I must say not every Starbucks has an amazing staff. Sometimes they can be in a rush and rude. I've come here a couple times and Kelsey has gone above and beyond to making sure I was satisfied with my order. One time they didn't have cream cheese so she gave me some other great options to go with my bagel. I didn't really like it and she found in the bathroom and gave me batnam bagels to try. I'm not a difficult customer but it's hard to get away from my usual meal. She is always sweet and makes me have a smile when I leave coming here. I love here. I hope I got her name right. I love this Starbucks! It is like going to Cheers! Everyone knows you and already knows what you want before you order. The customer service at this store has made it hard for me to go to other Starbucks haha. nothing compares to the Via De La Valle staff. I often go back in the afternoon for a tea refill before I do my hour commute home and getting to see Elliot in the afternoons is a great pick me up. He is always cheery and exited. Poor service. I stood in line, alone, for a while before I was helped or acknowledged. There were two people behind the counter and neither greeted me. Once the barista came to help he didn't even say "hi," he just stood at the register and stared at me until I ordered. However, the girl that made my drink was very friendly and made it well. I was going to go to Whole Foods and Starbucks caught my eye. Loving their coffee I went in. I was so happy to find out that they had Cold brew on nitro. This place looks nice but if you're trying to do work then good luck. My internet literally not figuratively went out almost 5 minutes on the dot every five minutes. Then when you tried to reconnect the icon would show little to no connection availability (1 to no bars) and would do so until you out your computer to sleep and reopened it (strange discovery in and of itself) but even when reconnecting it would then, after accessing a site, disconnect after five minutes. I have been to this Starbucks multiple times and my drinks have tasted bad every time. Not only that but it takes them so long to make even if you mobile order. It took 15-20 minutes once. They have very few workers who get distracted very easily and take their time making the drinks which don't even taste good. They also close quite frequently for "maintenance" but I have seen the employees sitting there eating with no maintenance going on. I do not recommend this Starbucks the one in Solana Beach is much better. read more

This is the best Starbucks within 5 miles! Great location next to the 5 freeway, two-stall women's bathroom (a rare find!), a few doors down from Whole Foods, and the baristas and friendly and fast! I frequent this location more than any location just because it's better all-around. read more

My friends and I were coming from Rosarito and we stopped at this Starbucks location to get coffee and MAINLY use the restroom. When we got there someone was in the woman's restroom so we waited for her to come out. After a while that my friend and I were waiting we thought, this girl is taking too long. I leaned forward to try and hear if anyone is in there but couldn't hear anything I even checked the men's restroom to see if the doors lock and maybe I needed a key but we didn't it was open. I did not want to knock because I think that is rude but after waiting for so long my friend's husband came to check on us and we told him what was going on. Then he knocked really loud on the door and an Asian woman THAT WORKS there came out. I'm sure she thought it was me who knocked since my friend's husband had walked away already, and with attitude she said, "Didn't you hear me say maintenance? I am cleaning the restroom and no one can go in there." She did NOT have a cleaning sign on the door, she did NOT have a wet floor sign keeping the door open for someone at least see what was going on. The door was LOCKED closed. There was no way of anyone knowing there was "maintenance" going on. I didn't tell her anything I just quickly went in the men's restroom, I could not wait any longer. Soon after I went in I heard a knock on the door but I ignored it thinking it was my friends. When I was washing my hands I heard a knock AGAIN, when I came out the same lady that was cleaning the Woman's restroom was standing right outside the door. She had been knocking on my door thinking I was the who knocked on hers. I thought that was very rude especially since she didn't even have a sign on her door. I was so upset, we just left.I didn't even buy coffee. read more

It's kind of bad style for the employees at this store to move paying customers using a table so they can have a Starbucks employee meeting inside the store. There was room outside or they could have planned it before or after hours. read more

What I like most about this Starbucks is its location. It is close my home in solana beach. The staff are friendly and patient. It shares a parking lot with other businesses, but the parking lot is large and you can find a spot to park within reasonable walking distance. The disadvantage is that it is a bit difficult to find unless you enter from a certain side of the parking lot. PROS: the least busy location in town .. CONS: the store is very small. read more

This is the SLOWEST Starbucks in North County. There are always three people working that are more interested in talking with each other than serving the customer. Crazy that Starbucks has no way of providing feedback in their mobile app. My guess is that they don't care. read more

Elliott! Brilliant. He's a class act. He's one of the ones that shows us how it can be done. A refreshing human all around. Thinking. Helpful. Warm. A great example to employees everywhere. My experience at this Starbucks was great, and that comes from a guy that is from nyc and frequents Starbucks coast to coast. Some are much better than others and this happens to be one of them. Love the set up and the comfort as a work space. I sat for two hours writing completely able to focus. Friendly people, including the customers. There was even a special addition of live music. Big beautiful store, clean bathrooms and friendly efficient partners. Parking is sometimes a pain, but everytime I come there's always something wrong, burnt bagel, wrong bagel, bitter iced coffee ,then watered down iced coffee, but maybe I just come on an off day. read more
