This is the typical Starbucks! Consistently great quality coffees and friendly baristas. I ordered the black coffee and it came out piping hot and delicious. It is a funny day when Starbucks is the discount choice! I wanted to try to coffee from our hotel, but couldn't bring myself to pay $7 for a cup of coffee. Starbucks is often my "go to" coffee in Texas. It was a treat getting to enjoy them in Hawaii. read more

We got there around 8ish AM. Bf got his usual black coffee w/ cream. He had their bagel and thought it was ok. I, however, ordered a hot breakfast sandwich - with turkey, egg white and cheddar and a hot white chocolate mocha (that's all I really drink from Starbucks) -- but instead, what they gave me was: a bacon, regular egg w/ cheese sandwich and a hot mocha!! Seriously, if I wanted a hot mocha, I would've ordered a hot chocolate b/c that was how it tasted. I didn't realize they screwed up on my order until we found a seat outside (there wasn't open place to sit inside) and I was too annoyed by the smoggy loud public buse in front of our table to go back inside. Needless to say, the egg (yellow) tastes like it's been pre-frozen and microwaved. Kind of gross. read more

Excellent Starbucks, and trust me I have been to MANY Starbucks all over the world! The employees are friendly and make excellent drinks. Don't miss the ham, egg & cheese croissant sandwiches (made locally by one of the hotels). Worst coffee I've had ever. It's worst than the coffee they serve in prison, which is where the monkeys at this Starbucks belong. Seriously folks, making coffee with the hardware they have isn't difficult, it's like making a Big Mac; they supply all of the items you need, you just needs to push the buttons and put it together. It's not hard. But somehow this Starbucks seems to employ Missing Link primates who are not up to the task. You are better off with one of the many local coffee shops. read more

The other reviewers are right, this location always is busy, but I found the staff to be friendly and the drinks made perfectly. They have a Thai latte made with sweetened condensed milk, if you don't see it on the menu you should ask for it, and it always hits the spot. Quick service, but we are always amazed at the rudeness of some of the baristas. For example, today my wife ordered an iced coffee with 2% and no sweetener. When my wife received her coffee it had no milk in it. My wife nicely said it was suppose To have 2% in it. The Barista, in a snooty tone, told my wife there's milk over there. Which there wasn't, so my wife had to ask, the same barista, for the 2%. The barista acted as if my wife was bothering her. This is a common occurrence at this particular Starbucks! read more

Unfortunately my experience with this Starbucks location was sub par. I had to change my order 3 times because they were out of so many ingredients. After paying, the gal at the drive-up window gave us our food and dismissed us without giving me the coffee I ordered and acted put out when I reminded her. And lastly, our breakfast sandwiches were scorching hot on one side and almost frozen cold on the other. I've never experienced anything like this at any of the many Starbucks I've visited. Shitty service is right. This was our second visit to this location in three days. The cashiers were nice both times, but baristas were RUDE on both occasions. To top it off, my iced chai tea latte was left with 2 inches of space and way too much ice. Won't be returning to this location. Hopefully the others have better service. read more

Went here years ago for our first Starbucks on Maui. We go back when we stay in Kaanapali. Always receieve great service and drinks.

Very impressed with this Starbucks. They got our drinks right every time and was very fast considering the island is somewhat slow.

My least favorite Starbucks! Went here for coffee after lunch, and order my usual favorite cappuccino and hubby's pike place. I told the guy at the cashier that I need cream for the pike place coffee. When dh opened the cup, there's no cream in it, the cream carafe was empty, and the guy who served the coffee was just looking at us then left. Not good customer service, not coming back! read more

Not quite the same as PNW coffee shops, but the tea wasn't bad! Ask for it extra sweet because it was really light.

I find the Cannery Starbucks the best, Ann the Manager keeps the store neat and tidy all her staff is always friendly and they give great service I visit them almost daily when I walk in they greet me by name and know my order by heart and it has always been perfect, I recommend you stop in and see what I mean. I hear they may be raising their prices, I hope not, as much as I love this place what I'm paying for coffee and a breakfast sandwich I can get a full breakfast, omolete, rice, toast, coffee,come on starbucks give us a break keep things the way they are or lose some loyal customers. read more

Living in the Northwest and having a Starbucks on almost every corner, we are used to a different experience than we get at this one. Cannery Mall Starbucks employees could care less about you as a customer. Most likely you are just a visitor passing through Maui and within a week or two you will be gone. The baristas/cashiers have an attitude( I could care less about you!) We had one of our drinks made the other day and the espresso was not added, it ended up being a hot chocolate. We were already down the road when we finally tasted it(yuck). When we went in the next day we told the same gal who helped us the day before(the one who does not where her name tag) about what had happened and her response was"so"?!? I'm sorry but "so" is not the response we would get at home. We would immediately be apologized to and offered at least that drink be made over for free and maybe the whole order free. Not "so". The quality of drinks is also very inconsistent, you may get 3 pumps of chocolate or maybe four, doesn't really matter, you won't be coming back for long, you are on vacation! Avoid it like this place and go for the one down the road near Hilo Hatties. read more
