I did not receive any service...I did not try any food. Ambiance thumbs down. I waited at the register to be helped, and nobody assisted me. I thought maybe this was a location where they only did drive through or order through the app. After asking the drive-thru employee do I order there at the register she told her co-worker and he looked at her and smiled. He did not move towards the register...so I don't know what happened after that because I turned and walked away. This location is emblematic of everything wrong with Starbucks. In 2002, I worked at Starbucks in south Florida, and for the first week we "trained" to taste coffee, prepare drinks, etc. The ethos of Starbucks was fresh coffee, friendly baristas, and a welcoming place to come relax. They called it "the third place", as in your home was your "first place"; your job location was your "second place"; and Starbucks would be the welcoming, friendly coffee shop environment "third place". You could work on your laptop, read, sip your coffee, enjoy a chat with friends or locals, etc. This location just underwent a major renovation which probably attempted to streamline operations to balance a very busy drive-thru with a very busy mobile order pickup, which comes at the cost of lobby space. The lobby where you order quickly fills up with the backlog of people waiting for their mobile orders or in-person placed drink orders. Baristas call drink orders and names under their breath, while the counter is covered in orphan drinks while customers eagerly await their opportunity to leave. Patrons walking in aren't sure if the crowd is waiting to place orders, waiting for their drinks, or just waiting. The interior no longer has indoor seating, entirely replaced by a massive kitchen and prep area. The lobby for ordering or receiving drinks is now 10x12, and fresh off the trend of social distancing after COVID, the space is tiny and pointless. Starbucks no longer even attempts to gain customer interest in relaxing and enjoying the "third place". By no means is this location understaffed; the hustle and bustle behind the counter is forever trying to satisfy people's cravings for caffeine. The beast must be fed, and this location is more like a vending machine than a "third place." I ordered a hibiscus refresher, a warmed croissant, and a grande black coffee for almost $12. The iced beverage and croissant came first, as the back of house baristas were making drinks like the assembly line workers they've become. However, my coffee somehow took longer and longer, and I watched as customers who came in after me left with their drinks while I waited. Starbucks used to do "snapshots" where they'd send a secret shopper to order coffee and a pastry; they would evaluate the service, cleanliness, the chatty-ness of the baristas, etc. When they left, the secret shopper would literally measure the temperature of the coffee, the fluid ounce measurement, and report the score. Given the cost and the renovated "ambiance", I'd say the good days of Starbucks is dead. Even McDonalds has renovated to find ways to welcome customers and get them to stay. Starbucks, on the other hand, couldn't get rid of you any quicker than with the layout of this store. read more

I ordered a hot green tea with classic. There is a reason why I don't get it as a latte. I am lactose. That means that my stomach has a difficulty processing milk. I drank it with the lid on and I got a latte. The girl asked me what I ordered before handing off my items to me. I mention hot emperors cloud with classic. This isn't the first time that this placed fouled up my order. I decided to give them a second chance. The first time: they doubled added a food item. Of course, I pay and don't add up the cost. All I can say is that I didn't eat the second item. It went to waste. This place has an issue with their microphone on the customer end or the staff can't hear while in the main area. However, when I am receiving the food. The order needs to be repeated back to the customer so this mistake doesn't occur repeatedly. I am going to be honest about my review because I have been coming here for years. I went today on 10/16/2025 at around 5:30 PM and ordered online before going to the drive-thru. That portion of the experience was good even with two people in front of me. The problem that I had was that when I was given my hot coffees, the first a caramel macchiato and the second a pumpkin spice latte no foam (as context I also ordered a pumpkin spice frapp), the hot coffee cups were dirty and I asked to make a new one for each. The lady was polite and apologized and took them back but two to five minutes later she came back with new cups but with no labels so I had to guess which one was which. Also, instead of making new ones, the barista just poured them into new cups. When I got home, the pumpkin spice latte was missing a portion of the drink. The cashier also, I saw that before handling my drinks, I saw her pick up trash and then handling a customer's food without washing her hands after. As someone who works in healthcare, that was concerning. I understand output but I also understand quality and of course that the new CEO is trying to make major changes to the company brand. I have had bad experiences with this Fontana, CA Summit locations and decided to give it another chance. I am regretting that. I prefer the Sierra Lakes or outside of the Victoria Gardens locations and they have better service. I was thinking about letting this go but I figured an honest review was a good thing to place here since the C-Suite members and (hopefully) management are trying to make good changes. read more

So, this is for the Starbucks on Summit in Fontana CA - I've been patronizing this business for a few years. I have this thing for the "Pink Drink" made with Soy Milk and no ice. For the past year or so, I've been paying $6.25 for a "Vente" size. (For the most part, the service has been adequate). So, at approximately 5:30 PM on 11/26, I ordered by standard, the cashier stated "pull forward and I will give you your total". When I arrived at the window, he quoted me $7.25. I asked if the pricing has increased, and he said no. So, I asked "why are you charging me an extra $1.00. He said, "because you are asking for additional product". I said no sir, I asked for a vente size, and that's what I want. He went further to explain that because I'm asking for no ice, that is considered additional product. I said no sir, additional product would be for a larger size. With a little back and forth, he reluctantly removed the $1.00 charge. If Starbucks is going to move forward with their new strategy, the menu should reflect that ice is mandatory, or you will receive a half cup on your orders. I hate writing a bad Starbucks review because my husband and I are big Starbucks fans, however today was an AWFUL experience. We went through the drive thru and ordered a venti medicine ball and venti dark coffee, as well as some breakfast sandwiches for our kids. When we pulled to the window, my husband was handed my medicine ball without a sleeve and double cupped (totally fine), however his was not double cupped and didn't have a sleeve. He immediately noticed how hot it was, so moved his hand up to the lid where it was cooler. The lid popped off and the coffee spilt all over his stomach and groin area (see pictures below). I feel like that should be basic knowledge for an employee to either sleeve the coffee or double cup, especially with this scolding hot coffee!! In this case, it ended up pretty horribly for my husband. After reading the reviews below, I can see the employees are overworked and understaffed. Hopefully this will alert Starbucks to properly staff their locations. Things like this could be avoided when the proper number of employees are working together and this location absolutely needs assistance. My matcha latte always has chunks of matcha in it. The bottom of my drink always has a layer of dark green matcha powder that didn't get mixed into the drink. They are adding the matcha powder to the drink after adding the ice, which means it doesn't mix right. The baristas are not helpful and welcoming. I'm very timid and feel bad to bring up an issue, but when I bring this up to the barista they will try to gaslight me by telling me they added the right amount of matcha, they know how to make the drink right, and I'm remembering it wrong. I am not one to write negative reviews but me and my husband visited this location through drive-thru. We pulled up to the window and their customer service was just not okay. The lady named 'Brittany' came up to the window and asked my husband if he flipped them off at the window...while we looked at each other in shock, she continued to say that was not okay and my husband finally spoke up and said it was not him that he would never. She just said okay and didn't apologize about accusing him of doing such a thing. I don't know what they saw in that camera or if it needs to be cleaned but that was NOT okay to talk to him that way. The other lady just handed us our drinks without a word and closed the window. The Starbucks at I-15 and Summit's Drive-Thru. is the worst. I have literally been in this drive thru line for over 20 minutes and there is still 3 cars ahead of me. This isn't an isolated time. I live right down the street and have been in this drive thru several times in the past years. If you use the drive thru, EXPECT to spend no LESS than a half an hour in line. I drive all around the state and go to Starbucks often and the one by my own home is the WORST. When I am inside, totally different story, fast service. Also I'd like to mention that the staff is always friendly. With that said I am now at 35 minutes and the three. Are in front of me, have not moved. The people are friendly, drinks are delivered in a reasonable time. But the music is sooo loud! Wish they can tone it down a little.

Although I absolutely love Starbucks, this is definitely one I only visit as a last resort. I can honestly say the only good thing here is the merch and location. There hasn't been a visit where something doesn't go wrong. To start off, the orders are never ready by the time promised. The wait at the drive thru line feels eternal and sadly most of the times there isn't even a lot of cars. Another thing that I just can't look past of is that too many times the lids aren't properly placed on the cups, specially the hot ones. Also, the day they were giving out the Christmas cups I only got 2 for 5 drinks then when I bring it up to the barista's attention she goes " Oh it's 5 not 2, I didn't notice all the drinks qualified for the cup" THEY WERE ALL THE SAME KIND TO BEGIN WITH, smh.
