Central planning missed the mark. This Starbucks underwent 2 months of remodeling and has been ruined. They have removed all comfortable chairs and replaced them with "plastic" tables and and a hard bench seat. I was a regular customer, 4-5 times a week before two months of remodeling. Now zero times a week after they spent several hundred thousand dollars for remodeling. I will be shorting their stock as this is an indication that they believe in central planning instead of local planning. I expect their SBUX to be less than $77 in 6 months while the rest of the market will be up 20%. read more

The drive through is moving at a crawl, there is a huge line that blocks ingress and egress of the nearby roads. They must staff up! This is one of the best Starbucks especially with a drive-thru. They remember you quickly if you are a regular. They get you in and out quickly. I stop here on the way home to get my coffee since it's on the way home. It's a pain to get into when your in traffic but luckily traffic is in the opposite side so I get by. This location is definitely clean and although not as roomy as some of the others it works out. I just wish my morning Starbucks on Sam Rittenberg was as well managed/organized as this one is. It would be great if they had the same leadership or direction so that they can be up to the same speed as this one. Anyway. Great props to the leaders of this location. read more

I have visited literally hundreds of Starbucks' location since they've come into existence and although they all seem to be pretty consistence with the quality of the products they offer; the service, quality of the product, wait-time, cleanliness and accessibility of the location are the five points I will rate all of them on going forward - so to make the point I've recently incorporated a rating system based on this short list to calculate the rating of the locations I visit. I feel all these criterions are controllable by the corporation, the franchise owner or store manager. To me, Starbucks is not the best and not the worst when it comes to coffee, but since it's a chain, it is reliable. This is a typical Starbucks location, so the drinks and menu are similar to every other Starbucks. It's also a popular location for working, and every time I come, I see lots of people with laptops. I've never had bad service or a wrong order, although they are out of food items occasionally. If you want a breakfast sandwich, you better get there early. This location has a drive-thru, although I've never used it. To me, they have adequate parking as well, and there's a red light to make left turns easier in Savannah Hwy. traffic. read more

Hey again. Stopped at a new Starbucks ( new to me anyway). Figured I would tell you about it. Same system I always use. Rate the location, service, and food for an overall star rating. Location: Inside was clean. Smaller interior, but not crowded. Free wifi worked great. I like the lay out and how open it feels. I did discover that if you drive past the drive thru looking for parking, you end up back on the highway. Argh. Rated a 3 Service: Seemed slower than others. Not a huge wait, but not a lot of customers either. Employees were friendly and polite. Rated a 3. Foo: Coffee was made as I ordered with no surprises. Wife's Blond Vanilla latte was enjoyed as I saw her sipping happily while holding the warm cup close to her nose . Overall: I rated them a 3 overall. Really an enjoyable visit. read more

IN A HURRY? DONT COME HERE! Back here again after a my last review of this mess. Still the slowest and most inept Starbucks I have ever experienced. Drive thru line out to the street and moving at a snails pace despite at least seven employees working. I know because I got fed up in car line and went inside which was not crowded at all but somehow still took a decade to get a simple black coffee. S Windermere and Sam Ritt locations seem to far exceed this one in service and efficiency. To top it all off, got back in my car and the lid was not secured and spilt half my coffee on myself and in my car seat! UPDATE: Came at 2:45pm on Monday... drive thru hadn't moved 7 cars back for ten minutes. Partner went in to order two coffees and was told THEY SRE COMPLETELY OUT OF COFFEE. This is still the worst Starbucks on the f**king planet. UPDATE: It's 4/52pm on a Friday....not real busy...AND THEY ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF COFFEE AGAIN!!!! The only Starbucks I have ever been to that is out of coffee and on a regular basis. This place is UPDATE: 6:30pm on Sat. March 14th.... Gave it a last minute desperate shot. Starbucks has high expectations and they typically meet them well. The staff was very friendly. There was no drip coffee, so I had to take a pour over. Which that isn't a bad thing, but not having coffee was a surprise in mid day. The ordering with other customers seemed a bit disorganized and not the typically assembly line process you come to expect. The store was open with plenty of outdoor seeing. Parking can be limited as some cars parked on the street behind the building. Overall, not the most efficient Starbucks I have experienced in my visits. read more

Drink tasted good (although, i requested extra hot and it said that on my cup- but it wasn't. Boo) The service was friendly- my only complaint is that I had to sit awhile at the speaker box for someone to help me. Again, only one there.. I'm one of those guys that can take it or leave it when it comes to coffee. I also don't understand what happened to just plan coffee with milk and sugar. Now there are a hundred ways to have it. Progress, I guess. After saying that, my daughter, a coffee nut, lured me here, and now, I think I'm addicted! Fabulous coffee. The guy working the drive thru is a Chatty Cathy but can't be bothered to pick up the scanner to scan the smart phone instead you get a passive aggressive point. Also you can't hand me two handfuls of my order at the same time in my car. I'm right handed so my left hand is not dominant please hand me drinks one at a time. I was first in line, and ordered two grande coffees, nothing special. I waited and watched 10 cars come and go though the drive through with still no coffee. I've watched the construction over the past few months, and I think it will be a great location for those of us in West Ashley. I didn't know they were open yet, but I noticed balloons outside this morning, so I stopped in. There were a few people working and only one patron in front of me to order. Turns out it was their first day! The cashier and the baristas were all extremely welcoming. They're still learning all the drinks and sizes, but the managers were very knowledgeable, helping them through the ordering and brewing process. My order tasted just as delicious as any other time I've ordered it. This location has a lot of outdoor seating, so it would be a great place to come back and work. read more
