demeanor and mood lifted my spirits. He gave me samples of the single origin "secret menu" coffee, as well as the cold brew. While both were exquisite, it was time to try something new. I went with the Julie's ultimate, a medium roast coffee that provided more than I could ask for. Subtle under tones with an overall low yet mysterious profile characterize this mix. By now it's no secret how much I LOVE Philz, but this one is a bit of a let down. Instead of the the friendly, engaging vibe felt at the other locations, the vibe here is frenzied and slightly impatient . Newbies not sure how to sell you on the Philz experience. I ordered a Jacob's Wonderbar and it was terrible from the first sip. Not creamy the way I asked and it had the strong taste of being brewed through a dirty filter. They usually welcome adjustments but this was not the case here. This is only the second time I've had a bad brew from Philz. It's also the second time having the same girl make such a bad brew (I recognized her from another location). Whoever she is, she does not know how to make coffee and needs more training. I ended up throwing my coffee away. The upside is the spacious patio seating, good for working and people watching (if you're into watching people). Inside is small. It's also very cold and the music is very loud. If I'm driving down Beverly and really want a cup of Philz, I'd give it other try. The worst coffee and tea we have had in a long time. Wife's chai was far too robust and tasted like coffee. My latte was too bland and the almond milk was too sweet. Staff was surprised that wifey didn't want milk in her replacement chamomile tea. Told her "British people put milk in their tea."
