I go to this location almost every morning and the staff is some of the best i've seen. They are super friendly and efficient. You can see their smiles through their masks when they hand you your drink. You can tell that they take pride in their jobs and strive to make the customers feel comfortable. Every year I write a Yelp review of this Starbucks. During the last year there was a management change and they moved many of the best employees to the Alcosta store. During that time the staff left were working their butts off to train new employees. Also the store was remodeled and closed which added to the confusion. It was certainly a time of transition I noticed many of the bad reviews took place during this time of new people learning how to make Starbucks hundreds of different kinds of drinks! As of today's writing 12/16 the place has really improved. The new folks now are more efficient and less stressed as evidenced by a nice rhythm when they are busy. I've noticed too they really work as a team. When there is no one in line, the cashier makes drinks. I am a late afternoon customer and I feel like family when I go in. I go almost daily and the employees know me by name. Their customer service is fabulous. I always request weird drinks and most of the time they get it right the first time. They gladly accommodate my requests and customize my drinks. They're funny and clever despite sometimes they are stressed to the max. The employee are this store's strongest asset My complaints are about the app. Mobile ordering works only about 50% of the time. The buttons won't respond, it will say the store is out of a drink and not true. This billion dollar company has a crappy app!!!!! Get the IT director to modernize the way to order drinks. He sits earning his salary when clearly we can't order because the app is funky???? My second complaint is the parking. Many moms wait in their cars, don't park and let their kids pick up drinks. This is rude and prevents other cars from parking their cars. Don't stop in the middle of the lane and block others from parking and moving forward. You know who you are!!!!!! I especially wanted to recognize the pm crew: Anthony is wonderful, same with Lauren, Sylvia, Jeremy, Sierra, Dean and Logan. It's my favorite time of year (chestnut praline season) and I love you all.......and my peculiar desire for extra sprinkles. You should always seek jobs where good customer service is essential. So I used the Starbucks app to order coffee for the first time ever today. No one called my name when my drink was ready so it sat there for 20 minuets while I was getting some work done. I go here every day, often ordering mobile orders as I do with all Starbucks. It saves on time. Sometimes I'll wait in line if I come after the gym which I frequent next door. The staff is super friendly and takes the time to learn names, drinks, and faces! Any complaints I've seen on lines or bathroom cleanliness in the comments are highly understandable in a high traffic retail location. If you go when they are less busy, the few times a day they are, both of those complaints are usually fixed, as they have time to take care of it. I've never had to wait too long unless it's during a rush, which usually come in waves. Only complaint is parking during dinner hours, because the restaurants in the shopping center fill up. Clean, a lot of seats and rustic.

This place used to be good but somehow, it got worse. I don't know if it depends on who makes your drink or if it's management not training their staff properly. I ordered a grande mocha latte with coconut milk since I'm allergic to lactose. I specifically told the staff I'm allergic to milk. The staff that made my drink used milk that I got so sick that I was almost passed out and got dehydrated after 30 mins. Some staff are not friendly and rude. Some slow and snobbish. I will only come to this location if I had no choice. read more

Always busy, a little slow but a good drink always comes out of it! Mostly regulars and lots of people taking advantage of the free wi-fi. I'm happy to have a Starbucks on THIS side of the freeway! It's a great treat after a workout at The Studio or coming off the Iron Horse Trail. I love that I can get EXACTLY what I want without being ridiculed; a tall, skinny mocha, only 2 pumps of sugar-free chocolate (instead of the recipe of 3), an extra shot of espresso, no whip and EXTRA hot. Was a little worried to stop here after reading the other experiences/reviews. We were heading down 680 and this was a easy stop on our drive so we did it. We had a pleasant experience. The baristas were all working. One was cranking out all the coffees, one handled the food, one restocking and one taking orders. Everything ran smoothly. The counter barista seemed friendly and nice. She apologized for not getting to me sooner to take my order as she thought I was looking at the menu. Our order of two coffees and two sandwiches were prepared and served to us quickly. It appeared clean to us but we didn't sit and visit so didn't take a really hard look around. There was a lot of folks sitting and seemed to be enjoying their time there though. I've definitely been to worse Starbucks locations so I have nothing to complain about. (Husband did use facilities and said the men's restroom could use tending to with garbage and such. But not too disgusting. That's always a win. Ha) read more

The only drawback is that this location is usually very busy mornings (it is right next to the highway and the Danville park and ride). Even with mobile order there are a lot of people in line and customers can become irritated, however I don't believe this is the staff's fault or I would give 5 stars. Well well... where to start. this Starbucks bathroom is the always dirty and has very interesting odor, also their toilet never flushes properly so they close this bathroom quite often... maybe worth a fix, store manager, don't you think? Well and today they really shined, they were out of multiple wraps to the point that they had to give money back, out of sleeves, they were double cupping - what a waist ! Time to update my review from 5 months ago. I continue to adore this place. I am a daily customer. Some employees have left and there are some new folks but there continues to be an awesome team that works here. All have excellent customer service. All are friendly. All are caring, smart, and go out of their way to make me feel like I'm special. Yes some have bad days like we all do but the next day the smile is back on their face. I miss them terribly when they leave. There are too many of them to all thank!!!!!! You know who you are I would like to comment on several things I have noticed that has nothing to do with the employees: 1. Parking can be a drag especially around 2:50 to 3:50. All the Danville moms are dropping in with their kids for after school treats. The place is packed. Stay away if you don't want a line. A special message to the moms: please watch your children!!!!!!! The refrigerated food section is exactly kid sized and the little ones constantly touch the containers of food. Many of these kids had colds or juicy coughs and were literally wandering their hands over every food item in the case, picking them up, putting things in their mouths. This happens ALOT!!!!!!! I watch. Nice way to get cold and flu. Beware adults 2. I would use the mobile app but lots of time it doesn't work, or it says they are out of things and they're not. Or it can't find the store (I know it's there). This is a complaint about the app not the people who work there If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. If I could give it two and half stars I would, but unfortunately I can't. Been to this location a few different times, and each time I have had some sort of problem. I understand that retail is rough, but on one particular occasion the barista was seemingly impatient and short with me as I was struggling to decide what I wanted to order. Another occasion I ordered a cold drink and the cup was cracked and leaking. I went back in to have it fixed the girl behind the counter just kind of rolled her eyes. Just got my cold brew drink and no line (probably because it's before lunch time on a weekday). First time here. Ladies, especially my cashier/barista, are so polite, helpful, and know their specialty coffees. It helps that they recommend what's good for your coffee, since STARBUCKS had gotten so much more like ice cream where there's too many flavored coffees to choose from. I liked sitting outside by the plants near the back parking lot. Feels like I'm in my own garden... Peaceful when there's only few people around. Inside feels more like a library with people with their laptops and papers hogging tables. read more

These baristas know what it means to be a great barista. I have purchased coffee and other items from this location four out of the past seven business days. Not only are they always smiling and very friendly, but they do what many Starbucks baristas fail to do at many other locations. They place the cup lid so that you are drinking opposite the cup seam. Drink hole placement is key for spillage prevention. It must be opposite of the cup seam. From what I understand, this is taught in Starbucks training sessions. I can't tell you how many times I've been to different Starbucks locations where they are not minimizing risk for spillage for the customer. I appreciate how consistent this staff is with this small deed. Pretty typical Starbucks - my soy misto is consistently good so the baristas do well. However, cashiers are very slow and don't seem to know the drinks very well. There were only 4 people in line in front of me but it took over 15 minutes to get to the cashier and my order in! Give yourself extra time if you plan on going here. read more
