I am so disappointed with the store. I go to this location 5 days a week and lately I have gotten the wrong drink 2-3 times out of the week. It starts off at ordering at the drive thru. I have to repeat my order 2-3 times. Its not a hard order. Venti Latte with soy. I have gotten it with almond milk, regular milk, with no coffee (just warm milk). I have even gotten drinks where the cup is only half full. I understand that Starbucks has a policy that will give you a free drink if they mess yours up, but it is really annoying to have to call or go back and point out that they made a mistake. I go early in the morning when there are not very many people there. I would completely understand if they were super busy and got drinks wrong but not when there are 2 cars in front of me and maybe a handful of people inside. I am definitely going to find another location that is on my way to work. read more

I was in this establishment friday afternoon. My barista Savannah took our order and about 15 minutes later our frapps were ready. Not only was the wait suuuuuper long but cars in the drive-thru kept coming and going while my boyfriend and i continued to wait for two frapps. When they finally were ready the taste was TERRIBLE!! It seems our barista when heavy on the ice and no flavor. The frapp literally tastes like water. So again we break through thr crowds and make our way back to the cash register to get our $$ back. Service was horrible and when the same employee who took our order came back to ask why we wanted our $$ back, we let her know. And no apology or nothing just here's your $$ get lost. Never going back to that location EVER!! Geez where does one find decent service nowadays??!! read more

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, this is probably the best Starbucks in El Cajon/Santee. The staff is awesome, super friendly and on top of it. The manager is great and very hands on, not just there to run the store but he really cares about the patrons. The store is always clean. They are efficient and drinks are right on every time. So far this is the best run Starbucks I've been to..Obviosly quality coffees and great "in stock" snacks..It was not too busy my last visit but I know how they handle crowds, really well..However, I had to give only 3 stars because it never fails, afternoon drive-thru lines are such ridiculous waits, that's with only 2-3 cars ahead of you too...So if time is the essence don't even attempt going thru it or your stuck min 15 minutes...They always have a great excuse though..lol read more

This Starbucks was a little different from the rest. It's nice that it's 24 hours, but the barista didn't act like she wanted to take our order. We waited for our coffee to come out, waited about 5 more minutes and went over to see that our coffee was cooling. NOBODY had called out our order for pick up. Girls working there today were super slow and much more concerned about their private conversations rather than customer service (from what I could see through the drive-thru window). I was the only car in the drive thru and the store was not busy at all. So when I asked why it took so long to make my coffee they lied and said they were "backed up". Umm, I don't think so. The fashion valley Starbucks gets backed up, lol. The Starbucks on Camino del Rio North location gets backed up. Not an empty store in El Cajon/Santee. I didn't appreciate that. They make my drink correct every time. I love the friendly baristas. The parking is okay, but I still manage to get in and out okay. The holiday drinks are spectacular and o recommend the gingerbread latte. They care about the store and even the bathrooms are super clean. There is plenty of seating and the only time it gets busy is breakfast. read more

It definitely feels like a sketchy Starbucks, but two stars for being open 24/7 (kind of). On multiple visits, they blocked off the drive thru/only way of ordering due to deliveries or "repairs" with no time period offered of when they would take orders again. The staff seem to try to do their job well, it just sucks if you drive way out of your way to go to a Starbucks advertised as 24 hrs to have it indefinitely not serving coffee when you get there...on multiple occasions. read more

This Starbucks has the single fastest drive through in San Diego county, I swear to god. When I pull forward after ordering there is always only one or two cars ahead of me waiting to pay and pick up, I spend on average maybe five minutes in their drive through, if that. And that's not because people don't go there! I have waited in the drive through line behind three+ cars to order at 7AM and every time I'm through faster than expected. Service sucked today, 12/27!! The cashier was the only nice & smiling one, but she didn't even offer me a bag for the things I bought (2 bags of coffee, a pastry and I still had a drink to carry); she did apologize tho after I asked for a bag. I asked for room on my coffee & nicely stopped the barista from filling it to the top....and the look she gave me !?!? Then the milk was empty, so I asked for milk. She passed the milk several times before going to the other side to get one. Finally, there wasn't any tall straws out (I had a venti drink) and another girl helped the drive thru customer before getting me a straw. This location is the worst, I've been overcharged the last 5 times I've been here. When I point it out they are rude. Between buying coffee for family and my staff I probably spend 300 a month at Starbucks and I'm tired of getting over charged. Horrible service!!! Took 20min for two teas and a latte. All because they didn't know about their holiday coupons. Ridiculous!!!

Warning: They unwrap your straws here. The staff is a bit slower than most Starbucks, and you can tell they're not trying at all. That's really a management problem. There doesn't appear to be proper management supervision here, or any incentive for the staff to do well (clearly no profit-sharing is going on here). True, the staff are a bunch of unsupervised children that will make your drink slightly different every time, but this store is a perfect example of how poor management makes its way to the customer through incorrect drinks being made, slow service, and making the customer feel like they are interrupting the social time of the employees. Please stop unwrapping the straws. Those are individually wrapped for the customer, not the cashier. read more

Came into this location for the 50% off expresso drink happy hour. Picking up drinks for my wife's office, and apparently the deal was for 1 drink. Savannah, supervisor on duty, handled the situation extremely well earning the location 5 stars. Not pleased with Starbucks for this promotion, but way to have an employee bail you out. The guy that helped me initially was working his first shift (first 20 minutes on the job)...he handled himself well too. read more

I do indeed love Starbucks. I just wish I could get through this drive thru in under 10 minutes. I don't care if there's one person in the drive thru getting an order, there is always a long wait. I don't understand why the baristas are so slow at this Starbucks. When I pull around to the window they're always standing around talking to one another. I stop by this starbucks quite a bit bc it's near my work. The drinks are always great and so is the staff. The only complaint I have is bc of it's location some times it's gets backed up in the drive thru and the lobby. but they're pretty quick for the amount of drinks they're making so really can't complain read more

This Is now my favriote starbucks. The staff is always friendly with a smile, the service is always on point. They never get my order incorrect. For a coffee joint that's has the same interior as every other starbucks it's up to the staff to really set it apart from the others. Ordered a toffee nut Frappuccino and didn't have an toffee nut in it. Also had 2 chocolate croissant and told them extra toasted. They gave me 2 cold chocolate croissants. I've been to this location before usually the service is mediocre at most. Today was different; in fact one of the worse experiences I've had. The barista either forgot to write my order on the cup or they gave it to the wrong people. I'm very level headed I have them the benefit of the doubt but as the 4 customers who arrived after me got their drinks I spoke up. My drinks were made poorly; about 1/2 foam in a caramel macchiato. When I asked them to fix it it tasted worse and they seem annoyed with me. I will not come here again. read more

I use drive thru as much as possible because I am always on the go. I've experienced the good, and now the bad. I generally drive thru this Starbucks between 9-9:30am on week days after I drop my son at school...each time the drive thru person is nice at the speaker box when I place my order but when I reach the window she is a whole other person - maybe they are actually separate people. The person I experience is short and acts like I am bothering her by giving her my money and taking my coffee from her. It doesn't matter how nice I am, she is, well how do I say this...? Sort of ...bitchy. The first time I experienced this I thought, "Oh well, maybe she's having an off day..." but it is EVERY TIME I go there and when I drive away I think, "Man! Why didn't I go to the one in Santee??" My experience is always me leaving thinking - I need to remember NOT to keep going back - this with the bad traffic exiting at Bradley lead to a very tense non-great experience. Just my opinion. This Starbucks is always so busy. The employees do a great job getting everyone through as quickly as possible. I recently started ordering from the app and it works great. Even though I do not order it in store, when I walk in they always greet me with a smile and acknowledge me even though I am in and out very quickly. Good job keep up the great service. read more

Okay, I travel a lot - like 3 states worth and I stop at a lot of Starbucks cause I can depend on the quality and its a safe place to grab a snack too. I can't say I always liked this location, in fact I called in a complaint about it once because I was so P-**d off about the crappy service... but, hey someone was listening! They got a new guy manager who really turned things around and a great assist mgr Lani.. I have to say that I just got one of the best Caffe Lattes I have ever had - super creamy and no woody taste at all. I tried their new Berry Stella which is healthy in disguise and I liked the new Spinach roll thing too. I found that grabbing their veggie tray or the new protein tray works great for me since I can eat them on the run. Hope they leave this unit open... the Starbucks at Parkway Plaza rocks too - cool people work there :o) read more

This starbucks is full of outgoing, fun and friendly employees. I've been a faithful customer to this location for over a year now. only ever had 1 big mess up on drink order but was given full refund after emailing corporate! Sometimes the coffee flavor isn't as strong as any other Starbucks but they haven always given me some extra coffee if I asked and for free! The seating arrangement is a little cramped and it runs a little warm inside, but still is my fave location! read more
