This Starbucks was inside a grocery store thus more of a grab n go then sir and study.

I truly love Starbucks. All of my family and friends know how much I enjoy my favorite drink. The problem is when I order my favorite drink, as it is on the menu- no changes - It is different at every Starbucks I go to. This is confusing and sad. I only go to Starbucks because I assume all the different locations I go to my drink will be the same at each location..yet it's not. Why is this happening? I understand that each barista is making my drink fresh to order, but if I order the exact same drink as it is on the menu, the recipe should not change, it should taste the same at any Starbucks I go . It's very obvious that some baristas are more heavy-handed, some add way more ingredients than others do. I've even tried to get to know each barista at my closest location and I look at who it is and based off drinks from the past, I will adjust my drink because I know this barista is known to put "more" or "less" of the recipe ingredients in my drink ‍It's very wasteful ($$$$) At this point: If I order the same drink at Starbucks at various locations those drinks should taste exactly the same, but they don't! Yet-- they should- That is what baristas tell me if the barista following the recipe as Starbucks offers it. I do not make any changes to Starbucks suggested recipes. Some of my friends and family tell me to "go support local small business cafés". The reason why I don't is because I'm assuming Starbucks will make my drink the same everywhere I go, but now I am slowly giving up Starbucks has lost its consistency? Yes. So go to order. There is no acknowledgment that im standing there at the front of the line by the middle aged lady... No big deal, it happens. A very nice, younger asian lady eventually shows up and greets me to take my order, which was a latte. As i am waiting for my order, after some time, the middle aged woman puts a drink out and says "Latte". I asked "is this the coconut latte" and she snaps, "That's not yours". Okaaay... so I just leave to get a separate item (I'm inside safeway). When I returned, I see Mrs. Grumpy pants placing what looks to be my drinks down, since I'm the only one there. I didn't confirm. Wouldn't want to upset her with my annoying questions. This SB still gets 5 stars because the other girl was very nice and people have their bad days. But I'm posting this in case you're always having bad days, in which case, quit being a b*tch. :-) read more

Starbucks - a man working behind the counter at a starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Pleasanton, California

The Associate (I don't know her name) who was in the morning 9'ish was showing zero basic customer service. Through out the entire transaction to order coffee she was showing an unwelcome facial expression and zero communication (did not say a single word). She was showing the same attitude when asking to refill the half and half from the concession stand. Totally not a good experience on this particular transaction. Quite often I stop by this Starbucks in Safeway and their service is pretty good. The Associates are friendly and showing good customer service, but unfortunately not in this morning. read more

This is one of the best Starbucks I've been too inside a Safeway at Pleasanton area! Bar none the staff are very nice and sweet. The former employee now Manager named Dawn is pitch par perfect. Super sweet lady that listens to what you really like in your coffee and does it. Her staff follows her high spirited energy and delivers. Seriously this great team comradery amongst the staff just makes your day and reminds you that there are still kind people out there. Wish more people would apply this! :) read more

Can I get Zero star? Dear, Manager, please talk with your employee( I don't want to tell you who she is , but please talk with her). Normally I don't write review for food place or Starbucks. Today I ordered a LARGE cold brew coffee, I told her not to put ice in because it is raining and cold outside ,one of your employee dumped all the ice with HALF (50%) of the coffee left, She felt not embarrassed. She stopped dumping the ice and asked me "Is this good enough?!"(because she ALSO realized that there is only 50% of the coffee left after she dumped all the ice) I laughed, I said"Yes, it is all cool". I just wanted the coffee so I can study and so I let it go. My LARGE cold brew coffee just became SMALL lol..she felt not embarrassed at all. I walked out Starbucks and finished that half of cup of coffee and then come back and refill again because I needed the caffeine to study, guess what? After paying another 50 cent to refill it, they filled the to 65% of the cup and added water to the coffee after I told them don't put ice because It is cold, raining, and I was sick. Oh My Lord, don't they understand that there is a thing called concentration? When you put water into the coffee, it will dilute the coffee and the effect is gone! omg..I don't mind paying the extra 50 cents,but please just give me some coffee please!. I think everyone should do a good job no matter if you are an engineer, doctor, waiter or cashier.......... It dissatisfies me when you see other people can't even do one thing correct or work hard when I work and study all day. I hope you take this into consideration Starbucks Manager, if you take this off, I can put it back again because I screened shot this. Good luck with your business. I'm not a fan of this Starbucks and I'm pretty easy to please as a starbux enthusiast. Once I saw a barista there take out a opened carton of half and half and go to pour it in the thermos and huge chunks of rotten milk came out. Yuck, but OK fixable situation right? Wrong! The barista looked at the thermos, paused, and walked away to do something else. Then the other barista noticed the thermos, realized it wasn't full and added a fresh carton of half and half to the grossness. I have no idea why the first barista wouldn't fix her mess or at least communicate to the other barista. If they're not throwing their old half and half out what about the milk in my coffee? Now I can never order drinks at this Starbucks again. My sister said that the Safeway Starbucks aren't really regulated by Starbucks and the employees don't have to go through as much food safety training. I dunno if that's true but I believe her. Just walk around the corner to the real Starbucks over by Noah's. read more

This place is going through construction with no information on how long it will be shut. Just wanted my hot coffee early in the morning and was met with construction guys instead! Had to settle for the slow service and mediocre coffee next door. The free WiFi still works. Extra star for wifi! read more

I know you're thinking this is just a Starbucks kiosk within a Safeway. How can it possibly get 5 stars? I'll tell you why. Her name is Tricia. The coolest barista you'll ever meet. She is super friendly and genuine. Coming from someone that isn't too concerned with customer service vs. the quality of the product, that's a major compliment. Even though I now have a Nespresso machine, I'll still stop in here for a visit. She's always offering to whip up custom drinks that aren't even on the menu. She'll even make you a sample of a drink if you're curious about it. My personal favorite is when she "forgets" to charge extra for soy. I wish the regular Starbucks store baristas had her level of customer service skills. I actually only pick up a coffee if she is working here while I'm grocery shopping. Otherwise I just grab a few groceries and go. read more

This is by far the best Starbucks I came across, all thanks to its wonderful customer service by Dawn and Tricia. They are both super sweet, try to connect with the customers, fulfill your needs just right, make the best coffee and always have a wonderful smile which shows they enjoy their work. This is the reason I prefer going back to them in Safeway rather than going to the exclusive Starbucks store in the same block. Cheers guys. Keep the great work going! read more

I knew there was a Starbucks inside Safeway but I never had the chance to go inside and purchase my coffee there. It's a small place but at least I know I will get in and out within 10 minutes. From ordering my drink to waiting for it to be done it just takes 10 minutes or less. But sometimes it CAN be slow because I came here twice and both of those times were just 1 barista taking the order and making the drinks. It's sad to see just 1 person doing everything but I understand that not everyone always go inside Safeway just for Starbucks coffee. It was a good experience there except sometimes I would feel my Caramel Frap is watered down and not blended enough with ice. It's good to stop by a place where there's a short line and the wait time isn't ridiculously unreasonable. I would give it 5 stars but I want to leave some room for improvement. read more

Needed to get some quick work done while a case was delayed . Always love grabbing Starbucks "Flat White". So light and hits the spot. Starbucks fan for years. This is a smaller location. Service is prompt. Furnishing could be updated , wear & tear showing . Thumbs up to having outlets beneath the seating area, makes more easy convenient power cord port access. read more
