I've been to this Starbucks several times, and received good service every time. Drinks have been made beautifully, good selection of food, and gorgeous little shopping center next to little shops and Safeway. I never write reviews but I feel this is necessary. I come to this Starbucks often because it's right next to my work and I have had a couple instances where my drinks were made wrong and they have corrected it without any grief. Today I did a mobile order for a tall iced coffee with breve and sugar free vanilla. The ingredients were right but the color of the drink was pale white. A coffee drink should not be pale white unless you ask for extra cream. I asked them to make it again (which they did), but now they didn't put enough breve for me. So I asked them to put a little more and one the female baristas told me to next time put light breve on the app. I asked her to show me since I have never seen that on the app before and she told me she couldn't help me because she didn't know where it was (all of this in a really rude tone). I honestly don't see how they think they made that drink right in the first place if it was pale. If I am paying $4-$5 for a drink, I want it to be right and I think most people would agree with me. Most Starbucks don't care about the quality of the drinks like Philz and other mom and pop shops, all they care about is how fast they do it, no matter if the drink is good or not. read more

Great Starbucks location in the Sharon Park neighborhood - large store with tons of seating, inside and outside. There's a Safeway and a CVS in the same strip mall, so including coffee all of your basic needs should be met. Nice staff, great location! read more

I love to order through my app because sometimes the burista or cashier either gets it wrong or the environment is so rushed. This time I decided to walk in and order. This was the best experience by far. Cashier was pleasant even when the line seemed long and the girl in charge of my drink was extremely sweet. They also took the time to thank me by name. Though this location is in an old shopping center off Sand Hill Road, it's the nicest Starbucks location I've ever seen. The seating area is immense and looks clean and comfy. Really disappointing when i come to this location. Being a former starbucks employee (from this location for 3 years) it is a bummer when i come in here. This has happened multiple times. Tony especially--you can barely hear him, and has the worst tone when taking your order. The last 3 times he has taken my order and is just plane rude. When i think of starbucks, the baristas are supposed to be full of energy and a people person. Definitely not the case with him. This is probably the most friendly, poppin (its always filled with people), and efficient Starbucks I've been to. I've been going almost every morning since I started my new job (about 3 weeks ago). They definitely know what CUSTOMER SERVICE means! Let me elaborate: (1) They knew my name by the 4th day and greeted me by it every time I ordered my drink the days that followed (2) Compliments, compliments, compliments. Whether its a compliment on my fit, my hair, my whatever... It's nice to start your day with someone noticing that you actually took some time to get yourself together in the morning. I have to give this Starbucks five stars. Ample seating (inside and out), friendly baristas, bathrooms always clean, and tons of parking. Pretty much all you can ask for, right? This place can get crowded, though. It caters to the Sand Hill crowd (who frequently stage tables outside for one-on-one business meetings, the mommy crowd (Sharon Heights yummy mummies) and their progeny, unemployed programmers and elderly folks. Also, there are some regular crazy folk who like to hang around here, but the baristas know them and are generally tolerant of their idiosyncracies. read more

I ordered some coffee. They made it and gave it to me. Later, I ordered a chocolate banana vivano. The person behind the counter (I can't remember if it was a he or a she, as i was so hopped up on cold medicine that I'm not sure I was even wearing pants) made a recommendation about getting espresso mixed in with that drink. I took them up on it. It may have been good, but I couldn't taste anything (see the above note about cold medicine). Anyway, they made it and gave it to me. This Starbucks, like all Starbucks, is clean, friendly, warm and airy. The folks behind the counter are cheerful, they take your order in advance, they make your order, and they call it out and get it to you quickly. Not much else to say about it; nothing extraordinary, but I'm not sure Starbucks Corporate allows for the strange or exotic in their individual coffee houses. OK so this is just a Starbucks -- why am I reviewing it? Because it is THE BEST PLACE for a work meeting, when you're meeting somebody who's driving by on 280. I've had a number of work meetings (2 or 3 people) here. It's large, so there's always tables available, sit inside or outside. Never too crowded. Wireless internet if you need to log into somebody's email or website. Easy to find (if you know the turnoff from Sand Hill -- it's not visible from Sand Hill, which is one reason it's not crowded IMO). Super fast freeway access to 280. Yeah, there are some places in Woodside or in Menlo Park along Alameda -- but nothing as convenient as this place, IMO. read more

One of the dirtiest Starbucks I've encountered. Their litter of cups, lids, straws, wrappers, napkins, food bags, etc. were ALL OVER the Sharon Heights parking lot, overfilling every trash can that people were just tossing trash next to the trash can, and blowing into the neighboring streets and neighborhood. Absolutely shameful. No recycling options in the store, no compost options in the store. Plastic straws are not recyclable - please provide a paper option for earth friendly customers, and gain back your lost zero waste customers. Please make these changes to significantly improve the environment your company claims to care about! I apologize if this comes off as harsh. This is a more comfy Starbucks than most. The wifi is strong and outlets aren't too hard to find. The coffee is... well Starbucks. The baristas are super nice and usually greet u when ure in line. However I don't recommend the bacon egg and Gouda sandwich. The egg has to be one of the weirdest fast food eggs I've had. It was fluffy but it had a crumbly texture and did not taste like egg at all. It almost tasted plasticky. Probably get something without the egg bcs the sandwich came out piping hot and the ciabatta was chewy and had a nice flavor. My two fav drinks are viet style coffee (double expresso with 3 pumps of white mocha syrup) and thin mint frap (green tea frappuccino with chocolate syrup and java chips with a pump of peppermint syrup). I come here to study every 2-3 weeks and i always find a seat though I can't say the same about outlets since I always come with a fully charged laptop. This location also provides wireless phone rings so you don't have to bring your phone charger. Another great unexpected discovery is the soy milk available at the bar! You don't have to ask for it or pay the extra $0.60! First starbucks I've been to that does this. Plenty of parking and nearby a safeway if you need to do grocery shopping before or after your daily coffee fix. I ordered a triple espresso with toffee nut (my favorite!) and it's always made right and without a long wait :) Unfortunately it does get a bit dirty at times.
