It is hard to imagine that I have never written a review about this Starbucks, as I have been coming here forever. This was one of the early Starbucks to open in L.A. And, it has been a staple of the Westwood community for many-many years. As can be well understood, most Starbucks are pretty much the same, and this one is no different. This location offers what Starbucks offers, and it is as simple as that. As is the case with all Starbucks, the staff here comes and goes. From this, most of my experiences here have gone on without a hitch. There have been a few situations where I did encounter a not-so-nice employee. But, that's just the name of the game. Overall, I've never had any truly bad experiences here. Located right on Westwood Blvd., this shop is easy to find. Parking is as parking is in Westwood. But, once you are parked, this is an easy location to gravitate towards. This Starbucks doesn't have a nice outdoor patio or anything like that, as does the location a few blocks farther South down Westwood Blvd. But, if you want to grab and go this may be the place for you. Overall, if you want that Starbucks fix, this is one of the old-school locations where you can get just that. read more

I rarely come here but when I do, I seem to always be disappointed in some way or other. It shouldn't be that difficult to receive what l've ordered, but it is. Because this Starbucks is located in Westwood, it's usually crowded. I noticed their order pick up is on the wall vs the counter. Staff always have a little bit of an attitude, not necessarily friendly. Parking: It's always an issue, so I park a block away and walk. read more

If you're an uber driver be aware you will waste your time in small orders in this Starbucks, customer service is horrible, instructions says to talk to the staff to get the order, I talked to the staff twice and got ignored, the girl looked at me and keep doing what she was doing. I asked at the register and they made me get in line without even asking the name of the order. I waited and still didn't got helped. By law they're supposed to allow people to use the bathroom. In fact, since 2018 Starbucks changed that policy to allow people to use it without a purchase. DO NOT GO HERE! This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to not only do they have bad service but they also were very rude. We ordered a small chocolate milk and coffee and one mango dragon fruit drink and they took 15 minutes to prepare it. I allllways love me a good starcrack! I was there to take care a few items so this was a great break spot. I usually get the Tazo Chai Latte Grande which is always a great choice on a cold day. Love this drink. The service is good as they are quick to take your order and take care of your needs. Being near UCLA is always a benefit because I need to go there from time to time. This is a teeny tiny Starbucks near UCLA and busy Wilshire Blvd. There is exactly ONE table and ONE chair. Do not come here looking for a place to work. Because of the size the lines frequently run into each other... the line of people waiting for a drink intersects the line of people waiting to order which feeds directly into the line of people waiting for the bathroom. I don't like coffee and I don't drink coffee. Therefore, this review will have nothing to do with their coffee. I do, however, love tea. I don't love Starbucks' tea, but that's not the fault of this location, it's a problem with their corporate-whoever-makes-the-tea-decisions. What I will say: the service at this location is fantastic. I have somewhere in the vicinity of $200 in Starbucks gift cards, so I've decided to start using them. Even when the line is 10-deep, the cashiers are friendly, attentive, and personable. They do a fantastic job of making the line go smoothly, and when it is your turn at the till, they're so friendly and nice, you almost forget that you were waiting a short while. There are definitely regular customers here. One of the cashiers was acknowledging folks by name before they paid, which I thought was really nice. I've tried this place so many times because of the convenience, but it's consistently bad. I've gotten 5 different drinks. Coffee is stale or acidic, they're lazy and the syrup is stuck at the bottom, but I draw the line when they replaced the cold foam with whipped cream thinking no one would notice. Do better. They take advantage of the fact they know it's a convenient location and will still get an influx of customers, this is bad for the brand and senior management needs to step in. read more

This place is a mess! Don't come here in the mornings unless you want attitude, long waits, and most likely a wrong drink. Well actually the mobile orders have been pretty decent which is why I gave this place 2 stars... But stand in line and order anything at the counter and it will not likely work out. There's also at least 4 people working behind the counter which I don't understand why it is so unorganized. I think the staff isn't properly trained. I've been here multiple times I thought I came in on an off day but after 3-4 times now I think they just can't handle it. She still marked the cup wrong. This is the perfect Starbucks for my early morning caffeine fix. Granted it's tiny, parking SUCKS (typical 310 fare though) but that's not something they have any control over. I walk in & out in 3 minutes flat and my coffee is perfect every time. P.S. This is not the Starbucks to go to if you want to lounge around. We came in hoping to grab something fast on the go since we parked in a parking space where we could only stayed for 30 minutes. We ordered 1 hot caramel latte with soy milk and no whip cream, a tomatoe mozzarella panini and a protein box. The last two we got right away. The drink took forever to get. We were there literally 15 minutes waiting for it. Two people behind us got their drinks first and left before we did. The barista kept looking at us and finally asked what we were waiting for. I told him our drink. He looked confused and started looking everywhere for it and when he didn't find it asked me what it was. I had to tell him 2 times what it was as if it was too hard to comprehend it. He turned around and said it wouldn't take long for it so we waited and he turned around and asked if it had regular milk. I had already told him twice soy milk. We waited and finally got our drink. Nobody apologized or said sorry for the wait. As we were approaching our car my husband took a sip and realized it was not what we had ordered. It tasted like milk with pure sugar. I tried it too and omg it was sooooo sweet. My husband is been getting the same drink for the past 6 years so he knows what it's supposed to taste like. Ok so first of all this store only had 2 people working a little girl with 2 ponytails and what seemed like a manager very nice. The girl took my order which was a strawberry acai with extra strawberry pieces a mocha cookie crumble a caramel ribbon crunch and a iced water all venti except the acai. She already seemed lost when I was ordering like she didn't know what to push on the screen. It took exactly 30 min for us to get out drinks we were kind and very patient. We started to watch her make the drinks which the mocha looked gross which wasn't even my drink. She then began to make my drink and I asked the one who looked like a manager if she can make my drink for me because I knew the other little girl wasn't going to make it correctly. Anyways the small girl made all drinks. Then the manager offered to remake the acai because it had been sitting for about 20 min now. She then ask a question about the drink and told me I ordered a pink drink which was never ordered. I told the manager that I never ordered a pink drink the word pink never came out of my mouth. The smaller girl then came up to the counter and raised her voice saying you ordered a pink drink I heard you say that and I never said it. I honestly couldn't believe that she lied if you guys have cameras and someone who can read lips please check because that was very rude and she knows she was wrong. The last time I was here, I ordered a tall soy vanilla spice latte with no whip cream. I plugged the sipping hole, and while I was walking home, I noticed the coffee was sloshing around a lot for not having taken a sip. I came home and open the lid to find that my TALL latte was not even filled up to the brim. In fact, there was a good inch of coffee that I was missing. I HAD LIKE 4/5 OF A COFFEE CUP FULL OF COFFEE. I love it when the Pumpkin Spice Latte returns! Even though it's still 90 degrees in LA in mid-October, this drink makes me feel like fall is here. I like making pumpkin baked goods at home, but for pumpkin lattes, I go to dependable Starbucks. I'm not sure what they put in it that makes a tall 240 calories but it is yummy... When it's not pumpkin season, my standby Starbucks drink is the chai tea latte. And I have recently re-discovered caramel macchiatos and occasionally will have a frapp when there are deals, but the one drink that stands above all the others is the Pumpkin Spice latte. :) In terms of this location, this Starbucks is small and there's always a line because of the many high-rises in the area. But the employees are nice (they have spotted me before when I didn't bring enough money for the change) and they have never messed up my order. I usually place my order and then run errands in the area (drop off mail, go to ATM, or pick up food) and then come back in time to pick up my drink. :) read more

It's a small location, so it is what it is. Also, I'm a fan of the marble loaf, and this location does not always have it (and sometimes it's stale). As small Starbucks stores go, this one is pretty average. Limited seating, busy in the mornings with people on their way to work/school etc. Probably more of the expected mix of Starbucks patrons versus the one on Broxton that is more student heavy and a better place to try to have a meeting or study (when space is available, which is #rare). I have picked up my mobile orders here a few times recently. Both of the most recent times, I've ordered right before walking in and while waiting I've witnessed accidental ("accidental?") taking of the wrong order. The store is busy in the mornings, so it makes sense that they'd call out everyone's drink. I waited for almost 10 minutes before I realized someone had placed my drink in the mobile order section without calling it out; maybe that's why people take the wrong drinks? :| read more
