The cashier was really sweet and let me know that they had vegan alternatives available which I absolutely loved. They also don't upcharge either which was a bonus. I ended up ordering an iced ceremonial matcha latte and everything bagel with vegan cream cheese. The presentation for both my drink and the bagel were 10/10 perfect. The everything bagel was a bit salty and the matcha latte was pretty diluted/didn't have much flavor. I did think their portions were pretty large for the price which was great. If you're looking for a trendy place that brings immaculate vibes, come here! -1 star because the matcha wasn't perfect and the bagel was overly salty. Also, the wifi was not working properly so I had to use my hotspot to work.

In the most recent incident, I ordered a chicken burrito at the food truck with no cheese because of a dairy allergy. The request was very clear and they even repeated it back. Imagine my surprise when I got home to find a burrito full of cheese. When we returned to explain and get the order remade, there was no apology or sympathy - in fact, we were made to feel like the inconvenience! They literally opened up each burrito to check for cheese as if we were lying. It was made clear that this was an allergy, and in no world would I drive all the way back to get an order corrected if there wasn't actually an issue. Luckily I was ok in this instance, but it's this kind of negligence that can send people to the hospital. Will not order anything here again.

My orders are ready quickly no matter when I place them using the mobile app. The inside of the store has numerous seating spaces. There are some tables outside one can also congregate with fellow gym goers and Pilates devotee. My problem with this store location is the actual drink quality itself. My drinks are either so overfilled to the point that once I stick the straw in, it turns into a fountain. One of the times that happened, the employees completely ignored me and kept talking about which line they really should be filling in the drinks to. No offers of napkins or anything to help clean up. Other times this happened, I ended up with a lid that busted open while en route to my car because the liquid got under the lid and the cup itself. That was a different kind of unnecessary mess. And it was entirely avoidable if the drink itself wasn't overfilled. The cups actually has a max fill line etched into it believe it or not. So if you fill in more or less past certain lines on the cups of anything, such as ice, milk, etc, the drinks won't taste right and/or it will create a mess. But the worst part? An unhappy customer with a coffee stained white linen pants and shirt. And that was me a few days ago. Anyway, the other half a dozen times I have ordered, the opposite happened as you can see in the picture. The drinks are nowhere near filled to the top fill line and the syrup never mixed all the way. So this causes the first 3-4 sips with intense flavors of the syrup and the rest of the drink as bland unflavored milk. So, as much as I appreciate the speed of order fulfillment and spacious interior seating inside and outside, I prefer to get my drinks elsewhere. And yes, that includes the god forsaken Starbucks down the street that's not any better drinks or service wise.

My recent pick was an iced black tea lemonade and did not have an overly pronounced sugary flavor. I like drinking a beverage which doesn't make me feel like pumps of sugar have been added to it. I think Peet's does tea and coffee very well. A friend of mine who is a connoisseur of all things good was with me. She ordered and enjoyed her holiday spice latte. The fascinating story of Mr. Alfred Peet, the creator of Peet's Coffee who also provided training and roasted beans to three entrepreneurs for their new venture, Starbucks, in 1971, is on the Peet's website.

This location has a drive-thru that one can use to pick up online orders. However, my tourist friend had ordered a drink and wanted me to walk inside to get water for them (and didn't want to do it personally because she wasn't familiar with the parking lot). It was also because they did not offer water on the app. Seeing as her drink was not done yet I tried to nonverbally indicate to a staff member that I needed attention but they seemed too busy, so I decided to wait at the pickup area for the drink. In doing so, a random customer tried to strike up vigorous conversation with me about my belongings, which startled me and made me even more mute than I wanted to be before I came inside. He effectively put words in my mouth by asking me if I understood English, but I couldn't do anything other than mutter quietly since this was not an interaction I was prepared for. After a short time the cashier finally asked me if I was waiting for something so I flashed the order on the phone to nonverbally dictate that I was waiting for an order. I finally calmed down enough to be able to verbally ask for water, and they said it was $0.25, so I didn't want that, so I decided to ask for an empty cup instead to go to the Grocery Outlet in the plaza to buy water, and they said "the cup itself is $0.25". I declined, seeing as that I knew how to origami a cup out of a piece of paper already. After this I went back to waiting, and during this, the customer that tried to strike up conversation with me said to his companion "he's faking it". The drink was prepared shortly afterwards, so I collected it and left to get away from him and not have to engage in further verbal interaction with anyone. As a result of this experience I have decided to avoid physically entering this branch and I will only use the drive thru when possible, as I do not want to encounter randos that force interaction on me or have to ask for something that is not available on the app and is not on the menu as a dictated upgrade. I would not recommend this location--or anywhere in Lake Forest for that matter-- for anyone introverted or with mutism from social anxiety, since randos talking to me for no good reason occurs too frequently in this area. I never get interacted with randomly in the Coffee Bean branch in Irvine and I would prefer an identical experience here.

Their toast is loaded, beautifully presented, and actually looks worth the money. I don't know what kind of chocolate Huntington Beach uses, but it tastes much better too. Huntington Beach clearly puts more effort into its toast. Lake Forest needs to improve because customers shouldn't receive a completely different product depending on which location they visit.
