The inside is big too and the staff were really nice and welcoming. They got my order perfectly and it tasted better than I've had it in other Starbucks back home! I frequent this Starbucks because I find it convenient to stop by when I take my dog to the groomer or run errands near the Shepard/Westheimer corridor. It has a small parking lot but is relatively easy to get in and out of. I've found the employees to be very friendly and considerate at this location. It can be busy at times and they do a good job of letting customers know they are valued. I've haven't spent much time inside (I usually do mobile orders ahead of time and haven't had any issues with pickup) but it appears to be clean and well taken care of. I enjoy their hot chai latte and the egg white breakfast wrap on occasion. They're nice little pick me ups when I want something familiar and don't want to think about where to go or I'm in a hurry. read more

I have visited this Starbucks location many times over the years, but I don't support Starbucks as much as I did in the past. Some locations have been so hit or miss, in my opinion. But this location tends to get it right regardless of what my order is. I really enjoyed my Strawberry Açai Lemonade Refresher last time I stopped here. I finally gave in and went to Starbucks because my daughter wanted their strawberry açaí lemonade drink. I had the iced caramel macchiato and it was pretty good. If I had never returned, I probably would have rated the place a 4. But, I did go back, and my drink was vile. I ordered the same item I had before. What I received was room temperature milk with a little coffee and two ice cubes. I took the drink and hoped it was better than it looked. It wasn't. I threw it in the trash and haven't been back since. Parking at this location is difficult because the layout is poor. This creates dangerous congestion on Woodhead. read more

I come to this Starbucks often, as I work down the street. Yesterday, my coffee was missing a large chunk of it which I hadn't even gotten to taste it. I went back this morning, because I didn't have time yesterday, & showed them the photos of my coffee. The cashier said "oh... yeah, that's when you ask for extra room." I informed her I did not ask for extra room, I don't know why anyone would on a $6 coffee. She was very friendly about it then said "$5.68" I asked her to grab either a manager or lead, because I'd either like a complementary size upgrade or complementary coffee. She said "sure" then grabbed someone to comp it, she said she didn't know how. She grabbed a Hispanic or middle eastern girl, with long hair & a bandanna. She either didn't have a name tag, or I couldn't see it. The girl comped the coffee with a smile, then turned away. THIS is where my review goes to one star. Almost immediately after she turned away I witnessed her start talking smack about me, as if I couldn't see her, to another employee by the drive thru. He could see me looking & quickly said "she's can hear you," so she then walked to where the pastries were. I went to high school & I'm fully aware of what passive shit talking looks. I asked for the GM's number, however I think this review will serve a better purpose instead. I frequent this location, considering I work 2mins away. I would rather drive to the Shepard location by Trader Joe's, than come back here. There's only maybe 3 employees that make it worthwhile. I come to this location DAILY with my wife and dog and the staff is usually amazing. Today Caroline the new manager was SO snarky; refusing to put sleeves on our piping hot coffees and holding our drinks hostage because we asked her to add the sleeves. She told other staff "do not engage with them" after we requested custody of our drinks. Horrible experience from a rude manager. The baristas were friendly enough but if I'm paying $6 for a drink it shouldn't already be melted/separating as it's being handed to me. I know it's a classically hot Houston summer but that's unacceptable. Customers shouldn't be allowed to add drinks at the drive thru window if it affects the other beverages in line. The staff here are consistently WAY too loud. Super annoying to try to do anything resembling work or studying at this location imho. I've worked many a service job, including Starbucks. There is nothing at all wrong with having conversations with coworkers as you work or wait for customers to come in, but you definitely have to be cognizant of the topics of conversation AND the noise levels coming from behind the counter - seems like every time I sit in this location, there is an abundance of loud cackling laughter, overly elevated voices even when discussing work concerns, employees on break in the seating areas having loud convos with their friends that have come in to visit, etc. It's a lot. Curiously, they don't yell your name all that loudly when your drink is FINALLY ready (they're slow at making drinks too. Can't imagine why...) I don't have a major issue with this location, I still go there fairly often as it is close to me, but it's not one that is comfortable to hang around for longer than 10-15min. This was a cool spot. I visited at 2 on a Tuesday for a business meeting. Parking was about full but I was able to find a spot. Service was good and quick there were not a lot of people. You are able to bring a pet which was cool. No I did not have one but others did. Today I went to this location to order several drinks for my coworkers and I. After putting in the order with the patient person behind the register I waited. When my name was called I go up to see my drinks aren't correct. The drinks were mixed up. I let the barista know and the person that took my order quickly came over to find out what was wrong and personally remade the drinks very quickly. This was a great example of how to handle a bad situation and have the customer leave happy. Great job. read more

All this because she was "late for work" your poor time management and incompetence is no one's problem but your own crazy lady. This Starbucks location sucks. I've been here twice and both times my drink was not good at all. The last time I've been here I ordered a green tea lemonade infusion with pineapple and it tasted like water. Today I went and got a green tea latte. I saw the girl making my drink and she poured milk to the rim of my venti cup. It tasted like milk only!! Bright, shiny and new! I love this location! I often frequented the location down the road, the Starbucks on Shepard, but I'll be taking my business to this spot from now on. Along with having all the bells and whistles of a state-of-the-art Starbucks (a nice large screen to double check you order if you're going through the drive-through), it's large--in terms of parking, indoor, and outdoor seating. It's drive-thru is also one of the easiest to get in and out of. This seems minor but not on a busy M-F morning when you're rushing to the office. Can't wait for my next latte at this Starbucks. read more

I'm so happy that Starbucks opened up a new location on the corner of Woodhead and Richmond Avenue. The baristas were very friendly and my coffee was just perfect! The decor inside is very attractive and being a new store, the shelves were fully stocked. They have about 8 to 10 tables outside on the patio and ample parking. I am not an unreasonable person and usually don't complain. But the barista working the bar's service was so terrible, I had to say something. I just went to this location and had the worst service I have ever experienced. The barista was not only extremely rude, he made my drink that I was trying for the first time wrong - twice. The first time the woman at the counter had rang it up incorrectly. Understandable, mistakes happen. Definitely just asked to have it remade correctly. But the second time this barista making drinks at the counter was incredibly rude, slammed the drink down on the counter and this barista still didn't add mocha the second time he made it. Not only that, but he made us wait until he made everyone else's drinks in line so we had to sit there for 20 minutes to remake my drink incorrectly. He definitely punished me for complaining about getting the incorrect drink the first time and still made it wrong the second time. Super passive-aggressive and just a bully. The poor person working the counter gave us a refund on my drink but all I wanted was for him to make it correctly. read more

It's really awesome having this new Starbucks in our neighborhood. I've gone in a few times to do work and have always been able to find a seat with an outlet (they have WiFi too!). It seems to stay busy with people who are in for work or meetings. The music was a little bit too loud for me, but I brought headphones and was fine. Im a big fan of their teas. They brew them hot and strong. Both the Earl Gray and the Jade Citrus Mint are two of my favorites. Service has always been quick inside, but I've seen long lines of cars waiting at the drive through. read more

This morning, before i left for work, i placed an online order. I walked in to this Starbucks and went to the pickup counter. At 650am, there was only one other person waiting on a drink. Even after the young lady gave the waiting customer his drink she turned the other way and did not acknowledge my presence. For about 5 minutes employees kept walking back and forth behind the counter, and would NOT even acknowledge me. I finally had to grab their attention to get my order, which was already ready. My stomach turns in knots as I think about how disregarded i felt. i just move to Houston two months ago - and i've consistently seen this kind of behavior in the Upper Kirby Neighborhood.
