First time here, and I simply want to give credit where it's due: Both staffers working here were very friendly and positive in serving me up my complimentary birthday beverage of choice. They gave me honest feedback as to what added ingredients might enhance or detract from the frappuccino. The male barista did a fine job in assembling all of the main beverage along with my chosen extras. The drink looked and tasted great, with the added birthday wish written on the side. Details matter in my book, so that written message along with a few mentions of "Happy Birthday!" by both baristas helped make the overall experience a very positive one. Usually, I don't bother reviewing Starbucks. The stores are all the same, and the quality is consistent (good drinks, expensive sandwiches, and bad pastries). The things that stand out here though: Patio seating: The large patio is really nice. Maybe 10 small and medium tables under a nice pergola. Not many people out here on a sunday afternoon, but tables were all bussed and wiped. Very pleasant in the dappled sun, and light jazz playing. Good for hanging out or work, with a strong wifi connection. The inside was on the small side. Not many tables, which were blocked off anyways due to this week's surge. The bathroom was clean. A special shout out to the crew for making me a perfect mocha cookie crumble frappacino. I know I said all starbucks are consistent. I give this guy extra credit for adding the perfect amount of whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles so that it didn't get smashed when he put the lid on. Skills! My go to Starbucks when I'm nearby. Mobile order, and then walk in to pick up my drinks. The fam has taken a liking to Starbucks, so I'd usually just get 1 drink for myself, or 4 drinks for the fam and me. The mobile ordering and pick-up is usually a flawless process, but there have been some times where I'd wait a significant number of minutes after the estimated ready to pick up time. I love to get a venti caramel machiatto with extra shots, and it tastes so good each time. Their iced shaken espresso drinks are great too and my customizations marked on the app has been correct almost all the time. There was one instance where I requested whipped cream in my Americano, but it wasn't in there when I was picking up my drink, but the barista was so nice and put some in right there and then. Good stuff. My kids enjoy their hot chocolates and some of their refresher drinks, notably the strawberry acai lemonade and the mango dragonfruit lemonade. Their fraps are so good when it's hot outside, though I prefer a variation of an iced latte. Not toward this location, but the app in general - there's been a Starbucks barista oatley oat milk shortage on the news, but the app does not tell you the location is out of oat milk until you try to check out. The app would let you know if the drink in general before customizations is sold out before you can add the drink to your cart, but it doesn't do that for the milk option. All the milk is presumably available as the app allows you to pick it and add that drink with that milk to cart. It isn't until you're checking out that you see the milk is unavailable. Anyways, I digress... I've grew a fond liking of Starbucks' oat milk lattes, both hot and iced, since they're so creamy and delicious and was disappointed it was unavailable today. read more

Very nice staff but very slow. Staff are all engaged in conversation causing them to pause while can drink some processing orders. These momentary pauses add up to a long line of customers waiting. At some points baristas stop everything to make eye contact and chit chat. read more

Literally sitting in their parking lot right now writing this review. All the staff there is so wonderful, they remember you as you come in for your mobile orders, greet you and send you on your way. However, I always have a weird/rude interaction with Simone. She NEVER says good morning or even acknowledges that you're there it's just "what name are you picking up for?" And when you ask for a straw... literally brace yourself for the one that's going to be launched at you. BUT with that said- the other staff, all of them, are awesome. This is a friendly neighborhood Starbucks in Lafayette with great shaded outdoor seating. Parking can be a bit tricking. If you're an early bird like me looking for a place to work in the morning this place is perfect because it opens at 3:30am M-F. It also closes at 6pm. Yelp has it wrong, just FYI. The selection of sandwiches,fresh fruit, chips, yogurt, and pastries was quite extensive. I ordered a turkey and pesto panini and a large latte. Starbucks coffee always tastes burnt to me. Not a medium roast , but a dark roast. The sandwich was delicious. I think you can always depend on is the free Wi-Fi. This Starbucks has a patio seating area that is extremely clean and comfortable. I'm on a Starbucks review revolution...so I'm starting all of my reviews with this standard statement. If you're stalking me (totally kidding...sort of) and reading these in order, skip to the next paragraph. Let me qualify my review by saying, I'm one of those Starbucks once daily (sometimes twice daily if I'm evil from being overly tired) people. I frequent many a Starbucks and completely disagree that all Starbucks are created equal. I'll agree that the coffee is generally consistent, but the attention to detail (like 190 degrees), the cleanliness of the store, whether they can keep drip coffee made, how fast they can make drinks, ability to not lose drinks etc is all over the board. Came in here the other day in desperate need for caffeine. Coffee was the right temperature and tasted like it always does; I should also mention the service was friendly and the store is relatively clean. The cons are as other people have noted in their reviews. The tables are on top of eachother and there is limited standing room so the cramped nature of this BUX is amplified by kids running amok with their mini moos. Also the parking lot is a dee-saster! Trying to maneuver my way out required a 6-point turn, swerving around 2 waiting cars and trying to remember that there is only one way in and one way out. All in all, this is a decent Starbucks and gets an A-OK from me. read more

Mostly because it is located in a spot that's easy to park, has ample outside seating and is conveniently located AWAY from downtown. The staff here is always very friendly, and the drinks fantastic! This Starbucks location is a bit small. I won't talk about the coffee because it's pretty standard at all locations. If you're looking for a place to sit down and read or work, you should know that this location has very limited indoor seating - about 5-6 tables, and most had access to a power outlet. There's more outdoor seating, but without power. This location has a dedicated parking lot, but as others have pointed out, it's pretty small. It's otherwise a fairly quiet location so if you don't mind waiting for a table, it's a great place to sit down to work. read more

I stop in here on my way home from Feathered Follies. I'm a light weight these days (no caffeine-boohoo) so I usually get the standard for me "tall decaf non-fat vanilla latte, with a summer deviation: Ice. The service is consistent and its usually pretty quick for a Starbucks. I guess being tucked out of the way the line isn't a mile long.... sweet! My "fake" coffee always tastes good as it should. Has a lot of nice seating on the outside and if I had time that would be grand. It also has its own lot to park a big plus, since all the ones in downtown Walnut Creek are impossible to park by to get a quick coffee( and quick coffee for Starbucks is usually an impossible task anyway) So if for some reason you driving down Mt. By far this is my favorite Starbucks to visit (no seriously, the loyalty is real -- I drive all the way from Vallejo to grab a coffee from here). Why? Because the staff here is AMAZING...like really amazing --- some of the nicest people you'll meet. They're friendly and welcoming - they even make a point to remember my order at times. My drink has consistently been made to perfection -- which is a huge plus because most baristas tend to add too much of one ingredient over another. Crafting a grande MBTL with extra mango, extra lemonade, and light ice is no easy task; however, they accept and execute the finished product (oh so) perfectly. The ambiance is super chill too! It's a great place to study, read the morning paper, or kick back and enjoy the cool Lafayette breeze (the plush outdoor patio seating is top-notch). I'll admit, sometimes it can get a little crowded (I am assuming because, like me, this is everyone's favorite Starbucks too?), but the team is always serving up some tasty beverages with a warm smile. read more

Review #018 - 2016 I've been to this Starbucks on many occasions and service has always been good. I especially love the outdoor seating with all the beautiful scent from the jasmine on the trellis. My last visit here was not so great. One of the girls decided that she wanted to sweep the carpet inside the store while we were placing our order. I don't mind that she was trying to do her job, but why not take the carpet outside and sweep it out there? My sister and I were both standing there waiting for our coffees and the next thing you know, there's dust flying all over the place. The father and I had large (oops, Venti) iced teas here after our reservoir walk and before our AG Ferrari experience. This is the Starbuck's of choice for many soccer Mom's after dropping their children off at nearby school's. There are a few local business people that drop in too, as I once sat next to a woman giving a perspective new salesman an interview. But mostly it is Mom's. (PS - it wasn't a very good place for an interview, small tables, cramped, no privacy. She must have been a Mom that is just used to going here, or didn't really want to hire this guy. I would have felt uncomfortable!) Then there are also a lot of kids here, too. Younger siblings with their parent after the older one was dropped off; some Junior HIgh and High School kids who come here in packs like they do, too. Almost always girls. Like Mother, like Daughter? Aren't they too young for coffee? I blame reruns of "Friends" and those parents who are teaching their kids at too early an age to come to Starbucks. Even if it is only hot chocolate. I don't like it. This Starbuck's has very little sitting area inside. It is small and narrow. Fortunately, there is a good sized porch for outdoor seating, as long as the weather cooperates. (PS - That woman conducting the interview didn't bother to take the interview outside, even on a nice day, where there would have been less people listening to the interview. Unprofessional in my opinion!) Staff is friendly, but it is always changing. Lafayette's finest used to hang out in the mornings here. Not lately. You know they get free coffee at Starbucks? In general Starbucks are 3 star for me. Coffee is fine, not special. If I'm going for chain coffee...I prefer that other one. This particular Starbucks may have a lot of soccer moms as Wanugee describes (fine by me...I'm more of a hoops mom) but it also has an over abundance of those people who can't go anywhere without their dogs. Don't get me wrong, I love my dog and take her for walks every day...but she does not need to go out to coffee, restaurants, kid's sporting events, shopping, etc. with me. It's kinda selfish don't ya think? Is your dog dying to be leashed to your chair while you have coffee? Do you break out a watering can and scrub brush if your dog takes a P on the patio? By far the WORST Starbucks I've ever been to. I'm a religious coffee drinker and have visited many Starbucks'. I've been a gold member for five years now and have never had this happen to me. I had a reward on my phone that I wanted to redeem, it showed up on my phone and everything. When I was being rang up I told the barista I wanted to use my reward so I scanned my phone and she said it wasn't going through, I told her to try it again. She did and still wasn't going through. She called her manager and that manager was the dumbest person I ever met. My latte was already made and she told me there was nothing she could do for me. She suggested I call the 800 number for them to fix the app. I will never go to this location again. As a good manager she should of gave me the latte and apologised to me for the inconvenience. So when I got there to do some work before meeting up with my boss down the street, i was frustrated after I had ordered my drink and then settled in to realize that I was going to have to leave since my computer was dying. Been coming to this Starbucks store for many years, and while it has had it's brief down times service-wise in the past, particuarly on the upkeep, I can tell you that they have really stepped up their game! Many months ago I noticed an evident decline in the upkeep and I said something, and to their great credit I have noticed that this place is now super consistent in maintaining the space (garbage, restrooms and floors). Drinks have always been consistently good, reliable. It is an average size store but they fit in tables and chairs as much as possible. My favorite thing about this store is the outdoor patio when the weather permits, it is a great place to visit or to work on your computer. AC inside blows too cold most of the time, but I bundle up if staying inside. Parking is hit or miss with about 20 spaces and a dead end turn-around. I know, I've been staring at the pastry case for 6 hours. 2 stars for store layout and noise level. I hear the downtown SBUX is more spacious. Sometimes my drink is ok. And sometimes it isn't. They are very inconsistent. I may be picky but if I say light ice I'd expect them not to use the venti ice scoop.. Or at the very least hold the ice back with the lid if the tea shaker.. Also they put their teas in the plastic cups at night while they wash the pitchers. These cups have no lids for starters (ew). I stopped into this location after an afternoon of shopping in this town. There was a very long wait at the register even though there were only two people in front of me. The second person came to help but he was distracted by the other workers and didn't hear my request to check my gold card for any rewards. I ended up having enough so he had to refund me and rescan my items. Then the Barista didn't put the sprinkles on top of my drink and when I asked she seem to have an attitude about it.
