Great location, happy to find one close to The Porter Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton. I was up in Portland for Business a few days and I visited this Starbucks every morning before our meetings started. It was only about a 3 minute walk from my Hotel, so very convenient. I used the app to pre-order to save time, but the staff was still very nice every morning, my Cafe Latte was made perfectly and ready for me when I arrived. Inside is typical Starbucks with a Portland take on it. Lots of seating inside, the is not an outdoor patio here as it is in downtown. Clean and welcoming inside, you can relax and enjoy your coffee, do some work or take it to go. I forgot to take a pic of my drink, but it was made exactly how I like it. Enjoy! read more

After about 6-7 minutes when my drink should have been ready I had to go up and give them my name to start my drink. Located in an extremely challenging location, right across from the Police Center and behind the Justice Center, which places them in the heart of all the current protests, peaceful and not. Everyday a group of "Jail supporters" set up camp on the sidewalk making it impossible to pass without walking on the street. And through it all, they keep mixing up tasty drinks and serving them with a smile. Even back in the "normal" days, this area was always bustling with all of the charity walks, festivals on the waterfront, tourists, business people in the World Trade Center buildings, and federal & local law enforcement and government employees. Talk about diversity! Since they are located right in the path of my daily walk, towards the end, it's a convenient place to stop when I want an iced beverage as my reward! Weirdly close to another Starbucks this one is actually a lot busier and more frequented than the other one a few blocks down . Its right across from the police station and gets a lot of activity. The premises is clean and they are actually well stocked on their bakery items. The staff is friendly and welcoming . I would highly recommend that you don't drive all the way but park a further bit away as parking here is almost impossible . read more

I particularly liked the sign that stated everything was donated to those less fortunate in the community after close of business. Things like this really stand out to me. This is my regular Starbucks and I just wanted to praise the staff who work at this difficult location. This location is a hotspot for activity in the downtown area. All of the races, waterfront events, protests, and demonstrations all take place by this Starbucks. The building across the street is also home to a police station and jail so the clientele here are quite diverse with law enforcement, federal and local government employees, post office employees, people who work in the court houses, construction workers, etc. The staff here do an exceptional job putting out fires and there never seems to be an issue here. The staff do an exceptional job getting to know the regulars here compared to other Starbucks IMO. Despite the busy location, this Starbucks keeps up with the pace quite well and handles any issues quickly and sufficiently. read more

Today I had Natali at the register and I ordered my 195 degrees latte and she said we can't do that we can only do 190. She then confirmed with another lady who said 180...? I was on my way to work, wanted a simple large cup of coffee to go and use the restroom as i drank a couple of cups previously at home. I bought the coffee, asked where the restroom was. The Starbucks didn't have one, steered me up an escalator to a very rude security person where I was expected to get a code and go back down again to the actual room. Well, I have been getting coffee here for about 4 years. Always liked the staff and service. Today, I come in for my mobile order, and while the warmed cookie is ready and waiting (cooling), I am told the decaf espresso machine is out of service. Sorry, I am told. Can they get me anything else? We determine only a pour over decaf is an option, so I say ok. They don't offer to compensate for the decreased value of the new drink ( since I already paid in the app). So I ask, are you going to give me a credit for an espresso drink to use at another time? Awkward silence. No, the manage can't approve a $5.00 credit for wasting my time as I wait for the new pour over to be made. The do agree to refund the difference when I ask for at least that. *After I ask. They have me come to.register, scan my app, and apply the refund. Wow, Starbucks. What happened? You used to have such fabulous, customer centric service, I didn't mind that you weren't a local shop. Very disappointed. read more

Staff is always nice, but so far it's a bunch of tiny things that add up to me avoiding the place till I forget or am in a rush. I don't want anything with chocolate heated up. Great Starbucks location in Downtown Portland. It's a very busy location so expect a bit of a wait. The store is clean and open with plenty of windows to light the sun shine in on those bright sunny days. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The location of this Starbucks is the sole differentiator that sets it apart from any others. I love this location off the waterfront. read more

This is the best Starbucks I have yet to buy from. I don't work across the street at One Main Place any longer but anytime I am in the area I stop by. The staff is great they always knew my name and order. This is one of the busiest Sbucks I have ever been too but, they churn those drinks out ASAP. This is not a great Starbucks. They are fairly inefficient and often disorganized, forgetting orders, having to remake drinks, running up significant delays, and so forth. They're very nice and mean well, but are often just not particularly confident. There are two other Starbucks locations literally two blocks away and it's definitely worth the extra legwork to go there instead. Even if you're a Starbucks fan, this is not the place for you. And if you're a Starbucks hater, this will only fuel your rage more. Meh :-/ read more

This has been my GoTo Starbucks for several years. I have to say the service has taken a dive lately. When the line is to the door and there is only ONE barista making orders, the wait has become unbearable. One barista making the Online Orders and the morning rush doesn't cut it. I've watched the barista working at a painfully slow pace with no sense of urgency on several days I'm out. I'll hit another Location. Small, in-building Starbucks. Only one barista ever works at a time, so lines can get really long and it's a very cramped space. Also, since it is such a small store, they carry a very limited food/pastry selection and it's always sold out by noon. read more

Finally this store has a decent crew! It used to be slow and was always out of sandwiches. I'm not sure what fire was lit on this store but there is more people working and they are much faster.
