I come to this starbucks fairly often- there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Lots of outlets available inside as well. Ambiance is very relaxed and the cafe is usually filled with students or locals. The quality of the drinks are very high here, and the baristas are very friendly. Kiki is one of the best baristas there. She is just delightful- very friendly and helpful. Always has a smile on her face and often remembers customers and their orders (including mine!) She is engaging, as she asks me about my day and we have great discussions. The other baristas are very friendly as well, and are positive. Management is very smooth as well from what I can tell. This location has had some changes of management recently, and it seems that everyone is much happier. Manager seems friendly. This location in particular is very busy, and has rushes in the morning and sometimes even in the afternoon. However, everything still goes smoothly, and the baristas work very fast. I'm not a fan of starbucks' so-so coffee, but the location is superb... quiet, calm, classical music streaming from nearby safeway.. parking is no problem. i love this place. I come here regularly but this time at 11:20 AM 18th of April I was receiving great customer service until the barista messed up the order. I asked for simply forward to be remade she assured me that the drink was made correctly it wasn't in upon review from her supervisor she reluctantly made another. Her attitude Was unprofessional. I believe with training she will become a better barista and with more training work on your customer service. read more

hmmmm...have fortunately been to many Starbucks, throughout the U.S...and this was the first time I have been treated rudely. I guess I am lucky it took this long, considering how many I have been to. Yesterday...rude girl...Hailley?? Not sure of the spelling...asked for a no whip drink, saw her scrape the whip off...gave it to me..whip all over the lid & top of drink. When I asked for a new one, she really acted put out & not happy about making a new drink. Thankfully only one customer behind me...so I didnt slow much down. I budget 15-20 minutes, and 99% of the time, it ends up taking that long to order and get my drink. --Unfortunately, they have messed up pretty standard orders and given away my drink to other customers by accident..... --Tons of tables inside and outside. Worst Starbucks ever. When I went here, it took f o r e v e r to get my latte. Were they busy? Not at all. Were the two male baristas completely high, bumping into each other and messing up all the drink orders, and giggling? Yes. It took almost 20 minutes for me to get my latte. I hang out here a lot more than I should. Proximity to work has a lot to do with it. I am biased towards this starbucks because everyone knows me knows what I order and has it ready before I finish placing my order. Sure the lines are long, its more of an office space for business people than a coffee shop but I love it . First time at this location. I ordered a sandwich and a grande strawberry acai. The cashier was an older woman who was extremely nice. I initially ordered a grande refresher with extra water. She suggested I order a tall with extra water in a grande cup to save some money. My drink was made by this barista with some sort of kitty head band. She was the rudest. My drink was missing strawberries and it was two inches empty. I walked up to her and asked if she can fill it up with water, ice or anything Idc im not picky. She rudely said do you want more water or what?. I said water I guess. She threw out my drink in front of my face into the sink looking so mad and made me another one. Been to this Starbucks twice. Left with no coffee both times! Today after waiting 15 minutes with only 3 customers in the store i finally asked what happened with my coffee? They then infomed me there was no mocha, and if i wanted them to make mocha they can start now but it will take another 10 min. Okay, how about the 15 min i waited while the different employee's made eye contact with me over and over and said nothing? Then they offered to make me a different drink like the one i chose. I said thats fine, couple minutes later they infomed me they were out of that one too! Definitely the best Starbucks location in the area. Plenty of seating and a very friendly staff, plus Safeway is nearby in case you wanted something more plenteous (and cheaper) to eat. I often set up here during my studious weekdays, although it gets crowded with the work-from-home type around the afternoon. The only quibble I have is its early weekend closing hours. She said that would be good for me since I liked sweet and she even let me in on her secret which is adding caramel to it. She said if I didn't like it she would remake it. Nice and modern Starbucks. The location is a bit tough to find, but it's worth it. Not the most functional or attentive baristas in the world (the queue was a mile long all morning, and shockingly not due to "one pump, two sprinkles, xyz" type of orders), but I like the atmosphere enough to come back anyway. read more

I am at this Starbucks every morning. I pick up a cup of coffee while walking the dog. The folks here really work their tails off and are exceedingly nice. I think a lot of the credit probably goes to the manager, Ben, who is very diligent and obviously cares a lot. I would love to see Starbucks adding a separate line for those of us who only want coffee and are not ordering their coffee with one half yak milk, one half fairy dust, etc. read more

It's always a pleasant experience coming here. The staff is friendly and personal, and they recognize their regular customers. They always get my order right, and the general vibe there is much less commercial as opposed to several other branches I've been to in the area. I agree with other posters that the employees are nice. We went to this Starbucks to meet a friend who worked a couple of buildings down. He says that this is a perfect place to meet other VCs and startups as a VC. I frequent this Starbucks as it is on the way to work. Despite the crowds in the morning rush hour, the staff get you through the line quickly and without errors. I like the outdoor seating even though you are near the parking lot in a older strip mall. read more

I liked this Starbucks which is in a nice area of Menlo Park. It was pretty crowded, but there was lots of outdoor and indoor seating so you could easily find a place to sit. The employee that took my order was friendly and my latte was tasty. I would come again if in the area. read more

A lovely Starbucks, with generous seating both indoors and outdoors. A great place to get a bit of work done. Folks tend to stick around for reasonable periods of time rather than camping out all day, so there's a good amount of turnover and it doesn't have the stagnant feel that some cafes have. The staff is great. I've been their first customer of the day a number of times, apologetically rolling in at 5:00 AM exactly (but not before!), and they've been unfailingly pleasant. read more

It's such a convenient location for me! I work in the area and it's great to stop in for a coffee, but also get some groceries at the nearby safeway! The atmosphere is quiet if you want to read a book outside on their patio furniture or get some work done inside their spacious cafe. The people are friendly and the area is safe. The parking is ideal where you can usually find a spot right in front. Really it's just one of the nicest Starbucks I've been to! read more

Terrific ambience, very classy, a cut above the usual Starbucks experience (which is entirely acceptable in itself). This is a very wealthy area, so they duded up the joint considerably, with deep wood accents, fancy French louvres and other elegant trimmings. The exterior sports comfortable cloth chairs and tables under a wide overhang with oak trees. Excellent views of the surrounding countryside, no parking problems, and other shops available in the adjoining medium-sized mall. It's rarely as crowded as a downtown Starbucks, and seems to have a high barista/patron ratio. The most elegant and relaxing Starbucks experience I've had to date. read more

I tend to stop at the Starbucks on University Avenue, but I happened to be in Sharon Heights to pick up a cake at Martha's Pastries so I stopped in to grab my daily cup of coffee. This Starbucks offers a large seating area and patio area to sit and enjoy your coffee. The staff there clearly seemed to recognize their regular customers and chatted warmly with them. While I think it's great when staff know their customers, what I didn't like was how it caused the line to back up. Thankfully, I wasn't in a big rush, but had I been, I would have been one very annoyed customer. The drink itself was made exactly the way I ordered it. Kudos to the barista. read more
