I don't mind waiting most of the time but the line was not moving.. with 8 people in line. In another note , the place is not very kept. If you're looking for a Starbucks on your drive up or down the 5, this place works just fine. Pretty standard SB joint. A little farther off the freeway than some of the others, but if you're heading south between SF and LA it's the last one before the Grapevine. Very very slow service make sure you have at least a half hour. Very understaffed and the coffee was overly burnt.

For anyone complaining please understand that they're severely understaffed and over worked. A lot of customers order 5+ drinks especially when it's hot it's hard to bang out Frappuccino's while maintaining quality. They work as fast as they can give them a break, tip them, if you don't have patience go to a gas station and get coffee or LB. read more

Great location but this place needs to be at least double the size and have triple the restrooms! With all the noise and chaos, it was very difficult for the Starbucks order taker to hear what orders are being given and for the customers to hear their order being spoken back to them. Once They get your order right, they sure whip up a mighty fine drink and have a great menu offering but far too many customers in a far too small location. read more

We stop at this Starbucks often - on our roadtrips to NorCal and the staff here are always, always, friendly, courteous, and cheerful. Several times, during holiday weekends, the line was to the door and they were extremely busy, but they never wavered from great customer service. Once, we came and they were extremely short-staffed. Very disappointed in the service at this Starbucks. Initially only made one of my four ordered drinks. After they made my three other drinks, I realized the first drink they made was wrong. Ordered two drinks: one Butter scotch frappe and one caramel macchiato with extra caramel. Went thru drive thru and hopped back onto the 5 fwy. Took a sip and realized they added the extra caramel in my butter scotch frappe and my bf's caramel macchiato was unsweetened. We both couldn't drink our drinks. Waste of $10 and was still very tired for our drive. Will not be returning to this Starbucks. We'll take a redbull, monster or rockstar from the gas station cause atleast we will get what we want. read more

Literally the slowest Starbucks you'll ever go to. It's honestly comical how slow this place is. I just can't believe they're still open. I normally stop here and yes they are super slow inside so I decided to go through the drive-thru. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I pulled in and waited & waited & the line didn't move, I was hoping to back out but couldn't as there were three cars behind me. I waited about 10 minutes for one car before me to move so I could order & then the girl says "We are really busy it will take 10 minutes to get to the window for your order, are you ok with this?" how stupid, how are you supposed to answer as you are trapped in the drive-thru (this is what I told her) and then she said she would be back to take my order. Well it took about 20 minutes to get my order & there were maybe 4 cars in front of me. Once I got to the window I still had to wait for them to make my drink. Store hours posted online and on their door said they were open til 11pm. After a long frustrating job in San Diego, the crew and I were driving back up to Northern California much later than we wanted and needed some great Starbucks coffee to finish the trip. We arrive at 10:15pm. They had locked the doors and were cleaning. Refusing us service. We didn't make a big deal of it and left, but I was frustrated enough to say something. Bad business to give people an expectation that you'll be able to serve them, and after they've gone out of their way to give you business, you turn them away. read more

Avoid this place if possible. I've never been in such an awful Starbucks! I went in for an iced tea and came out over 30 minutes later with the wrong drink... The line was long and slow moving. They were sending drive thru customers out front to park and wait for their drinks. I even witnessed a man come in who'd been waiting for 15 min parked outside after they said they'd bring his drink out. I ordered a simple iced tea with Splenda. Sounds simple enough, yet 15 minutes later, I was still standing there watching everyone else get their complicated orders. When I went up to ask about my drink, I got no apology but a curt "we didn't have your order". I finally got my iced tea and they still managed to screw it up with no Splenda as ordered. Yes, the place was busy but there were at least 9 "baristas"(if you can even call them that) running around completely disorganized. I don't understand how they could fall so behind with so much staff. Also, the bathrooms were filthy and out of paper and seat covers. One door had no lock. How does an employee not know what size is what? I purchased four drinks and clearly told the employee what size I wanted each drink. When I got them, two drinks were the wrong size. I told him that my tea had to be a trenta and he said that he could not give me that size since he charged my drink as a venti but he could pour my drink in a trenta size and add more ice. I came to this location (10-08-15) Got an ice coffee with coconut milk and iced coconut milk chai. Waited over 5 min for my drink (this location was not busy at the time). Then they messed up my ice coffee and made it really sweet. Brought it back they remade it. read more

Poor customer experience... Drinks were made wrong ( weak and no color on the very berry hibiscus ) and the barista tried to argue about it... Same with my Black Tea with cool lime...no water added. It was a hint of black tea and minimal cool lime with yellowed line wheels. After asking to have the Berry hibiscus remade and getting attitude from the barista, Ruben, didn't want to ask to remake my tea. Bummer - this locations can't handle mobile apps. Had our order and stated, "We received it, we just haven't filled it!" Not crowded inside and people ordering after we arrived received their orders all before we received ours. We watched 5 orders go in and out before ours! Highly suggest just order when you get there, much faster that way! Had to even ask for last item that was just sitting on a shelf. Kinda disappointed in you Starbucks location that is my go-to on my trip from Sacramento to Monterey and back again... Just because you deal primarily with travelers and not regular clientele does not excuse you from consistent, efficient, accurate, timely and friendly service. On my recent trip to Monterey (April 2012), I stopped here for a stretch and caffeine recharge. After waiting in a fairly long line (not unusual for Starbucks) for quite some time (not up to par with other locations) I was told there were several orders before mine and it would be a few minutes. OK - I'm patient, but as I started to see people who ordered after me get their drinks I asked about my drink only to discover they had "lost" my order. (How do you lose a cup... with my name on it... in a line of other cups?) Other locations have given me a coupon for a free drink upon my next order when they have made me wait for even half as long as I did this time... not here. I got really weak "sorry" and "what size did you order? - we'll give you the bigger size for free." (If I wanted the big size I would have ordered it, right?) So, I resumed my delayed journey (20+ minutes at Starbucks to use the restroom and get a coffee seems a BIT long, yes?) slightly more irritated, delayed, but with more caffeine than I bargained for. Upon my return trip 2 days later, I thought I'd give them a chance at redemption before writing a poor review. Too bad... for me and them. Bathroom wasn't fully stocked... not good for what I'm sure is a favorite spot for many travelers to take a break. Then I ordered - which went smoothly and not too long. And waited for my name/drink to be called. And waited. When once again I saw people who'd ordered after me getting their drinks I went up and saw that my drink was sitting there... on the counter, without someone having called my name or the drink out loud. (normally not a big deal - but with as many people waiting for drinks it isn't like you can just stand at the counter and wait). With no one nearby I grabbed my drink and left... disappointed again. They get two stars for making my drink correctly and because it is Starbucks which does serve a good coffee and is still preferred over McDonalds as a stopping point in this location. However they really need to step up their customer service skills at this busy location. read more

We literally just got told that they could not take our order for 15 - 20 minutes. When asked why it was because they are super busy and understaffed. Odd thing is the place is not that busy. The parking lot is small to begin with and shares a parking lot with a pizza place however the parking lot is not even full and drive thru is empty. If I could give this Starbucks ZERO I would, I complained about this Starbucks 4 months ago and I will again. Apparently staff and corporate don't read review. This is the WORST Starbucks EVER. I mobile ordered 3 drinks and 2 breakfast sandwiches because they were available on the mobile order site.. other items stated unavailable. I wakes in to pick up my items waiting for 5 minutes before anyone said anything, so I asked if they had a mobile order in my name.. well they only had one of my drinks available.. they were sold out of cold brew for the their two drinks and the 2 breakfast sandwhich So.. me working in a customer service field just chose from other options I was given. I waited and waited.. well my drink was made wrong.. so I waited again and they re made them and they still tasted EH OK.. but I was tired of waiting so I took them.. I've had this issue so many times with this place, but sadly it's the closest one to home and in the direction I was headed. If there was a Starbucks closer I would absolutely go there instead. When you're on a road trip and go to the drive thru Starbucks, the entire point is convenience. I ordered iced coffee with milk and sweetener. She read it back correctly and some how still didn't type it in right despite confirming it. Got my order and by the time I took a sip had already left I the drive thru. I couldn't drink it because it had no sweetener, so instead of this being a convenient stop for caffeine on a long drive, it was an irritating waste of time and money.
