The workers here are very sweet, and they always have a positive attitude going on for them. I usually get a salted caramel frap and they always make it the way my boy Jesus Christ intended it to be. It's a Starbucks. A busy one with a really compact and a horribly thought out parking lot. I definitely prefer Morning Brew across the street for the quality of the coffee but if your in a hurry this place usually fits the bill. read more

I have been a regular at this starbucks since they opened up, and don't plan on changing that. I have always enjoyed the staff, as ever-changing as that may be, and the thing I LOVELOVELOVE about Starbucks in general is the CONSISTENCY in the drinks. Can't find that at any mom and pop coffee shop. That's not to say I'm exclusive to Starbucks, I venture to Morning Brew, Kalapawai, and Muddy Waters when the times call for it. read more

Your typical local neighborhood Starbucks. It's a close knit community with lots of regulars, and the staff does well with remembering your name and order. That means it's spelled right most of the time. Great outdoor seating area that is always crowded, but I've never had a problem finding a table. One of my favorite Starbucks locations. Crew is the best of the best and so friendly! Starbucks is not my favorite coffee but I come each morning because of the happiness of the crew who greet me early each day before work - a great way to start the day! This morning one of the girls was so upset as a customer earlier - around 4a.m. had yelled at her calling her the c--- word. If I had been there I would have called 911 reported him and his car plate no. Not sure if you have cameras there but he should be banned from coming into the store! I stop here once or twice a week before work for my morning coffee. There is typically a line but it moves fast. The staff is super friendly, especially Katie who still remembered my name even after a month of not stopping in bc I was on vacation. That was impressive enough for me to leave a review. I came in to target today 11/25/16 and went to Starbucks to grab something quick to eat. Once I had ordered my card was denied and I couldn't pay, but the cashier, an older man I'm guessing around his late 40s, sorry if I'm wrong, paid for my blueberry muffin and my caramel and hazelnut steamer. I was so touched by his actions. I have never had anyone treat me so well. I'm sorry to say that I do not remember his name but he was the cashier around 8:20pm on Black Friday, and I just wish I could thank him more. Not gonna lie, I cried a little when I got to my car. Everytime I come here it seems like the employees don't like their jobs. You could at least smile when making coffee and speak up when you're announcing the drinks. I didn't catch the persons name but I went there today and the girl mumbled my drink out, when I asked her what it was she mumbled it while walking away. Is your job really that hard. Starbucks is pretty standard across the board, however, the Starbucks at Kailua town center is probably the worst, most depressing Starbucks I've ever been to. Not only does the staff seem to have an attitude - every single time I visit - but the coffee is always subpar. I don't understand how an iced coffee with almond milk can go wrong. The almond milk literally has floating bits and small chunks - pretty disgusting. Do they really use that little almond milk on a daily basis that is goes bad? I keep trying to give them another chance, but I think this is the last time all go to this Starbucks for coffee in Kailua. It's just not worth it. read more

Made to wait while four employees ignored us. Than I had to wait for one of the drinks that we ordered. After wait a few minutes I asked about our third drink and the girl Becky that was making them gave me an attitude and said I didn't have another and I said we did. At this time I double checked to make sure the one drink she gave me didn't have caffeine since it was for my daughter. She mumbled something under her breath and walked away. Starbucks Kailua, get it together.....purpose of mobile ordering is to get in and out when time can't be spared. From the 15 mins I waited inside the store for a order I made 10 mins prior, to having to go back to get the correct coffee cost over 30 mins, hence defeating to point of the mobile order in the first place. Manager(s) and district Rep, whom ever you are. Put some smiles on the faces and tweak the attitudes at this location. If you need suggestions spend some time at the Aina haina location, they are a model image of how things should be! read more

So I came in to get my apres dinner caffeine fix and had already thrown my purse in the truck and just grabbed my gold card. (yes, I am that much of a fiend.) So I order my drink, I'm not offered a receipt and then the guy tells me I'm .30 short. For real? Thirty cents? You see I don't have my wallet or anything else besides my little I-am-consumed-by-being-a-consumer-of-Starbucks card and it's not like you can put the money back on my card. I don't know, I've had my whole coffee comped for no particular reason at other locations not just where I'm a regular but a few times out in Cali too so to send me out to my truck for 30 cents just annoyed me. Aside from that I managed to walk to my truck, being 9 months pregnant and slower than gosh darn molasses, and get back and my drink wasn't made. I hate writing negative reviews but we had the worst experience at this location. First with their lack of service. 6 people behind the counter and 1 register open on a Saturday!! Then they have crap inventory on hand and after ordering our order, NO DRINKS, it took 15 min to receive our few pastries. We asked not to heat it up and they heated EVERYTHING UP! Then one of their baristas drops one of our pastries. Then 15 min in, they inform us that they don't actually have what they sold us on hand so we had to go stand back in line for the "1" register. The entire experience was riddled with incompetence and unprofessionalism! They were polite however being polite isn't enough! That really pissed my fiancé and I off which sucks because we were just trying to get a quick bite before a big business event. Instead we get there later than expected without getting to eat. It's about 1:00 PM, Thursday, 10/16. OUT OF BANANAS AGAIN? For some reason Starbucks often is out of bananas to make their smoothies. At 90% of all the SB I've frequented, they were out of bananas at one time or another. This branch has a very unfriendly, young male worker, he seems to be offended that I am there. When he hands me my smoothie, he never smile or even look at me. He does not say anything he just place it on the counter. In spite of the many coffee shops in the area Starbucks is the only one open at night. The staff is friendly, drinks are good and the area is clean. Unfortunately it is difficult to enjoy the great outdoor seating which is often a squatting site for street kids who play loud music, use profane language, and talk so loudly that it imposes on your space. They don't buy Starbucks drinks but the baristas willingly give them iced water -- and from watching their interactions this is a regular occurrence. Only my 2nd visit to this location, arrived around 9.30 pm Nov 12 Tuesday night with my neighbor island visitor, who uses a walking stick. On placing our order for a soy hot chocolate and a latte, we felt very strongly the barista did not want us there, and was bummed we were placing an order. we both used the bathroom, which was quite disgusting. My friend's drink was ready first, but the barista put it in a place where she could not easily reach it, with her difficulty walking and the employee mopping the floor right there. She had to ask them to reach the drink for her, as I was in the bathroom. We then sat at a table, my first time sitting at a table at any Starbucks. There was one other customer at another table, and another who kept walking in and out and appeared to be the friend of the barista. With all the loud mop bucket dragging and loud talking of the barista to his friend, plus constant interruptions being told they were closing in 20 mins, then 10 mins, we decided to leave. My hot chocolate did not taste as good as it usually does, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. Within a half hour, i started having stomach pains, bloating and gas, quite uncomfortable, so I cut short my chat with my visiting friend and went home. On waking the next day, I had a bad headache, which i rarely get, and extreme fatigue. When the headache had not cleared by evening, I realized it must have been a mild case of food poisoning - perhaps the soy milk had gone bad? Suffice to say, I will not return to Kailua Starbucks. read more
