Once that was corrected, I drove away and checked my order only to discover that one ice cream was completely missing and another was incorrect. I ordered Cookies & Cream, but was given coffee-flavored ice cream instead. When I contacted the store, I was told they had substituted it because they were out of Cookies & Cream and considered coffee to be the "most similar" option. Additionally, another item was simply left out because it was out of stock. The most frustrating part was that no one contacted me about substitutions or asked whether I wanted a different flavor. Instead, items were either replaced without approval or omitted entirely. To make matters worse, the substituted ice cream was served in a small kids-sized cup. Mistakes can happen, but clear communication and attention to customer orders are important. I expect to receive what I ordered or at least be given the opportunity to choose a replacement when an item is unavailable.
