Been coming to this location every week after a morning hike up the hill at Brand Park. Probably one of the most spacious Starbucks stores. Plenty of room inside and they even have plenty of outdoor seating. Baristas, however, are not the friendliest ones I've encountered. After going here on a weekly basis for over a month and running into the same baristas, I still don't get a friendly and welcoming vibe. Friendly baristas who take the time to say hi and get to know you certainly makes a Starbucks visits more special. Definitely not 4 or 5 star when also taking into account the available parking for this Starbucks. I'm so used to my regular Starbucks and there is a reason for that. Today was the second disappointment in this week. I get $5 gift card from my wireless service every month and I go in and add to my gold card. They messed it up yesterday at the other store and I tried this store today and same thing. The tall blonde girl with glasses couldn't do it and said I can't use the card and when I asked her to call someone else she called another girl by the name of Chiara and she scanned it twice and gave me the same answer. In the mean time since they scanned my gift card and voided it my balance became zero. I stepped out and called customer service and they fixed it but the moral of the story is that why can't they get it right and only specific stores are capable of doing certain things Also, while I'm writing this I got my drink ready and guess what? Wrong drink. Since it was 115 degree today I wanted some refreshing passion tea lemonade and I got passion tea instead. Thank goodness the guy made it right on the spot. read more

Avoid. Think about whether you need coffee that bad before coming here. It is THE worst location of any Starbucks I've ever been to. Handful of parking spots and that's it. No convenient parking, you go either across the street at the Rite Aid, or take your chances on the other side in the neighborhood. That is after you navigate the atrocious intersection. Parking by this Starbucks sucks unless you park on Burchett by the Acapulco if there are spots and walk across the street. The atmosphere isn't bad; there are usually people hanging out outside the location and I've always seen the tables mostly full and such. There have been great days and awful days at this location. When I was pregnant, I'd get venti iced SOY DECAF caramel machiattos or whatever drinks that were soy AND decaf. There was a time where the barista made my drink that wasn't soy, and my tummy cannot handle that much milk without hurting a bit, so he remade the drink, but then it wasn't decaf. *siiiigh* That drink took sooo long to receive. Some baristas here are awesome, and others well... the other reviews explains a lot of it, such as them being a bit "frustrated" (death glare, isn't too pleasant, etc) when a question is asked or when something is pointed out or even just during a simple order. There was this time when I had to wait a while to order because the guy was cleaning, but my drink got upgraded a drink size, so yeeeey for that great customer service moment experiment. Parking is scarce. Better thing to do is put in a mobile order and if your lucky you can grab that one green curb. Parking isn't allowed at Jack in the box but people do it anyways. Service is hit or miss. Allen has given me the best customer service. That's why it's 3 stars. It was busy, and one girl was spacey, because she kept weirdly pausing in between taking my order and even after she repeated my order correctly and after I got my drinks, and the line got longer, I had to wait just to ask where my pastry was, because she completely forgot. Five Stars because the employees are always pleasant. I don't usually yelp but I felt the need to today. I really wanted the starbucks holiday reusable cups that I knew would sell out so I called and informed whoever answered the phone that I wasn't able to drive to them but my coworker and I really wanted a cup and I asked if it was possible to get it through uber eats, she explained to me exactly what I had to do and was very understanding. I 100% appreciate great customer service and this starbucks is high on the list for that. Service here is usually really quick. I'll set a mobile order as I'm exiting off the 134 freeway at Pacific and by the time I walk into the store, my order is already ready! Rachel is also one of the coolest baristas around and actually gets to know you as you frequent the place. They did remove a lot of the seating they used to have, though, and have replaced it mostly with standing bar only. You only have about 3 tables left in here now. The parking situation is also absolutely terrible. Outside of about 7 parking spots in the front, you'll have to fight for street parking in a populated residential area or park at Jack in the Box and hope you get out fast enough before your car is towed. read more

Sooooo.... Christian just ruined my morning. I walk in to get my daily dose of Starbucks and get the amoeba of customer service representatives as my cashier. I've never been to this location before, and I'll never return here again. Keep in mind, there is only 1 person in line behind me. No crowd, no rush hour stress for him to deal with at this moment. Just plain rude behavior. This is how it went down : Me: 'Hi!' :) Christian : blank stare / frown mouth. Me: 'Okay...... May I have a tall soy iced caramel Macchiato with easy ice?' Christian: 'Tall iced caramel Macchiato. OK, your total is...' Me: (Interrupting him) 'Excuse me... That's SOY with EASY ICE, please..' Christian: 'OK. Your total is'.. ME: (Interrupting again) 'Excuse me. I'd also like to order pastries. 2 Lemon loaves please. Did you get the easy ice?' Christian: (Audible sigh) 'OK.. Your total is $11.47' He then speaks to another employee loudly and says "Can you get her 2 Lemon loaves?!" As I'm getting my MasterCard out of my wallet, he asks the one and only customer behind me what she wants to drink. I swipe my card and finish payment as he tells her the total - before even finishing with me and I'm still standing right in front of his face - and he REACHES PAST MY FACE AND TAKES HER MONEY TO RING HER UP. Did I accidentally wear my Harry Potter invisibility cloak this morning? WTF? I am now annoyed and say "Excuse me. I need my receipt." He says "Uh Huh" and prints it out and hands it to me. I didn't really need my receipt, I just wanted him to acknowledge that he had moved past me prior to properly taking care of me. I then go to the pickup counter and the sweet lady there cheerfully hands me my drink which is a cup full of ice with a bit of liquid in it. I look at the cup and good old Christian didn't (wouldn't?) write EZ ICE on the cup. I kindly advised the nice lady that I asked Christian for EZ ICE 3 times. She laughed and nodded as if to say that is an all to familiar issue when amoeba works the register and happily said she'd make me another drink. I then ask her if she knows where my Lemon loaves are as she hands me my corrected drink. She speaks to another crew member who stated she'd get them for me right away and to meet her at the counter at the other end. I meet her there and she hands me my Lemon loaves. She notices that I seem perturbed when just moments ago I walked in quite happily ready for a treat. I asked her if she was a manger, she said she was a shift supervisor. I told her about what I had just experienced and how disappointed I was because I ALWAYS have 5 star experiences at any Starbucks I go to. This is my first time here and I get completely disserviced and dismissed. Sad. She was VERY gracious and kind, she asked what she could do to make me happy and to make it better. She offered me a complimentary pastry, I declined and thanked her for her courtesy and professionalism. The staff and management here are very nice. Pastries are fresh and drinks are made well. Been coming to this Starbucks on a somewhat usual basis. I know there have been plenty of reviews about Starbucks but this one has its perks. My favorite part about this location is that it is literally right off the freeway and next to the entrance so it's super convenient in the morning to pick up my coffee and breakfast before heading to work downtown. I also have had great service at this location. On weekends this place does get pretty packed with students studying and people just enjoying themselves. Just like any Los Angeles location the number one question is where to park. There is very limited parking in front of the establishment, but there is a neighborhood along the street you can park on or park in the Rite Aid Lot and walk across. Overall, I have had pretty good experiences here thus far, an average Starbucks with decent service, but nothing to rave about. The convenience for commuters is the biggest key for me and is why I will keep coming back to this location. read more

By far the worst Starbucks location to my experience! I normally don't do negative reviews, just not my thing... but the attitude of one barista forced me to leave this review for future patrons! The brunette lady with curly hair had the guts to throw my cheese danish on the counter when I told her my pastry has burnt toast crumbs on it! Even when I explained to her that I get this order from different locations and it has never turned that way, another barista told me they're all the same way with an "attitude". This place barely has any seating area at all! It's a beautiful place with glass windows as walls and a view overlooking the street, but that's nothing if you don't have a place to sit down!!!! There is only 2-3 tables and 2 single person chairs in this HUGE spacious area. When I asked if there were chairs, they said no and we had to sit outside in the cold :/ Parking is also limited but there is some street parking in the residential areas. read more

I've been coming to this location almost everyday for the past two weeks & I've been so frustrated that they don't enforce the no smoking ordinance. The same people smoke because they know they can. I spoke to one of the employees who said, "it's the Armenians...thanks for letting me know...", yet he didn't ask the person to stop smoking. I ended up having to ask. I also spoke to the manager who seemed dismissive about it. He sd when he's here he does ask them to move. He did, but I felt it was only because I pointed it out. He even said that he laughed when the ordinance passes because he didn't think it would work. It doesn't work because its not enforced by establishments in particular this one. Parking is a pain and there's often trash that the neighboring business owner is picking up Starbucks trash (cups/napkins, ect). The staff is nice as most are in all locations. The outside seating is the nicest shaded area I've seen in a Starbucks, but unfortunately overshadowed by the smell of cigarettes at times. This is the closest location to my daughter's summer camp where I can get work done, but I won't be returning after the end of the month. read more

A small Starbucks with few parking space to find. I came in a non-rush hour @9:00AM. The service is slow and though the line is getting longer, the staff are not sensitive that people are waiting. I came after working long day till 2am. I can't believe that the barista can afford to make chit chat and talk TMZ like with a customer while leaving the line running long. Avoiding frustration to get bad coffee from this bad customer service, I just decided to get it somewhere else. I honestly I don't know how it has 3 stars but whatever.. I've lived directly next to the Starbucks since it first opened (it used to be part of the salon next door! Throwback! That's 13+ years) Pros - great outdoor seating area, old school baristas still there, decent drinks most of the time Cons - the hang out for some of the loudest people around, horrible parking (so bad people even block or park IN my drive way! I know coffee is addicting but seriously?!), not very clean which is unusual because Starbucks has some of the highest standards in a company when it comes to cleanliness. I love it because it's so close but I'm also conflicted because of the type of customers that surround such a great location. Also, I don't know if the new baristas are getting properly trained or aren't as passionate about what Starbucks wants to represent but they cannot make a dirty chai to save their lives. I've gone back on three separate occasions because it literally tasted like watered down espresso and cinnamon. Mind you I'm not picky but I know what the drink is supposed to taste like. Luckily for me it's literally 10 steps away. Obviously this location is the most popular in Glendale and I'm glad some people have recieved great service but I just hope that the new employees bring some more enthusiasm to the counter and the lingering customers realize that it's still a neighborhood and they can learn to respect the homeowners and the street. read more

The workers here don't really embody the happy, clappy caffeine addicts of the world unite attitude usually associated with Starbux. Customer service is so-so, which is plain irritating. They close early which is very inconvenient. They don't get your drink quite right and parking spaces are inadequate. They haven't made proper use of all the great space inside- there is scant furniture available - though plenty of seats outside if the weather is nice. It will serve the purpose if you are desperate, but there's a better Starbucks literally a few blocks away, up on Pacific and Stocker - go there instead. Okay, rant over. read more

Sigh. This Starbucks has always lacked for the duration of my times in going there, but this last trip was sort of the last time. I always use my gift card and reload it. When you register it, you get free drinks after you buy so many drinks. In any case I ended up getting a frapp for hubby and I and got a few pastries. Totally not realizing it, I had sort of spent more than what I wanted to put on the card so I had asked to put the drinks on the card and the pastries on my debit card. The worker told me that he was unable to change what he had charged on the register. You have got to be kidding me. I even asked him if he was serious because I've never experienced such laziness, either that or he was new. Needless to say, the disappointment that I had felt at that very moment somewhat consumed me and I instantly began to miss my normal Starbucks barista on Verdugo in Montrose. Well, it didn't end there either....not only was the whipped cream old and hot, but no mocha was sprinkled on top of either frapp. Oh, and the pastries were extremely old and hard.
