This location is consistently disappointing. I've given it a few chances (2-3 visits), and something has gone wrong every single time. I ordered a drink at 6:50 AM and didn't receive it until 7:20 AM--even though the store wasn't busy at that moment(i know its usually busy in the morning). When I picked up my order, I noticed one of the drinks was incorrect. I went back to clarify, and instead of a simple apology or solution, the staff member gave me attitude, insisting the names matched. I had to point out that the time stamp showed it was someone else's order with the same name. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, I was met with silence and dismissiveness. The long wait times here are no better than going to a nicer cafe, where at least the service and attitude are better. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

Unbelievably poor experience at this location enough to question if anyone in management cares about customer service. This place is chaos: no parking, no designated spots for mobile orders, and the drive-thru line constantly blocks everything. I came to pick up a mobile order for my office, pulled in through the alley, and found two cars already there and a team member managing the drive-thru. I waited patiently, but the employee ignored me entirely, letting three more cars pull up and cut in which weren't there when I arrived. When I finally moved forward to clarify that I was just picking up an order, he snapped, 'I don't care' and told me to 'get in line.' It's not just bad service... it's outright disrespect. I had to abandon my pickup and have my office reorder from a different location due to this location's utter lack of organization and courtesy. This situation demands immediate attention from corporate. If basic parking and decent customer service are too much to ask, customers will go elsewhere. read more

I am taking the time and effort to review this particular Starbucks because it's the most unique experience. Why do I say this? I have never been to a Starbucks where all the staff are not only extremely hard workers, but they are genuinely happy. Not just for a day, but EVERY single day. I've been coming to this particular location for close to a month every day. Each and every member of staff are remarkable! (To the point I'm reviewing this location) I'll miss them when I go. From front to back; left to right; from the drive through window to the regular front register to the team making the drinks. The STAFF here, without a shadow of a doubt are the best I've seen. (I travel for a living and spent lots of time overseas. From Dubai to Australia, Japan to Europe (where I'm originally from) Bangkok to Hong Kong and most states in the USA, because of this Team, they are BY FAR, not just a little, BY FAR the best team working in a Starbucks location. There are a few around the area BUT, it's the STAFF that makes you want to come to this location. Again, THIS TEAM OF STAFF ARE BY FAR THE BEST! check it out and you'll see! Tried to order a cortado and the barista looked at me like I was crazy and said she couldn't make it! Proceeded to explain to her what it is (2oz espresso, 2oz steamed milk) and she still told me she couldn't make it! I swear starbucks has both espresso and milk but maybe I'm the fool here. She then told me it hadn't come out yet which is funny because it originated about 100 years ago in Spain so I'm pretty sure it's out. These aren't baristas here, it's embarrassing. i honestly don't know who trained these baristas. please find someone new to train your baristas because they cannot make a simple frappuccino. its a bit embarrassing. i came to this location because i was in the area after visiting a friend instead of taking a trip to my local starbucks. long story short, i ended up having to take a trip to my local starbucks. ‍ i came in from the drive thru line and had ordered a vanilla bean frap with 2 pumps of peppermint syrup, 1 pumps of mocha syrup with whip cream and chocolate twirls on top. my local starbucks never have a problem when i order this drink so i didn't think it would be a problem for this location. however it was a major problem. i do appreciate the barista at the window trying to make it work however the barista inside just didn't seem to understand what i wanted. after, taking the barista at the window 3 times to come back, taking about 5-10 mins to figure out my drink, and holding up the line i decided i wanted my money back. this experience at this location was honestly laughable. the simplest basic drink you can make turned into the most complicated drink. train your baristas better. read more

After I got my order I realized I needed napkins so I walked back to the window and this white blond girl looked at me shocked and was cussing from other side of window and then opened to tell me that it's illegal to walk through a drive through, after which I proceeded to tell her that my car was right there and we had just ordered and I came back to just get some napkins. read more

Matcha Pineapple's made with matcha powder, pineapple-ginger syrup, coconut milk and ice. Pink Drink's made with strawberry-acai-passionfruit juice or tea, coconut milk and slices of strawberry. Violet Drink's made with blackberries, hibiscus refresher, coconut milk and ice. Golden Ginger Drink's turmeric, pineapple-ginger syrup, coconut milk and ice. All great hydration drinks made with coconut milk. I didn't like the flavor of the Golden Ginger. So, I won't recommend it, but it's still great for hydration. Anyway, I was told by the Starbucks drivethru order-taking employee today that the matcha pineapple was being made with regular milk that's why they only sell it at 20oz. Real milk's expensive. And because I'm lactose-intolerant, I ordered the largest Violet Drink. However, I returned home and checked all the ingredients. Those are suppose to be all the current coconut milk based drinks. And the morale of this Starbucks Review is to always ask what your drink is made with when ordering. Sometimes, they give you a choice of milk. I am a big Starbucks drinker, I have come to this location a number of times trying to give them a chance. Now I understand it's busy, I have worked as a manager in a retail setting for well over 15 years. Not comparing the two but I get it, they constantly mess up on ingredients (sweetener and dairy options). They never fill the drinks to the top. My usual drink 99% of the time is a venti shaken espresso, I have absolutely no issues at any other locations but this one!!! Why is my venti drink filled to a grande!!!! No other Starbucks has ever done that, I mean EVER!!! It's always filled to the size I order, does your staff need retraining because it does sound that way! Very unhappy customer! This "bucks is one of three drive thru units in Glendale: the first being the joint on Central, this is the 2nd and the third way down on lower Central which used to be a burger joint. (a 4th drive thru is on the way on Central and California which use to be Hondo's many moons ago). This Starbucks here is in an awkward to enter place on Glenoaks (ok, yes i have had a couple altercations with dummkopfs that try to butt in line but perhaps didn't take into account that i would get out of my car and straighten out their roll) yet has really good customer service and Baristas that are first rate. I mean they actually listen to what you are ordering and follow your directions. Most people order on the straight and narrow and don't stray away from that. But i am not one of those peeps in that i order something that makes the Baristas think. What is positive about this unit is that i almost always get my drink made as per my order. Plus all of the people that work here are pleasant, concerned and actually seem like they want to do a more than good job. As far as the wares they sell here the results after sampling a lot of their menu....are variable. The drip coffee is good at least as far as the Dark Roast is concerned. the DR is fruity, earthy with walnut notes. A very good cup of Joe. The best of the baked goods as far as i am concerned is the Butter Croissant as long as it is heated which brings out it best qualities: buttery, flaky, silky goodness. The scones are iffy except during the Fall when the pumpkin is available. Several of the scones you could use as a hockey puck: they are that hard! The Breakfast sammies are good: too fatty i think but decadently delicious. Other than that i have not eaten much else here though the kiddoes love the cake pops...which i do as well especially the "birthday" variety. Oh yeah, the Egg Bites: good yet way too expensive and calorie laden except the egg white and veg variety. Drive thru is the way to go here and this crew knows how to deal with this process. Kudos to the crew as far as keeping the cars moving through quickly and producing the orders fast and competently. People here that are standouts: Gage, Tatyana, Nick and others whose names i cannot recall. Generally a good crew here. Cheers! read more

So I have to come here one morning a week because my regular Starbucks isn't open at 5 a.m. It's not such a big deal except this one needs improvement! The employees aren't as friendly as they spend their time gossiping and chatting with each other about friends, dates, etc. If you're lucky, you might get a hi from 1 of the 3 employees opening up in the morning. I've done 5 mobile orders here and 4 times they've forgotten my food item. When I ask for it, they quickly throw it in the oven and take it out before the set time so your food isn't as hot or crispy. Once they apologized for forgetting, the other 3 times they just toss the bag of food on the counter and walk away as if annoyed you interrupted their conversation. It is unfortunate since the other Starbucks nearby have such great employees.... Oh, and they never have the 1/2 and 1/2 out. I've had to ask every morning. I gave 2 stars because it has a drive thru and the store is clean. read more

I think there's something wrong with the barista that works here on Friday between 7-8pm. I ordered a two custom drinks with extra sweet cream cold foam and light ice. The guy did the total opposite. He put MORE ice and LESS foam on both drinks. I blame this on management for not hiring quality employees.
