Starbucks food and drinks are pretty standard across the board. The stars at this location are for the customer service. Staff not so friendly. The girl who took my order seemed distracted in taking to her coworker, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her with my orders. I ordered our first drink, then had to tell her I was going to order another drink, then she gave me my total when I was still needing to order two breakfast sandwiches. She did not at any point ask if there was anything else I wanted before totaling my order. It seems like that should be a mandatory question to ask since most other places do. It was just odd. The workers seemed stressed. There was one male worker who was nice and apologized twice for my wait time. Other than that, this store needs some customer service refresher training. read more

This locations is pretty busy in the mornings but the staff works really fast so I only waited about 7 minutes for my drink. Got a pumpkin spice latte so I can pretend like it's Fall outside. Tasted a little more burnt than I'm used to but all the whipped cream on top made up for that. read more

I usually enjoy going to any Starbucks ( and I've been to alot!)but this one is probably the most ill-equipped one I've ever been Too! 1st of all, they had NO WALL MENU or any type of menu anywhere! When I asked the cashier where their menu was, her response was they were promoting the blond drinks and that's all they had up. I asked her for a to go menu, and she just responded by "What do you want?" The one thing I like about Starbucks are the many choices for what mood I'm in and it shows how much calories. I'm not one to order the same drink all the time. It was around 3pm on the afternoon, and although it was refreshing that we were the only ones in there, I've never been to a Starbucks that slow! They also didn't have much merchandise. I ordered my drink and sat down, and my husband waited for the pick-up. When they called my drink up, he went to get it (keep in mind, we were the ONLY 2 people in the store) and the barista gave him a funny look, hesitant on giving it to him as of he was taking my drink! I was in plain view, and said it was okay .... AWKWARD! We are not in that part of Kailua often, and there are other SBs in the area, so we will not be going to thus one again. read more

Great location for those that live in Enchanted Lakes in Kailua. No bathroom code so just have to wait if someone is using the bathroom. The barista Tim is very friendly, lots of energy, knows his customers and drinks, great environment, great music. There's about 8-10 tables inside and about 4-5 tables outside in the shade so there's ample room to study, meet, enjoy food/drinks, or do work there. This Starbucks is tucked away off of Keolu Drive in Kailua's Enchanted Lakes subdivision. It's not easy to spot from the street heading Mauka but going Makai it's on your left at the stop light by McDonalds and the Shack. This is a small store so it fills up pretty quick during the peak hours of the morning, lunch and early evening. The service is friendly and quick. The food selection does run out of the favorites but there is always plenty to choose from. There is free WiFi, A/C and lots of parking. If you're looking for a quiet place in Kailua to just study, work or meet a friend then this is the Starbucks for you. read more

Nothing but nerdy, awkward love for the morning baristas here! They welcome me with a smile -- even when they're swamped. They remember my order -- even when I've been gone for weeks. And they hold my hand through the Starbucks website like the Amish-refugee-from-technology that I am. It's nice having these girls as part of my morning routine -- it's a happy way to start the day! So much better than before!!! Found out they got a new manager, thank God! It really shows, Customer service is sooooo much better! I guess they have some new staff too because I see new faces. Not the fastest, but I'm sure in no time they'll be. Food and drinks were good. No one's perfect, so I don't expect them to be. But compared to other sbux n businesses now days, THEY AT LEAST CARE ENOUGH TO ADMIT, APOLOGIZE, N CORRECT their mistakes. No questions asked really. .. but maybe it's because they're jus busy n dont wanna waste time. Bathroom was a little dirty, but I realized that homeless sometimes come thru. If the workers aren't busy, I've seen them try to clean it after they see a homeless come out. So I guess they jus try and keep up with it. Starbucks is one of those places that you simply go to get coffee. Whether you mobile order, order in-person, stay for a chat with friends, or simply order and go, it's never really a place you'd expect to find anything out of the ordinary in terms of the realm of coffee. Rewind to a few evenings ago when my friend and I were trying to find a place to study for her comp. check and decided to go to the Starbucks in Keolu. It was a relatively quite night with maybe less than a handful of others in the store and an even lesser amount of people walking in and out. It had to have been about fifteen minutes after we'd originally arrived when a man who had been shouting in the street near The Shack comes in to order a coffee. He seemed innocent enough but somehow after he had purchased and picked up his coffee, he had returned to ask the cashier for his money and started to be unruly. This is where the situation, if not handled well, could have turned into something that would've been on the news. However, the employee (possibly manager according to her demeanor) handling him was nothing short of perfection in the way that she advised the customer that there was no money to be had and that he had already gotten his coffee. At this point in time, there was only myself, my friend, one other customer, the employee, and the disgruntled customer, and you bet your bum that we were all trying to figure out what would happen next. Yet, the situation did not escalate, and while the man tried to get physical with the employee, she told him in plain words that he was not to lay a hand on her and that she'd call the cops if he did not leave the establishment. While it took about ten minutes for him to leave and for the employee to make sure he didn't return, I can't say that what she did was not professional and worthy of note, especially since it was a circumstance that wasn't anticipated. Overall, the coffee and customer service from this Starbucks was good, but what made visiting this establishment even more astounding was the professionalism of the employee that night in how she handled herself, the customer(s), and represented her company. Someone needs to give this woman a raise! read more

Stopped by here to grab a few drinks. I was explaining to the barista what had happened at our last visit to Starbucks at a different location. The manager overheard me and told me he was sorry how the other store had handled the matter and he offered to give us our drinks complimentary. Not only did he address the issue but when he made the drinks they tasted terrific! After I spend about 5 minute in front of the register by myself this guy finish his very important task, walk to the register and asks me "what can I get for you?" This Starbucks is (too, too) conveniently located near the Kailua My Gym. Therefore, I pop in for a weekly jolt. I used to be total Starbucks junkie, like, 7 years ago, and the Kahala location then was sublime. Incredibly busy, but I had never had a less than pleasant experience. Fast forward to the Enchanted Lakes location circa 2017: I've never had a bad experience per se, but the customer service is a bit lacking. Considering that excellent customer service is supposed to be Starbucks' bread and butter, I do expect more, or at the very least, a smile. The drinks are fine. The cheerless interactions? I come here to draw sometimes when I feel like getting out of "center Kailua". Very sweet baristas working there! They are fast, nice, and eager to make you happy as can be. I don't really care for most Starbuck's as I'm a barista myself and I'm fairly picky about coffee, but I really like this one. One of the times I went to this Starbucks, I bought a bagel with cream cheese and then the barista found out they were out of cream cheese (which I totally understand that kind of stuff happens) and I could see how bad she felt about it and she gave me a free drink card as an apology, which I though was totally not needed but VERY nice of her anyways :) Great service! read more

This location was small with lots of staff. Today I tried the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew which sad to say was terrible. I've drank Cold Brew before and enjoyed the flavor. This coffee however was nearly undrinkable but hey it was $4.66 so I just have to suck it up and drink it. Maybe I'll try it at another location and compare but I would definitely rather order ice coffee with milk and vanilla instead. read more

I was in this store for about five minutes and there were three workers no customers. They all stood around talking to each other and when me and my family walked in, we were not greeted or even acknowledged when I walked up to order. The lobby and bathrooms were a mess yet all three workers stood around talking. Unfortunately they have the dirtiest and smelliest restroom around! Today they left an open carton of creamer on the condiment area! Dirty and sloppy appearance. I live close so I come here when I'm in a rush and the customer service is always terrible. My order has been made wrong numerous times and when I ask them to redo it I'm always met with rudeness. And also they don't stir/blend the drinks well, my green tea lattes always have clumps of matcha. It's worth driving to a local cafe or another Starbucks if you have the time. read more

Okay, decided to give them a second chance to redeem themselves from my previous 2 star rating. WHAT A MISTAKE! I was the only person in line this time, so at least service overall was quick. Not good, just quick. However, W.....T.....F! They got downgraded to 1 star because they made my drink (Mocha Frappuccino with a extra shot) wrong. Anyway, same distracted "service", doesn't ask if I want whipped cream or my receipt, but those are just minor things. Still drives me nuts though. Get my drink, take a sip & notice right away that there is no extra shot. Tell the girl that the drink is wrong, as it doesn't have the extra shot. At least she apologized, but what happened next is wrong. She takes the drink that she originally made & dumps it into the blender, including whipped cream, adds the extra shot & blends it. Two problems here. First, this is not sanitary for future drinking to be made in that blender. Second, you just diluted the flavor of the extra shot by leaving in the whipped cream from my original drink. UH HELLO.......YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE THE DRINK OVER AGAIN FROM SCRATCH! I wanted to write an update to my previous review. Yesterdat I went back into this specific Starbucks around 9am. There was only one other person in line so I wasnimpressed with the rate the barista was getting the drinks out. At the time I was ordering an online order came through and the barista already had the drinks prepared by the time I had finished ordering. I was impressed. So why the one star? Although the line was non existant and the barista was like the Flash...I ordered a drink, they didn't have the product to make it. I ordered another drink, same story. No worries, I'll go with my old stand by...still did not have the product. So three common drinks and three times they were unable to make my drink due to lack of inventory of product. Simple products like ingredients to make a coffee frap. How do you not have the ingredients to make a coffee frap? I was frustrated at this point and left. read more

Decent Starbucks joint. The area is decorated and clean with a nice outdoor area which can get hot in the morning but is a nice place to watch the cars pass while enjoying your morning cup of Joe. The staff is courteous and friendly. The customers are quite interesting and unique. read more

It's actually average. I'm in SB 1-2 times a day, especially in town. This location is nearest to my house so I go there every weekend. The other location in Kailua town never has parking. Anyhow, the staff is less than average. I've been there on 2 recent occasions and some of the young baristas act immature shouting and joking with each other while you're trying to place an order. I'm the only one placing an order and it literally takes them more than 5 minutes just to make my ice tea because they're too busy entertaining each other and forget the customer....or forget how to act in front of customers. One guy was sitting on the counter next to the register leaving me to hand my money over the counter because his ass was in the way! When I ordered my normal ice tea, the barista insisted he make it another way for me to try. Even after I said no he was already having the other barista start on it.
