This is a busy location since it is so close to KSU, so I do usually wait longer than at an average Starbucks. But the coffee is still good, the staff is friendly, and they actually give me a full cup of coffee. My normal Starbucks has started giving me cups that aren't even close to being full. read more

I work at a business very close to this location & we spend A TON of money at this location. But today when I went there I was greeted with terrible service. I came at about 4 pm I believe. Both of the girls that were in the drive thru were not pleasant. One had bleach blonde hair the other had a squeaky high pitched voice. They both had an attitude when I asked for the green stoppers to go in my coffee. And they were pissed when I added another drink to my order even after I apologized profusely. I do not think I am going back to this location. I will go to Barrett b4 this Chastain location. Sorry. & to top it off - they never gave me recipes for either of my transactions. Lol not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from.. I'm new to the area and this Starbucks usually is pretty slammed but I mean who goes to Starbucks in a college town and expects it not to be? I'm usually in and out pretty quick so I don't mind the crowd. If you're wanting a quiet place to sit and do whatever people do at Starbucks then I probably wouldn't recommend this one. But every single time I come here they are always super super friendly and quite possibly the hardest working employees in the history of Starbucks land. That's why I never mind a little longer wait, they're close and I get they're busy. Honestly, with the volume they handle non-stop, I don't think it would be physically possible to move any faster than they do. I should mention, I usually just grab a coffee with a shot so it doesn't really take them much time. I'd imagine you'll end up waiting a bit longer if you get a super latte half caf grande deluxe or whatever. If you've got some extra time in the morning, I'd grab a coffee here, they roll through the rush of two Starbucks at an inhuman pace. Always wakes me up haha! read more

This is not your typical Starbucks location. I do not visit this location and I am going to give you my reasons. This location is on Chastain Road. To me, this is self-explanitory, but this means that this locations will be filled with Kennesaw State University college students and it will just be packed in general. Do not expect to find a seat in this tiny Starbucks location! It's just not going to happen here. I would not even advise you to try to find a parking space. This location is always packed. The one time I visited this location, I had to pull up a chair to the bar just to sit down. Best believe it was the last time I visited this location. The baristas at this location are not friendly either, so that is always fun. This Starbucks is just way too small for Chastain Road and it is not functioning correctly for an enjoyable experience. If you want to sit down and relax with your cup, don't go here. One reviewer mentioned that they give a discount to Kennesaw State University students. I regret to inform you that this is not true. These people have perfected Starbucks coffee! I get a difficult order for most Starbucks, a grande ristretto americano with steamed non fat milk, but they nail it every time. As far as their employees, Earl is always so charismatic, kind and funny. Best Starbucks hands down. read more

One time I was in the drive thru and asked for the birthday cake frap, skinny. The person thru the speaker was fine, but you could hear another woman chirp in the speaker and said to me "what? Customer service is pretty good. Coffee is inconsistent. I always get cappuccino with fat-free milk and it always tastes different. I just wish I actually knew what cappuccino tastes like - that's how different they make it. One time it's bitter, one time it's creamy, one time it's foamy, one time it's full of liquid. This afternoon my coffee was absolutely awful. It was so bitter and the cup was filled less than half way. Last week I got a cappuccino (I believe Namaste Joseph helped me) and it was the best EVER! Stellar service! I ordered three drinks and they were all made perfectly and very quickly, and the barista was very friendly! As I was walking out the door precariously holding my drinks, I accidentally spilled one of them - awkward and embarrassing to say the least! One of the baristas was immediately there to help me clean it up. I apologized profusely and was fully prepared to take my other two drinks and hightail it out of there before I made any more mess, but the barista was so nice and insisted on making me a replacement! They even upgraded me from a tall to a grande! Everyone there was so genuinely kind and helpful, which I really appreciate and don't really see too often in my hometown of Seattle. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Kennesaw! read more

This location doesn't work well with the app. I've had menu items left off, watched a guy handle my biscuit with no gloves and then put it in a bag, even had my app order ignored and had to order inside once I arrived. If you're in the Kennesaw area, just go to the one on Barrett. This one is horrible with service. read more

I just had a pretty bad experience at this Starbucks coffee shop. When my barista handed me my drink, a decaf Americano, she spilled it out and then dripped the part of the drink that was on her hand back into the drink. When I saw that happen, I planned to take the drink, throw it away, and just go without a cup of decaf for the night because I was pretty sure I was going to get an attitude at some point if I asked her to remake it, and it turns out I eventually did. I did throw away the first drink and sit at a table with three other close friends for a few minutes. Then, I decided I would risk asking her to remake the drink for spilling part of the drink that was on her hand back into the drink. So, I went back to the counter and asked her to remake the drink. I even told her that I understand some other customers would not mind part of the drink that was on her hand being in the beverage, but I just had an experience that included one of my roommates almost dying in the hospital from meningitis, and I was not in the mood to drink liquid off of someone's hands that were working in a coffee shop all day given my roommate just about lost her life to an infectious disease, and that experience was still fresh in my mind. Also, I have worked in coffee shops before and during that time I touched many hands throughout the day even if I was making drinks for part of my shift. So, I let her know that one of my roommates and friends almost died from an infectious disease, and it was still bothering me. I simply was not going to risk drinking a drink that the health department would not approve of anyway. So, she remade my drink, not being really polite, but not really saying anything negative yet. But, they did exchange a couple of obviously negative facial expressions. After they closed after twenty minutes my friends and I sat outside as they began to get ready to leave and lock the doors. As the woman who made my drink left the restaurant, the guy who witnessed her remaking my drink yelled out quite loudly enough for my table to hear with amplification, "I hope you feel better" and the girl who made my drinks at 11:10PM on 1/06/12 loudly snickered and giggled. I doubt she had anything wrong with her given the fact she was sarcastically laughing and he said it so loudly. I think the comment was made toward me as a very rude remark toward someone who asked them to remake a drink when there were almost nearly no customers left, and they were standing around. I think I never want to go to a restaurant again where the employees poke fun at customers for nearly having close friends die from infectious diseases and just want a clean beverage. Good-Bye Starbucks, and I look forward to leaving the aggravation behind. P.S. A couple minutes after they closed, they loudly were talking about--"The customers are still here. I hate that when that happens. I wonder when we get to leave." Thanks for the totally smooth hint to leave, but it's too bad the weird experience continued after we sat outside! read more

Just got my COLD cheese Danish and a drink here and got all my money wipe out by a barista in my reward card when I gave her two cards and specifically told her, "wipe one penny for my reward and use my debit for the rest" then she came back hold up my reward card and said "do you want me to throw it away" WTH! I was so upset and when I check my reward app guess what?! NO REWARD FOR COUNTED OF OFF MY DRINK AND MY DANISH. This is my second time here and I'm not coming back this girl doesn't care. This girl was giggling unprofessionally even when she was taking my order about something else unrelated to what I'm saying, sure she can have a fun time working but until she charged my reward until it went emptied and did not give me a nicely 5 mins toasted cheese Danish I was sure she work half heartedly. U waited a while out at the checking window as well and it not like they were super busy there were no one behind me and she the way she work is like she is rushing to get me out of there! Horrible! Great cofee and friendly staff!

I am so beyond disappointed with my visit to Starbucks tonight. When I approached the window and ordered the employee asked me three times to repeat my order when it was a venti iced coffee. she didn't tell me my total, but that's typical for Starbucks so I didn't pay much mind to it. The employee at the window did not greet me or even say hello, she simply scanned my app and closed the window. After seven minutes of waiting on one drink she handed me a grande when I knew I ordered a venti, when I corrected her she said that I told her a grande and she took the drink out of my hand and walked away. I checked my app to see how much had been removed from my card balance to see if it was truly my mistake and but $5.98 had been taken off of it. While waiting an unusual amount of time for the second drink, the employee was talking rudely about the customers who had pulled up behind me and she was Using extremely foul language to describe how Poorly she could hear them to her coworker. When she returned with the venti drink she said nothing to me so I pulled off with the drink. As I got down the road and took a sip I realized the drink was entirely wrong. I am not one to complain, in fact I have never left a review online like this, however the employee was very rude to me and rude in talking about other customers. All around it was a bad experience and absolutely will not be returning to this location. This is one of the many times I have left this location with a wrong drink or after having a bad experience with a barista. I am a very loyal Starbucks customer and prefer it over many alternatives however this encounter truly disappointed me. Just wasted $10 at thus location. In a rush ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with our coffee. Never again. Got to work 2 miles away went to bit into the sandwich. Ice cold. I've been to this location twice within the last month. The first time I went, I ordered a tall white chocolate mocha, and it tasted awful. It was so watered down. I didn't complain because I don't like to make a scene and would rather show their true colors on Yelp. I went again this morning because I had a gift card, and I ordered an Tall ICED coffee with caramel. I received a tall HOT coffee with caramel. Again, I didn't complain because I didn't want to embarrass the barista. I don't particularly enjoy Starbucks anyway, but even if I have a gift card to use again, I will never visit this location again. read more

Worst ever. Ordered a bottled water and "Jay" left me sitting there at the window while he took FOUR more (complicated) orders. A bottle of WATER!! He FINALLY gets my water and says, "oh yeah sorry thought you were the coffee." Seriously? Like it doesn't SAY "ethos water " on my ticket and it's the NEXT ticket. Hello, my fellow yelp friends. My name is Jenn. I am or WAS a regular at this establishment. I often came here to do my Bible studies (coffee and the word, am I right, ladies?) and to pray over the poor misguided workers there (you know, one of them has an unnatural hair color. And several have TATTOOS!!) But this last visit was absolutely atrocious, in the worst way possible. I will tell you why in the following paragraphs. As I entered this unholy establishment, I could immediately tell that something horrible was going to happen. I gripped the crucifix that I always keep in my coat pocket and told the devil to be gone from this place, and can you believe that the people sitting near the entrance LAUGHED at me!!! Satan truly had his grip on this modern day Sodom of coffee and pastries. Well, despite how hurt and rattled I was by that experience, I somehow carried on to the counter so I could get my Jesus fuel and get out of there. So I waited in line, sweating the whole time, and finally got to the cash register, where an absolutely unbelievable sight awaited me. A young man, of Oriental descent with BLUE HAIR and a massive tattoo of the cross. Let me repeat that again, A MASSIVE TATTOO OF THE CROSS. Well, I have never seen such blasphemy in all of my days, and it wounded me deeply to see the symbol of everything that is GOOD AND RIGHT in the world and making it "hip" and "evil." But that was just the tip of the ice-burg, so to speak. You should have seen the way he smiled at me. Then he had the nerve to ask ME how he could help me. The look in his eyes, it was like he was the Devil all dressed up in lingerie. Then he very sensually typed in my order to the machine, and you know what else? He thanked me, like I was the first women he had ever seen. The "Thank you" rolled out of his dirty teenage lips like he'd been saving it (but not until marriage like he should have been). Well, I can tell you that I high-tailed it out of there as fast as I could. I barely even waited for my Caramel Ribbon Crunch to hit the counter before I grabbed in and ran right out the door. Unfortunately, I forgot a straw, so I had to very sneakily get back in to get one before the Devil knew I was back near his clutches. All in all, the coffee was good but it tasted like brimstone and I had to bath in holy water after I got home then anoint myself with oil to wash all of the desired adultery off. read more
