Who knew there was a Starbucks tucked away just off the 680 on the Sycamore Valley Road exit? Apparently everybody but me because this place is PACKED with people about 9:30 on a Monday morning. Just walking up to the entrance you can already tell something is different because there is more outdoor seating than I have ever seen at another Starbucks. Not only are there several tables out in front, but there are also tables all down one long wall of the building where you can sit and enjoy your expresso drinks in the great outdoors and still look through the floor to ceiling windows to be part of what's going on indoors.. This interior of this Starbucks feels very open and spacious with beautiful wooden floors and plenty of seating including a long heavy wooden table that looks like a work of art that seats eight to ten and a seating area with comfortable chairs. There are ample electrical outlets to recharge your electronic devices and, of course, the free wifi that Starbucks in known for. I'm visiting the Bay Area and enjoying the amazing variety of baked treats from La Boulange that the local Starbucks feature prominently. Mom and I just had to split one of their warmed chocolate croissants which was both creamy and flaky. I ordered my venti skinny hazelnut latte which is becoming my standard Starbucks order. The line was long, but they kept it moving along pretty quickly and made sure we got our baked goods quickly so that we had something to nosh on while waiting for the barristas to prepare our drinks. Definitely legendary service at this location. insiders tip - if you're going to be visiting Starbucks more than once or twice you'll want to join their free rewards program where for every 12 items you purchase you get a free item. Your insider tip of the day is to have them ring up items separately every time you purchase multiple items so that you get all your points and earn free rewards earlier. Consistently poor and unreliable service. We moved to the area in 2019 and are big fans of Starbucks. This is the worst location ever. Employees are consistently unprofessional (argue with themselves a lot), service is slow, baristas ignore customers, lines are long and customers never look happy, wait times can be 20-30 minutes, mobile orders are often late, store managers and employees seem to turnover every week, and many of their available menu items are often incorrectly "sold out" with the mobile app (so you can't order ahead). Avoid this location. City Center and the Reserve location on Hartz are much better. read more

This location was originally a 'chocolate cafè' called: "Bittersweet" which focused a little bit more on chocolate than coffee. But when it closed down, it was kind of obvious that they were gonna open a Starbucks. I was not disappointed ;) This Starbucks is basically like a coffee shop in your living room. Instead of tables like a normal coffee shop, it has couches. It gives the place a more feel-at-home interior. Another great thing-This place is in walking distance (about 5 minutes) from my house. Summer days I'll come for a Mocha Cookie Crumble. Winter days I'll come for a Hot Chocolate. Staff aren't super friendly but they aren't rude either. And what's with the doling out of straws? this Starbucks is a hit or miss. Sometimes they actually make them correct, other times the taste is off... the color isn't the same as other Starbucks, or I've gotten even a completely different drink than ordered. With my drinks severely under-filled numerous times, the employees also seem to be careless about requests or anything you ask of them. Recently asking for extra dragonfruit inclusions, I picked up the order seeing that there was quite literally, without exaggeration, a SINGLE cube of dragonfruit in the drink. Additionally, in the winter, I adored ordering the winter drinks from Starbucks. In the Christmas spirit, I had frequently requested extra holiday sprinkles. Every time at this location, they included absolutely none at all. Probably my biggest disappointment. If you want a guaranteed satisfied Starbucks experience, I recommend going to the Starbucks in Diablo plaza - they make the drinks spot on every time and there's no excessive wait times like this location despite being more staffed. read more

Upgrading my review from one to two stars as have seen slight improvements. Please don't put a plastic straw in my drink. I use my bamboo straw to try to make some difference. I walked in and there was one person in line in front of me. It didnt take long to place my drink order and pay. After paying, I thought about it and it seemed a bit expensive. Little did I know that I was charged for a Venti when I ordered a Grande. This wouldnt have been such a problem if I got a Venti size drink. Instead, I got a Grande. I asked about it, and the cashier didnt apologize, just said "Well, I'm in training. What do you want me to do?" UHH, I DONT KNOW?? GIVE ME A BIGGER DRINK?? My fiance is anti-confrontational, so he made me leave before I made a scene. But really, if you made a mistake, JUST SAY SORRY AND FIX IT. Normally after this type of experience I'd give one star, however, I really liked how clean the location was, and how much seating they have. It was ridiculous! Alright.. Here we go. So the staff here are really kind. They get pretty busy in the am and before lunch so I could understand it may be difficult to clean as you go. The shop is kind of messy here, I see dust and crumbs all over the floor and you can see the webs and dust on the ceiling and walls. The drinks have been great tho, they don't mess up on that. I just think this place could use better management or something because this place is fixable and cosmetic. Luckily the customers have been nice about their wait times because the wait is ridiculous but like I said the product comes out delicious so it is partially worth the wait. Parking may be a squeeze because of all the restaurants around but if you don't come during dinner time, you should be fine. This is a Starbucks, you know how the menu works and the online system and all, but I wanted to write a review about this specific Starbucks. I really love this one in particular. The workers here are so polite and genuine as well as have great personalities, compared to the indifferent personalities from many other Starbucks. The layout is all messed up, I really don't like it cause it's hard to get in line without cuddling up to the people already in line. It has a nice outdoor area but poorly laid out interior. But besides the funky layout, the service is what makes me want to come back to this Starbucks specifically, and having it be the closest Starbucks to my house and right off the freeway is definitely a bonus! read more

Been here a couple times now and it's always been an enjoyable experience. Walked in here yesterday around 10:30am to find it pretty bare, so I was delighted since I wanted to discuss green tea options with the Barista. She was quite helpful with the three varieties available; i landed on decaf option which she described as having peppermint flavor. It definitely wasn't just flavor, it was strong peppermint for sure which was fine. The other time I came in here it was around 9:45am on a Saturday and I was at the tail end of a rush unfortunately so my drink took a lot longer then i'd anticipated! But they didn't screw up my nonfat 4 pump tall chai with no water at 180 degrees! WOO! Service is friendly; so happy it's in walking distance from my house. And we met people there who had seen us on the trail a day prior so that was nice to converse with locals :) Quick friendly service and decent parking available (i've always walked.) It really depends who is there. Today I went during happy hour and my two drinks took over 20 minutes (a simple pink drink and black and white frap both with no modifications). What I wish this location would stop doing (and this is a select few, not all) would be to stop grabbing cups from the inside of the cup. It's gross to have someones fingers touch the inside of the cup that you're about to drink. This is especially troubling during flu season. read more

A clean well outfitted Starbucks in the Rose Plaza shopping center located next to The Studio is clean, updated and of course free wi fi ready. The staff are friendly and I always find a nice place to sit and plug in. It doesn't get too crowded so if you need to have a meeting or just get some work done, this is a good spot...or maybe I shouldn't tout it so...I mean it might get too busy and then I'll have to find a new work spot. This is the worst Starbucks I have been to. The wait was a long 5min+to order, the young woman at the cash register was less than polite. My drink, a coffee Frappuccino light with light ice, was made well but took an additional 10 minutes to complete. The barista meekishly called my drink as a coffee Frappuccino. It was not called as ordered so I didn't know it was mine, so I had to ask. Once I asked the barista pointed at the cup and said yes. While I was waiting I used their restroom. Omg. It was filthy. The unflushed Toilet was gross. There Was No toilet paper and the restroom was absolutely filthy and had a very strong odor of urine. I hope the food prep area is cleaner than the rest of this place. One of the dirtiest Starbucks that I have been to. I told the staff behind the counter how filthy the bathroom was and they rolled their eyes and said that they would get someone on it... Then turned to each other and we're talking about personal issues... I went to put cream in my drink and there were no napkins, all of the trash cans were over flowing and trash was in the ground. I'm glad there is finally a coffee establishment near my neighborhood, on my side of the freeway! I love Starbucks because it offers so much more than just coffee drives. I think because it just recently opened, the staff is still adjusting. Some of the folks who take your order could be a bit friendlier (I noticed one young gentleman finally warming up to the clientele after a few weeks) and the barista could definitely be less distracted talking to all of her friends (which could really back up the drink line). They're always great at this Starbucks. I usually do the mobile order since I'm constantly in a hurry & they always have it ready when I get there. Sometimes I Order in & it's usually ready in no more than 5 minutes. Really nice place to work on some homework, even though it is busy & can be loud with a lot of people I really don't mind. Having people around me to chit chat with is nice when I take a break from my work, which is another thing.
