This is not my first visit at this location. After reading the recent reviews, I was a bit concerned about the service. However, I Just went through the drive through and the young lady at the window couldn't have been sweeter. She asked us to taste our coffee before pulling away to make sure it was hot enough - it wasn't. So, we were told to pull around while they brewed a fresh pot. The young man who brought it out to us was extremely polite and wished us a good evening. Great customer service! read more

As a former Starbucks partner the customer service at this location is disgusting. Do not come here, go to the Oso drive thru down the street. Zack was super helpful on the phone to correct the issue. If you see a barista with striped hair when you walk in..walk out. Not worth the hassle, an ugly attitude gets you no where. The employees are very nice and I think they do try to work hard and are pleasant but Starbucks needs to up the number of staff in the morning or be more realistic for wait times. I put in a mobile order and it said 6-9 minutes. Obviously, I'm nowhere near the shop when I placed this order. When I show up, it was obviously there's no way it could've been fulfilled in 6-9 minutes. Just the crowd waiting for their orders alone inside was like 10-15 people deep. The drive through line stretched two lanes in the parking lot over, which made it like 10-12 cars at least. My order wasn't done for 17 minutes. Had I known, I wouldn't have placed the order as I actually had somewhere to be. I would've done one of the other locations on my way. I've been here a few times and every single time I walk up to the counter to order and im just standing there for a few minuets, nobody to greet me or at least tell me they'll be with me in a minuet, no eye contact I just get ignored. It takes a while for my drink and the first time I went there I ordered a double shot on ice, my usual drink, and the girl literally put two shots on ice. The inside is absolutely fifthly dirty. Food and liquids on tables,chairs and floors. Absolutely no team work and people not helping customers. I've been going through the drive through at this location and the staff is amazing. Mobile order doesn't work sometimes but I like to order snacks so I have to order it at the window. The baristas always need to check the back for the things I want and I really appreciate them for dealing with my needs. Was in a hurry and ordered my drink and one they were out of cold brow at noon so I couldn't get my normal drink and second I waiting 15 mins for my drink finally got annoyed walked up to register and they said my ticket didn't print but didn't wonder why I'd been standing there or ask or tell me ANYTHING waiting another 10 mins to get the drinks and they tasted like poop. I go to this Starbucks often to study. I've never had any problems until yesterday. I was studying at a long high table and a group of children and a couple moms came in and told one of the baristas they had reserved the long table I was sitting at. I overheard the barista check on the "reservation" and they had no record of it. The mom complained and said she called on Monday to reserve the table from 5-8. First off, I didn't even know you could reserve tables at Starbucks. I thought that was a little odd, and there was no sign on the table indicating that it was reserved. If there was a sign, I would not have sat there initially. After the mom complained a little more, the manager (I'm assuming) came over to the table I was sitting at and plopped a reservation sign on the table and said "this table is reserved until 8". He didn't apologize or even acknowledge that I had been studying at the table for the past 2 hours and had to gather all of my things and move. Starbucks was really crowded at this point and there was no where else for me to sit, so I ended up leaving. I was very disappointed with how the staff handled this situation. I was basically forced to leave with my pumpkin spice latte in hand. A sincere apology for the inconvenience would have been nice, but this was not the case. read more

One of the busiest locations I've come across. Have to rave about their service and the sparkling peach green tea lemonade!! Loved it!! Each time I've been here whether drive thru or dining in, they're friendly and fast! Really spacious and there are lots of seating and study/desk space. This peach tea though is definitely my new favorite!! My son's cream base s'mores Frappuccino has been his summer favorite. Along with their accomodating an extra venti iced water, the staff are awesome here. Thank you!! read more

It's like they don't even acknowledge the order until I'm standing there asking about it I continue to add time before I leave to pick up, but nothing changes. There's been a lot hype. Ladera is finally getting a real Starbucks! A big one. A place where you can hang out. Mingle with neighbors. Walk the dog to on Sunday mornings. A teenager meeting spot. This place is nothing like that. You drive through. You place your order then leave. There's only like five tables. No outdoor seating. No dogs allowed. Not even a place out side for a dog bowl. On no trash cans outside. It's weird. Just a place to buy coffee and leave. It's not the "Starbucks experience" I was hoping for in Ladera Ranch. Pretty good Starbucks location. I have ordered once through the drive-thru and even though it was busy the line went through quickly. I stepped in today to order and the inside was quite large and clean! I am very specific with my order and one of the main parts of it is "easy cold brew." I guess the cashier was not sure what I meant because he asked if that meant I wanted extra water and I said sure because I thought maybe that is how all the other Starbucks' have done it. My drink was really watered down when I got it. I should have probably been more specific with what I wanted I guess. Staff is friendly. read more

I waited to write a review based on several visits to be fair. I've been here twice in the afternoon and twice in the mornings. The afternoon service is chill. Less hustling and less smiley employees. But the drinks have been fine, so no complaints here. The mornings are where it's at. At least 8 employees going HAM on our orders. It's busy, but they can keep up. I've waited maybe 15 minutes inside at the most. I don't dare use the drive thru. The line seems too long. Plus, I like to watch and taste my drink before leaving. What impressed me most was on this recent morning I went, I saw two consultants observing the employees, taking notes, and evaluating the overall flow. I presume they must've gotten feedback about long waits, efficiency, etc. And there was a previous review stating there should be comfy seating. I think they listened because I saw they've created a seating area with 3 chairs and a small coffee table. Plenty of seating, decently made drinks, overall good service. Yay, I'm a fan! read more

I just need to say that all these bad reviews have to be taken back. I feel bad for these specific starbucks workers for having to put up with the crazy e-bikes in Ladera. Imma just admit I am one of them but some are kinda just out of control. overall with the customer service, I think it is great. I love Kat who works here and some of the people are really nice. I unfortunately had a bad experience with a tall blond girl who messed up my order but acted like it was my fault. I've worked at Starbucks for almost 4 years so I know how to order my drinks and to always give good customer service no matter the occasion when I am at work. Also, next time I order a caramel macchiato, If I suddenly want extra caramel (not even necessarily around the cup like usual just on top in addition) and even OFFER to pay for it, don't tell me it's "too late." Is there a way to order a reserve coffee where they'll make it right away? I usually have to order and then after all the other drinks in my order are made I need to flag someone down to make a clover drink. I feel guilty going through the drive thru to order it but it seems like the only way to get service for the most expensive drink you can get at this location. Another part that's annoying is that when I stand there and try to flag someone down at the pickup counter I am usually ignored. I try to wait until someone looks at me so they won't forget what they are working on, and do the casual hand waving to get attention, but everyone clearly tries to ignore my eyes. I can easily stand there for 4 or 5 more drink orders before I snap and just start hollering for people. "Hey! Hey! Excuse me? Hello? Hi. I have my other drinks but I'm waiting for the clover...." Without fail, we will look at the cup next to the machine, and the machine will still be dirty and not started. Today I decided to try something refreshing , while passing Starbucks I saw their advertisement of the cold Mango Passion fruit cold drink . I walked in in hopes to have something good , all people behind the counter were full into their own discussions . It was 2 people in front of me , the guy who was buying something was listening to a clerk who was ringing him up , she was telling him that looked like her life story because she made a mistake ringing him up and end of the conversation was that I could catch was : yes 2 baby's . When I asked her about that drink she said they don't have it , they are out of ingredients . Why do they tease thirsty people ? I asked her about what tea do they have she appeared to act like she was an arrowhead but she was a brunet , she had no clue about tea. I frequently visit this location because of its location. Anyway, the drive-thru service was unusually slow today, 10/14/2023, 6:50 to 7:00 am. I thought they may be short of staff which is unfortunate but sometimes beyond control. I was asked to hold for about 5 minutes before my order was taken. Thereafter, I became suspicious because my order was hurriedly 'read back' and no screen display was available for me to validate my orders. After another 15 min of wait, I knew I was right, the employee didn't get my orders right. I had to correct her. Worse, even with the correction, she was still getting my order erroneously. Instead of attentively listening to me, she cut me off midway to say a wrong order. Her brain must have been wired to an order that she was conditioned to hear - a typical behavior of a robotic-minded employee! Starbucks must focus on developing effective listening skills amongst its employees. As a consequence of her incompetence, she ended up dumping the wrong order and further lengthened the waiting line. read more

I went this morning to this location and OMG my coffee was amazing just like the service. It must come from the top with the management on site. The hole team was so happy to say hi when we walked in at peck time in the morning what a rush in the parking lot . Thank you Starbucks team !! For making my drink perfect, when I'm on the road to my office for a two hour drive a great taste of coffee is so important to me. I've been coming to the Starbucks once a week every Monday this Monday I came and I got my usual which is cinnamon dolce latte hot and it comes with whip cream and cinnamon dolce on top and yet the employee argued with me and told me it does not come with it. I've been getting this drink for at least five years now or more and every time I've been told it comes with whip cream. It's not that I care that he didn't put the whip cream on top of my drink it's the fact that he was arguing with me about it I worked myself in customer service and I know not to argue with my customers. I go to this Starbucks a couple times a week at least and even though they always have a huge drive thru line, it always seems to go quickly and flawlessly! Since I started going to this location Leslie Crabtree literally has my order memorized! She really took the time to not just take my order but to help me pick something to get me through the morning even though they are busy she always takes the time to make my visit personal each and every time. I never feel like I'm just another cup. I hate leaving negative reviews but i just waited in the drive thru line for 40 minutes only to order a venti brown sugar shaken espresso and to be given a cup full of ice with a little coffee that was 3 inches from the top. When i said something to the guy at the window his excuse was "ya that drink is usually smaller so it's less in a venti cup". Yaaaa That's actually not true. Do better. I'm not paying $5.25 so you can half ass my drink and just add more oat milk to "fill it up". read more

This is the longest Starbucks drive-thru I have ever been to! Had my toddler in the backseat and it literally took almost 20 minutes to get thru and there wasn't even a long line... I was only 1 car behind the speaker where you order. Typically you go through a drive-thru to go faster but they don't get that here... not sure what's happening with this location but this is the worst drive Starbucks drive thru ever. And to make it even worse they got my drink wrong! I asked for 1 pump less of syrup in the matcha frapp and it tasted sweeter than the original with 2 pumps. Management needs to do some work here badly, I'm so disappointed and will not be coming back to this Starbucks! read more

This review is for the drive through. I've waited a few months to write a review because this is a new location and I wanted to give it time to settle into a comfortable routine. Pros- The drive though seems move fast! This is where the two stars come from. Cons- They have such rude customer service in the drive through. No one greets you when you pull up to the window. EVER. You awkwardly stare into the window sometimes 2 minutes before you're even acknowledged. No "hi I'll be right with you" not even a "good morning." It's like they try to interact with you as little as possible. it's the only location I've been to where this is the norm. I hate it. It makes me not want to come here and I will NEVER tip for poor customer service. Like many drive throughs, it's hit or miss wether you'll get the correct order. Check before you drive off.
