Very Slow on putting out orders. It doesn't matter whether 2 customers or 20.. the manager have a very bad attitude.

Nice location and comfortable but then it stops there. We patron this location.. the managment is messed up. Opens late if at all in the morning, online system is down often, weird charges for coffee services that are standard at all.ither location, forget your orders and has to be reminded. We have complained several times to management and even talked to other store management. They all know this location is messed up but clearly Starbucks doesn't feel a need to improve here. We recommend you find another location if you want service. read more

Amazing Starbucks! Thank you so much to Jeremiah for greeting me as I entered and then helping me right away. I was so thirsty, and Jeremiah remedied that quickly. He was welcoming, friendly, sincere and knowledgeable. I asked him to recommend an unsweetened and non-caffeinated iced beverage, and he was immediately able to make a fantastic recommendation for me. He prepared the tasty beverage quickly. He also thanked me for doing what I do (I was in uniform), and it's very nice to know that people appreciate the work we do. I appreciate you guys too! Thankfully there wasn't anyone waiting at the time I asked, nonetheless I was impressed that he was willing to take the time for my specific request. BEST STARBUCKS I'VE EVER BEEN TO! DAMN! Okay real talk.. I used to work at Starbucks in an affluent area in NorCal before and nothing really blows me away with Starbucks! When I opened the door at this location DIZAAAM! You know you're not in a low or middle-class area! It screams DEL MAR! LOL From any Starbucks I've ever been to the workers here are SO NICE! I'm shocked! I came in today after getting Nothing Bundt Cakes in the same plaza for lunch. The barista who took my order treated me like a million bucks! She was SUPER NICE and friendly! The Starbucks at this location looks like they paid extra for awesome A+ customer service training and it SHOWS! CHEERS TO THE STAFF! They have a ton of tables and couches outside to enjoy the Del Mar sun! It's so relaxing! I'll definitely be making this a usual stop! I was craving a Hawaiian-style iced coffee.. I know it's not on the menu so I thought I'd be crafty and try to customize. When I was a barista I got so annoyed when customers would try to order something not on the menu LOL this barista was so patient and she even said that she liked my coffee add-ins! My Starbucks version of a Hawaiian Iced Mocha: Order an iced mocha and substitute coconut milk instead of the regular 2% milk and have them add in 2 or 3 pumps of hazelnut syrup (since they don't have macadamia nut). It's not the same as Leilani's Cafe or Lion's Coffee but it's a good Starbucks hack if you're craving Hawaiian Iced Coffee... Try it! read more

Honestly was just in there the older lady at the front when I asked her to explain what was in the new mango tea she looked at me like I was stupid and gave me such a bad attitude along with the other employees. It was the worst Starbucks I've ever been to I hate writing bad reviews but I left with such a bad taste in my mouth :/ the employees need to leave there problems at home and come in with a smile in my opinion not to mention it took forever to get me my drink and they messed up the four orders in front of me so it took extra long ! Will never go back to that Starbucks and I'm a native to Del Mar so making sure my friends know how awful my experience was ! read more

This starbucks store is legit. Large and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. With the traffic I have to sit in in the I-5, this isn't a bad spot to chill and wait for the traffic to die down. I was happy to see they still had a raspberry swirl loaf (love this seasonal pastry!) And I asked for it to be warmed up. The nice lady at the register told me they don't recommend for it to be warmed because of the sugar icing, but I insisted. I used to be a starbizzle batista and I know how good that loaf is when it's slightly warmed! The coolest thing is she still did it for me without a fret. And ooh my gawd, I just looked at my cup and she spelled my name right!!!!! My drink was made perfectly too. I ask for a honey in my iced americano and the batista made sure the honey was melted by swirling the espresso shots before adding the water. As a former barista of 7 years and 8 months, I am always critiquing baristas, and these ladies passed my test! read more

I'm not sure but this looks like a new location. The seating arrangement seems a little odd, for example there's a half-moon shaped bench by the cashier area.... I wonder what that seating is for. It's a big Starbucks. There's a lot of space to sit outside on tables with umbrellas and comfy lounge seating on the side too!! I bet the space and be busier if the flower Hill shopping center was as popular as the Delmar Highlands shopping center. Maybe people will start clocking here when they get fed up with the crowds at Delmar Highlands. Looks like a really nice renovated space. read more

One of my favorite Starbucks. Such great staff. I come here almost every morning and everyone is always so nice and timely. I love that this location has a clover system. The selection that they offer for the clover is always pretty good as well. One of the only Starbucks I've ever seen with such a huge banquet table to spread out on, so if that's something you're into I would definitely go there! Also a lot of outdoor seating, with couches and tables! Gotta love how much space there is considering a lot of locations always seem cramped read more

My favorite Starbucks as its huge empty and has super comfy padded seating to lounge in. Most Starbucks have done away with all their leather couch sofa chairs and padded outdoor seating so it's really uncomfortable hard chairs at every store but this one has a booth and is simply lovely read more

This place can be a nightmare! Parking is crazy and some treat it like a breakfast spot ordering 10 different breakfast items - some toasted, not toasted. One person takes your order then you have to wait to pay. Nice that they get started on your order, but it takes more time to pay. Would be nice to see both registers working, especially on the weekends. There's plenty of seating inside and outside with shared seating outside with the yogurt shop next door. I'd suggest stopping into this location only if you're strolling through the promenade. read more

I went to the Starbucks in Del Mar to find a certain reusable cup for my wife. I tried to get the attention of an employee who had his back turned, we were no more than 3 feet away from each other. I had to call for him several times. When he turned around he looked annoyed. I showed him a picture on my phone of the cups and asked if he knew where I could find them. He said, "I've never seen those cups in my life. Sorry, buddy." And turned around. I felt disrespected and left. read more

Parking can be a pain! The staff was friendly and the location is very big, with plenty of tables for those looking to do work, or chill for a bit. I found the staff to be nice, but maybe a little slow. The storefront was fairly clean and the bathroom was in good working order, which is not always the case at Starbucks. My biggest grip is parking, which there seems to be plenty of, but this little strip center can get BUSY. read more

Absolutely horrible service! Will not be coming back to this particular location. I am lactose intolerant and I specifically payed for coconut milk and was given normal milk. When I told the barista she had made a mistake she snapped at me and told me I didn't pay for the coconut milk. So she continued to re make my drink and used the same cup that the normal milk was in and refused to give me a new cup. read more

This is one of the bigger Starbucks and it's easy to find a seat inside or out. There was a lot of baristas so our drinks came out faster than normal. This store was recently built from the ground up, so this place has a modern feel to it. It's kind of hidden from the main street, but it's just a few doors down from Whole Foods and Yogurtland. read more
