The chocolate bear was VERY decadent. It honestly could have been dessert for 3 for it's richness. The service was mediocre. No smiles. Once you go inside, though, there's a good amount of seating available. The space is really cute and nicely decorated. One of the standout features is a fun swing-style table seat, along with booths and regular seating, which makes it a fun place to sit and enjoy dessert or coffee. Their menu has a great variety of options, including coffees, specialty drinks, and a wide range of desserts, so there's plenty to choose from if you're visiting with friends or family. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. For desserts, I tried the mango mousse dessert (the one shaped like a mango). It had a unique texture compared to a typical cake or pastry, but the mango flavor was really good. I also tried the chocolate teddy bear dessert. It was very rich and definitely for chocolate lovers. For me it was a bit heavy on the chocolate, but it wasn't bad at all. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would definitely go back to try some of the other desserts and drinks they offer.

After Cinco de Mayo…read more It was a rainy day here in Harrisburg, PA. I took a job in Lancaster, but first, I needed my coffee--I think I'm addicted to it now! The day before, I had a great cup from Passenger, but today I stopped by Little Amps in downtown Harrisburg before hitting the road. The atmosphere was excellent; it reminded me of home in LA with the records playing, dim lighting, and vintage decor everywhere. I felt a bit torn, like one coffee house wanted me to stay and the other wanted me to leave, so I decided to "break myself in half" and visit both. After all, two of me is better than one! I highly rate Little Amps for the scenery. The vintage look and the outdoor seating make you feel like you're in Manhattan or Paris, giving you the vibe of three places all in one. If you haven't been to any of these spots yet, save your money and just visit Little Amps to get that "all-in-one" experience. The staff is very inviting and they do offer bagels, though I have to be honest: they aren't quite as good as New York bagels. I know New York bagels inside and out, and they know me! I hope my review helps you decide where to get your next caffeine fix.

It's clear that little amp cares about its community, which beyond great coffee is the best to have. A space where people are safe, welcomed, and supported. The chai late was amazing, as well was my partners espresso tonic. But what we loved most was how open, welcoming, and loving the space and staff were.

When I'm drinking coffee at home, I mix it with a bit of chocolate soy milk. That's how I roll. The…read moreclosest thing, coffee shop wise, is probably a mocha. Long ago I quit asking about mochas because 95 percent of the time I was told the chocolate isn't vegan. The latte became king. During my holiday visit to Central Pennsylvania my super thoughtful aunt gave me a gift card to Elementary Coffee. I decided to pay an afternoon visit to their location at the Broad Street Market. When I arrived I began perusing their menu. Lo and behold, right there on that big menu board in the sky, it said mocha...made with local vegan chocolate. Yessiree, Elementary Coffee was about to put the mocha back in vegan Joel H. Along with the mocha, I ordered a bag of their specialty roasted holiday beans to take back to Tampa with me. The mocha was spectacular. I sipped it at the small bar Elementary has beside their stand. It was smooth and featured just the right amount of chocolate, coffee and vegan milk. Their roasted beans are great too. Every morning I mix them with some chocolate soy milk and relive the vegan mocha experience from the Broad Street Market. Oh, prices you say? Pretty competitive to other coffee shops I've visited. My twenty dollar gift card covered the bag of beans and mocha with vegan milk (though the barista did waive off a few cents to make it work). I can't wait to return next time I'm in Pennsylvania. One more cool thing about this location is that in the other Broad Street Market building you can see Elementary's roasting area. I totally gawked for a few minutes at the bags and bags of beans and the large machine responsible for roasting them.

I didn't realize how hard that is to find. My boyfriend loves their coffee and has purchased a few of their bags of coffee to make at home. I personally enjoy visiting the store on North over the stand at the market. But that's just my personal preference. When we first discovered this place we were going about 4-5 times a week (or more)! We've cut back some but still enjoy this place as a great treat! I gladly take all out of town guests to Elementary for our coffee and tea needs!

Coda Rouge, I commend you for a superb Valentine's Day dinner…read more I've experienced lunch at Coda Rouge a few times, but this special occasion, the five-course prix fixe aphrodisiac menu, was next-level dining. Why? The opportunity to experience the live painting artwork by Bryan "Prolifik" Hickman, artist and creator of the Tuskegee Airman mural on the side wall of Coda Rouge. The added ambiance of Singer's Lounge, Phebe West, singing lovely, familiar tunes. And last but not least, the intimacy of meeting Coda Rouge chef, Sachiko Tashiana, who trained under renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. And all hands on deck from the chef's family, who helped make the evening special. Finally, the presentation of each of the five courses and the food was superb. If you have never experienced Coda Rouge, you must add it to your short list of Harrisburg fine dining experiences.

The food was literally so yummy and we only got the classic breakfast. I cannot wait to come back for more yummy foods, and great conversation. This is the kind of restaurant you want to become a regular at! Thank you so much coda rouge.
