Lots of parking available and lots of seats available - some inside Starbucks itself, but the mall has lots of seats available around the fountain. I came here after work on Wednesday around 4 pm and there was no line. A plus for a long day at work. The baristas were quiet with my order and the drink tasted great!! I'm a huge coffee lover! I do enjoy Starbucks because their service is good, good quality coffee, & consistency is on point. My new drink of choice is venti iced blk coffee. With a new born, it's a must! The great thing about it is there's a refill for only 52 cents! I need 2 venti a day lol. The other reason I switched back to coffee from espresso is that coffee is actually stronger. It's also a good idea to phone in your order if u are in a rush, lines could get long at times. I honestly think is the best Starbucks on the whole island!! The workers are so nice and I must stop in at least once a week. The drinks are always consistent and the service is always friendly even when they are slammed busy!! They are super efficient and helpful! Today I got the new Pistachio Frap! When I arrived at this location, there was a short line of 5 people ahead of me that moved on in a very orderly and quick manner. Within a minute, my turn had come up. Since I planned to use my soon-to-expire rewards, I wrote down the recipes for drinks from the Secret Menu PRIOR to this visit. Both items were rather complex but, having copied the recipes saved time for the cashiers because they code the cups and charge/account for each ingredient. Yes, I could have just passed my smartphone over but, I figured it's less readable (font size and anti-glare screen) on my device. In the meantime, I noticed a line had formed behind me. I could almost "feel" a sense of impatience from the patrons behind as it took both cashiers to get involved. Oh oh, would I BE THE CUSTOMER who caused a log-jam? Would the customers behind give me a "stink-eye" for delaying their caffeine fix? Thankfully, NOT! Many customers waiting at window, a few irate due to missing orders, etc. one woman asked to speak to the manager and woman at the window closed the window. Line growing outside as well as drive thru. 9:50 approached window when associate opened the window again. Asked about my order and reply was, "you have to turn on your notification and you will get notified when it's ready. It's not ready yet." Really, one small cup of coffee not ready? 10:00 no notification yet and again approached the window as it was opened again. She looked at all the cups and found my cup and gave it to me. The cup had dried up spills and was sticky. The coffee was luke warm and I was able to finish it by the time I walked back to my car in the parking lot, not more than 30 steps. As far as the eye can see, there are many, many Starbucks locations on this island. I mean there are so many, especially in town, that you won't even need an app on your iPhone to look for one. And out of the plethora of starbucks locations, I have to say this is my 2nd favorite of all. The workers here are friendly, polite, socialize well with the customers, and always seem to be in a positive mood despite all the busyness at this location. Also, I like the fact that their pick up counter is at waist height for most, so people aren't struggling to reach their drink on a high counter, such is the case at the Ward Starbucks. This place never disappoints. I can always get in and out . Mobile order is my go to because the indoor line can sometimes be a little long. Well since Yelp had to remove my review after making a mistake merging the new drive thru business page with this one, I guess it's time for me to update my review of this Starbucks. This is one of the more crowded Starbucks locations. There seems to always be a line, and it's usually difficult to find a place to sit inside the cafe. Luckily, there is plenty of seating outside and by the fountain. The only junky thing is that kahala mall won't allow you to charge your electronic devices. So if you're low on battery, cross your fingers you'll get a spot inside Starbucks OR stalk the tables like a hawk. I like this location in particular because the baristas are nice and fast. They also seem to be better stocked than other Starbucks locations in terms of snacks and food options. If you're wanting something a little more substantial, there are a bunch of healthy options (whole foods, aloha salads, Grylt) nearby. Now that the drive thru location is open, hopefully this one will be less crowded. I'll continue coming here for late night study sessions. I especially like coming during the holidays for a Starbucks holiday beverage and to sit next to the poinsettia "tree". read more

I'm a regular at various Starbucks in San Diego, I usually meet all the weekly goals to get extra points therefore I go to Starbuck at least 5-6 days of week. I really could not believe Mia was sooooo rude, I NEVER had a rude experience at any Starbucks. When my order was ready she called my name and when I got up there she shoved the blueberry muffin towards me and I ask where is the Latte, she said "wait until I call your name again".. So I go back to sit down, within on minute she called my name and shoved the Latte towards me and walked away, no smile, just rude. I like this location because it's next to Whole Foods and it's right next to the fountain at Kahala Mall. The employees at this location are extremely hard working, there's always a line but it moves very quickly! There are 3 Pokémon stops that you can score goodies from while you're waiting in line. They also have a lot of merchandise to look at while you wait. They have an average amount of seating but there is also available seating by the fountain. I haven't been to this Starbucks in a while... it has changed... a little. You now order on the left and pick up on the right. When we went it wasn't too busy so we ordered and got our drink pretty fast. Starbucks is Starbucks... they either get your order right or they don't and it all depends on who makes it whether it tastes good or not... so basically it's a hit or miss. Why I'm leaving a review??? I had to because the guy who took our order... I believe his name is Patrick... took my boyfriends order and asked me if I wanted anything... I said no thank you. Kahala-Buck has become my regular morning hang out when I'm on a writing deadline and their holiday Pumpkin Spice Latte is my new addiction! Paired with a toasted blueberry bagel I am a happy laptop typing prego mama. It's astounding how much volume this little shop pumps out every morning as the line is always out the door at 8 am. I remember having to wait 15 minutes for my coffee because two girls had ordered custom drinks for their entire office of 20. Nice. People are definitely addicted to their Starbucks! The ladies and gentlemen that work here are very polite and very helpful. The service is fast and accurate. If you are in a rush, you can place a mobile order and be on your way. YUP. I did. I sent the order to the wrong starbucks. He said no worries, but suggested picking up the other order anyway so that it's not wasted. SO accommodating...SO wonderful. I got it hot because it was a little chilly out. Honestly, I didn't really enjoy the hazelnut flavor. It didn't have too much of that hazelnut taste. It might taste a little different if I got it iced. Maybe I'll get that next time. I ended up not finishing it. Overall, the service was quick and the baristas were friendly. Even during rush hour, the barista makes my drink fairly quickly and they often heat up my food order fast as well! I always get iced thai lattes w/ soy :D sometimes with a yummy scone, breakfast sandwich or my fav, the turkey pesto sandwich (as i stand in line, i usually cant resist something to eat!) The hours are good and there's a lot of seating, even in the mall area next to starbucks, so it's great for studying, reading or chatting with friends. Kahala Mall Starbucks has been my weekend hang out spot in Kahala Mall. The only beef I have with it is: ITS TOO CROWDED!! Every time I want to plug in and recharge my iPhone, I can't because everyone is using the wall plugs.
