I stopped into this location after an afternoon of shopping in this town. There was a very long wait at the register even though there were only two people in front of me. The second person came to help but he was distracted by the other workers and didn't hear my request to check my gold card for any rewards. I ended up having enough so he had to refund me and rescan my items. Then the Barista didn't put the sprinkles on top of my drink and when I asked she seem to have an attitude about it. I'm sorry but when I'm paying these prices for a coffee I expect all the extras when they are available. I do like it was the happy hour BOGO. I also take advantage of that. read more

I came here because a friend in Moraga suggested it over the other Starbucks in Lafayette because of "ample parking". Although they have a parking lot that holds about 12 cars, it is always full as many people come to use the free wifi and work on their computers. We both wound up parking on the street which is free but limited to 2 hours. Typical Starbucks otherwise, with very limited inside seating and most seating outdoors. read more

The drinks are typical. The service is a tad slow. Why the 4 stars? Their make-up sex. Well they made up, but not the other part... They screwed up an order. Made it up w free next drink. Then they screwed up another order weeks later, and recovered. Starbucks doesn't lay out soy milk, or syrup, or the many many other coffee condiments that Peet's does. My office away from my office, oh what would I do without my Starbucks. Sitting inside was a must as it was so hot I was beginning to feel like the witch from wizard of oz, but they have a shaded patio that provides seating in a comfortable environment. The do have seating inside where it is air conditioned. If you are on the phone though they do have music playing. I had my first sandwich from here for $5.45 which was a three out of five. The employees here are very friendly. Parking was a breeze but the only thing is the outlets are on the ceiling. read more

Just another Starbucks chain. Nice little spot to grab a drink and go. It's usually crowded and busy for the most part. Parking is always packed but there's a lot of street parking. Couldn't help but notice the trash in the plants outside, the dirty floor inside and when I peeked at the counters behind the register, they were dirty, too. No line to order but took several minutes for my chili mocha to be ready. Imagine my disappointment when I removed the lid and discovered only about a tablespoon of whipped cream. I am not sure why this location always has issues. I know it's a busy store but it has had chronic problems for years now. The problems are everything from regularly being out of brewed dark roast drip to forgetting to put sandwich orders into the oven to forgetting to bag pastry items. Oh well. This place gets 5 stars because of the great outdoor patio area, parking lot and the great staff. Sometimes I wish the parking lot were bigger, but then again, Lafayette (being a one-street town) usually has really bad parking. Staff is extremely nice, and most work their butts off to ensure a good customer experience. The store manager, though, can be extremely annoying. She tends to shout a lot, even threatens to sing in various accents, and she has been known to berate employees in front of customers. One word of caution: stay away from this place on Wednesday mornings between 8 and 9am. Several local schools start late, and this causes an horrific logjam of parents and kids lining up for caffeine. In my experience, the store manager has no clue how to staff the store most mornings, this day of the week in particular. She generally does not schedule the quicker team members on Wednesdays. All that being said, there are some really great team members, and among those are Lacy, Chris, Will, Alex and Marian. If you have any of them working (and even better if all of them are on shift together), you will get really great service. But the store really needs a new manager. Ugh. read more

Though this Starbucks has ample seating, the baristas quite often mess up drink orders and seem to move at a snails pace, even when there are huge lines. Also, even though this location has its own lot, parking can be pretty atrocious. If I'm ever in a Starbucks mood, I'll just go up the street. read more

I work two doors down at Pinkies Nail Salon and this Starbucks is a must for me every morning. I LOVE the people that work there. They are always very friendly and efficient. Plus, they always remember what I like to drink. Can't complain about that! Only complaint would be the wait time for the drinks. They should have two people working the bar, not one. This place is my daily stop in the morning. The staff here is always very kind and hardworking. The line is always near the door and the staff plow through to accommodate each patron. Coffee here is my staple. No matter the flavor it's a delicious roast. The food selection is great too. I rotate between the bacon Gouda artisan sandwich and the sausage sandwich. Always delicious. When I switch it up, I love that they heat up all the pastry options. Seating inside is limited but is overseen by the ample patio seating. A huge perk they have free wifi! Love relaxing with a cup of coffee and working on my laptop. The only downside is there are NO outlets to power up! Can't hangout to long or the power will die! I've been here a few times since moving to the neighborhood. It's nice and cozy inside with a big outdoor patio outside. My main complaint is that 3 days within one week, I went there and they were out of earl grey tea so I couldn't get an earl grey tea latte. The first time they were nice and gave me a coupon for a free drink, but the following days they just apologized and asked me for another drink option. I've been hesitant to go back because of it. I also went to the Starbucks in downtown Lafayette that same week and they were also out of earl grey tea! Kind of a big disappointment for me. Hopefully they get some in soon. read more

Something about this end of Mt. Diablo. I mean the Ace Hardware (up the street) has this disinterested bevy of college students employed on site and this Starbucks follows suit. Service, efficiency, and a sense of urgency to serve customers is truly lacking. I would say the product (coffee/hot chocolates) stands up to the other stores, however this store is very slow in serving it up. Two things I do like about this store are that seating is plentiful and the store has an attached outdoor patio. I was really excited when this store opened cause it was very conveniently located. However, I put in a mobile order every day and every day I am waiting, sometimes up to 15 min regardless of how much time is passed before I get there. Not one time have I arrived and my drink has been ready. Just today, I ordered my drink from my driveway, drove for 10 min, got gas and then went to get my coffee and it still was not ready. I thought for sure after 30 min, my drink would be ready but no. So I am done with that store! read more

She specifically said selling one cup covers the cost. You're a coffee place! You should focus on having coffee brewed. We arrived early on a rainy weekend morning. There were customers at the inside tables, and a few people waiting for their drinks. I counted 6 employees. One cashier, two at the hot drink prep area, and three in somewhat mysterious roles which involved them talking to each other behind the counter. The wait was long, and the thumping music piped in over the two speakers-which were playing in stereo, you don't do that in any public room-made it seem even longer. We finally got our drinks, wove our way past a couple of cars whose drivers found it necessary to sit in the middle of the odd-shaped lot waiting for spaces, and left. Never to return. read more

This used to be the best Starbucks in town (worth the limited parking) but after today I will not be going back. After waiting in line and then waiting at least seven minutes for my drink (an iced tea...) I was told there were grounds in my tea and a new batch needed to be brewed which would take at least five more minutes. I had to leave for work and didn't have time for a twenty plus minute break. The staff was rude and did not even offer to refund the purchase. I left without the drink I paid for and will start going to the downtown location from now on. read more
