This Starbuck's location is one of my favorite spots for a business meeting or a place to work for a while. The staff members at this site are always very positive, friendly and fun to be around. You can tell there are many returning customers, Metra commuters and local community employees that come hear because the baristas know them by name. It's a small but powerful thing to be greeted so warmly as you enter this location, and genuinely thanked on your way out. I appreciate that! My go-to drink is a Skinny Vanilla Latte hot or cold. I love that this is located across from the Metra train station. Now that I think about it though, all the Metra train stations seem to have a walkable Starbucks nearby. However, you have to cross a large, busy street to get to this location. Starbucks closed at 4:00pm on Christmas day, but I managed to stop by about half an hour before they closed for my needed caffeinated drink. It took every ounce of me not to pass out from food coma following lunch with my parents. They always manage to make sure I leave uncomfortably full every time that I visit and eat with them! This Starbucks is on the small side with some tables scattered on the left and right when you enter. The counter is located in the back left. I usually don't see a long line here, so you should get your order pretty quickly. They also have a drive-thru for convenience. The baristas here aren't generally enthusiastic or cheery based on my experience, but they're nice and will get your order fulfilled in a timely manner. The teas are located on the wall, but the texts were a bit difficult to read from the front of the counter. The barista had to read each one to me. I wish they listed the teas on the menu or placed them closer to the checkout counter. Or maybe I just need to eat more carrots to improve my vision. I ordered the green tea, which had a blend of other ingredients so that it didn't taste like a traditional green tea. I would order it again. read more

This is my all time favorite Starbucks. I come here multiple times a week. They are SO fast, it's insane, and they're kind and helpful. It's time for an upgrade! I have stuck to the drive thru and I have been pleased with their speediness and excellent service. Even when the iPhone app led me astray, my barista didn't. She suggested a delicious yogurt parfait that kicked off my Friday morning just right! An oatmeal cookie (to be eaten at a later time) and I was a set! I ordered two large travelers the night before from this location. I walked in, and they had everything prepared & labeled in advance. The cups, lids, sugar packets, stirrers, and napkins were all sorted and packaged very nicely in bags. They promptly filled fresh cream into grande sized cups and put them in a carrier. They even helped me carry everything to my car. I couldn't have been more impressed with their customer service! Everyone shouted Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to people coming and going. 20 minute wait to find out this, the busiest Starbucks in the area cannot break a hundred dollar bill. They only carry 5's and 10's, so due to that I couldn't get $70 in change and my order. What a joke. read more

Firstly, I was the only person in the drive-thru and no one seem to be in the store so they were COMPLETELY NOT BUSY. Went to the drive thru today ordered the "cold brew with salted cream cold foam" per my usual everyday order. Received something completely different. Tasted like crappy water downed coffee. Called the store was told to come back and they can remake the order. Drove back a second time was greeted by this blonde girl with the worst resting bish face. I told her I order this everyday and it just doesn't taste right. She said she can remake it. I asked if she was sure she knew how to make it as I wound prefer a refund if she did not and can go to a different Starbucks location. In which she walked off and remade my drink the second time. Tasted the same as the first, AWFUL. Too lazy to call back or drive back again. I'll just chuck up the $6 dollar lost and will not be returning to this Starbucks location. read more

I had a 3pm meeting and stopped at this store at 235pm today on my way. No one actually greeted me. I stood by the register while an employee kinda gazed into the distance. I knew it might be a bad sign when there about five customers at the bar waiting for a drink and no one was really moving. I finally gave the person at the counter my order (I think she was waiting to take my order.). After 10 minutes I left without my drink, a Tall skim Gingerbread latte :-( Wow, I have never seen such lack of urgency, and really no apology, I told them I was gonna have to leave and they didn't even say 'I'm sorry'. I came in asking for a vanilla iced latte , took one sip and legit tasted like a cup of milk .asked to get another one which then the drive thru girl looked at me like I was crazy . Further , supposedly they made me a "new" one but yet used the same cup , same sticker ? I think they just added another shot and called it a day. I decided to call and speak to the manager . Mind you I had already called corporate on them once for rude service before Once I spoke to Mary it was downhill from there she sounds like she hates her job with her monotone voice and basically dismisses me . I've been a customer of this Starbucks for years. I haven't gone into the store very often, because most of the time I'm blasting thru the drivethru to pick up a cup of coffee for my morning commute. The people at the drivethru know me, and they know my order. Nothing makes you feel like a VIP more than being recognized like that. I really appreciate their customer service and their upbeat attitude. They also do some upselling which can be annoying if it's not done right. These people actually consider what might be handy for their drivethru customers, like their little packets of instant coffee, or let people know if something is on sale. They're really good at serving the needs of their drivethru customers. I've been in the store and used the wifi, which I'd never done before, and was led through the process by a girl behind the counter who came out and got me 'in' right away! Overall, I really love this place and because I don't take the train, I like it's location. It's in a little strip mall across the street from the Hanover Park train station, and seems to have plenty of parking space, although I am mostly a drive-thru customer. read more

What I specifically wanted to write here was how much I love the customer service at the drive-thru window. The woman over the loudspeaker sounds incredibly happy and excited to take your order, and the people at the window are also so nice and friendly. Every time I leave, I feel really good. Because of that, this place deserves 5 stars for drive-thru window customer service. (Otherwise, it's just a regular Starbucks.) read more

I've been to many Starbucks. This is by far one of the worst. I don't want to get into details but the manager himself Anand is extremely unprofessional. I don't know how Starbucks promoted him to manager. The times I've been here the stuff that comes out of his mouth about other customers is just outrageous. My most recent experience with him was terrible. Why? Because I caught him talking about me. When I confronted him about it he denied it. It is terrible as there are days I sit there and listen to him talk crap and make fun of customers when they leave. What kind of example does that set for his employees at the store? I was given the wrong size drink. On top of that I asked for Almond milk and it was never given. By the time I realized it it was too late I was already at home and didn't want to go back. read more

Baristas were rude and argumentative. I tried to order a specific but common drink however they were out of one of the ingredients. The barista told me that it shouldn't matter and it tastes the same without it. I politely disagreed and let it go but she kept insisting she was right. I told her it's not a big deal but everyone has different tastes. She kept insisting she was right so I finally agreed with her so she wouldn't spit in my coffee out of spite. I love Starbucks it is one of my favorite places in the world it's near my house so it doesn't take me long to get there although it depends on what day I go because there are days where I go and the service is great ,but other days it's just bad I ordered the pink drink with no ice more açaí than coconut milk and they got it wrong.
