One of the worse Starbucks I have been too. I have been to hundreds of Starbucks, but this one is one of the worst run or trained staff I have been to. The policies are definitely not customer friendly. Today, I went through the drive through and the person had difficulty understanding my order. When I went to the window, I asked her if she would take my empty Starbucks venti cup to dispose off. She stated we cannot take trash and I stated this store had done it before. She had no answer and handed my order and dismissed me. They have lost me as a customer - and I live nearby. I work in Monterey and Carmel - I have never been treated this way. Convent stop when driving to Monterey for the weekend with all the standard fare. Lacks a bit of professional baristas though as they are locals in an outskirts community on the edge of the farm belt running through the central bless of the state. Small shop fits the smaller cliental population in the area. read more

HORRIBLE! I came here today for the first and last time ever. I cannot believe the staff here! I ordered a Java chip frappuccino for my husband like I always do and when I received it at the counter it had caramel sauce all over the inside of the cup and on top...which it's not supposed to. So I said to the girl does it come with caramel now because it never did before? And she goes no the girl just decided to put it on there...excuse me?!? I don't pay $5 for someone to just put whatever they want on my drink!! Got my money back and will never return to a location where the staff just doesn't care! read more

What a friendly staff. Of course they have all the offerings of other Starbucks but the staff here is so nice, i wonder how they keep everyone so happy. I dont come this far very often but when i do i will always stop for a Latte at this place. read more

Absolutely disgusting, tables seemed like they weren't wiped at all and I came in around 11am, the floor is dirty with crumbs or god knows what. I was sitting in the chairs and there were flies everywhere. At least 6 of them. If this is what their lounging area looks like then I don't even want to know how the kitchen looks like! read more

It's a balancing act with this Starbucks. I feel like every time I come here, there's always a wait--even when the line seems short--and the drinks always taste just a little off--if it's not too cold, it's not strong enough. But it's sure convenient when you're on the road and the caffeine gnomes start poking away at your head demanding your daily dose of America's favorite drug. I usually do not use YELP. As, I work in the restaurant industry/management & all too much I have seen mainly complaints. But, today I had such a great experience. I had to share! I had a TERRIBLE experience with a nearby Starbuck's drive thru & the manager handled things pretty poorly..... To say the least! So, I decided to take my $ next door instead. After, my terrible experience with Starbucks drive thru "Manager" I left shaking & in shock. When I came into the indoor Starbucks I was greeted with smiles from Morgan & another women. When I explained too them that I was not normally a crazy, shaking maniac & what I had encountered next door. They were both in shock as well. With a warm smile Morgan replied " Ya know, I'm so sorry what you went thru... It's on the house!" I said no, no! But, she insisted. It was only a triple espresso (which, tasted amazing) But, the point is Morgan made felt like a Starbucks employee really cared! I left with a smile on my face & a yummy coffee drink. Thank you sooo much Morgan & barista(sorry! I didnt catch your name) Great job ladies!!! That's REAL customer service!!! I will now be getting out of my car to come too you instead. It's pretty cramped. Moreso than most other Starbucks I've been to. But the staff is very friendly, prompt & do a great job.

When our designated coffee picker-upper got to Starbucks she couldn't remember the exact order and she didn't have her cell phone to call back to the office to confirm everyone's order. If you open at 5:30 on Sunday, maybe you could change your website from 5:00 to 5:30. We mobile ordered. Got to the Starbucks at 5:20. Totally ignored by the two woman working. Knocked on door. This is my favorite Starbucks. I love the atmosphere and the location. Regarding the drinks I would say they are perfect about 8 out of 10 times. Which by normal standards is pretty darn good compared to other coffee shops. I think what a lot of people don't recognize is that pretty much everything is automatic. The milk (s) are steamed to the exact same temperature every time based on the preset on the machine which is set to a standard that all Starbucks have. For those of you have experienced luke warm drinks it is probably because you left it up sitting at the bar for a while before picking it up. Plus if you get whipped cream, which is cold, it will effect the temperature of your drink. Just order it extra hot if you want it to stay hot longer. For those who said their coffee tastes burnt , when it is just black coffee. I too drink plain black coffee, depending on the roast it will taste burnt sometimes but that again is not something that the barista's can control. Now having a a drink made that tastes burnt...that is a valid flaw. That is the reason my drinks are 8/10 perfect. Sometimes a person making the drink lets the shot sit there too long before adding milk(or water) which makes the shot loose it's flavor and consistency and lends towards a terrible drink. Thus, I give Starbucks 4 stars because...it is not always perfect, but for the times it is..it is AWESOME! :) read more

This store is one of the least professional stores of any kind, not just starbucks. The drinks are alright, the food is alright... its starbucks. Pretty consistent. However, the staff is horrible. I was a customer here for years until this past January when I moved. In January after being in this new building for a few months the staff was really bad, I thought it was cause they were all still pretty new new as they needed to almost triple their staff when they moved. They will get better I thought. They didnt. Now I am back here and it is just as bad as ever. Horrible staff. A few people from the old store are still here and they are good, but even some of them have been infected with this lazy attitude the new staff brought with them. Just awful. PS. When you people talk to each other through the headsets about customers who are standing right in front of you we know you are talking about us. Knock that off! Get a few older people in here who know customer service, and fire all these brat nose kids who wouldnt know politness if they were looking it up on Wiki. read more

literally the worst starbucks i have ever been to!!!! The lady who was working the drive thru charged me wrong for my drinks and then tried to tell me that I owed money even though I had more than enough on my card to cover it. She then got an attitude with me trying to tell me I loaded the money onto the wrong card. I ended up just having to pay for it but instead of being able to handle it herself she brought in manager to finish the order who when she handed me my card back she was like here is a receipt with an itemized break down of everything you order in case there was any confusion. I felt like crumbling up the receipt and throwing it at her. I have never been so upset after a Starbucks trip. I was half tempted to return the drinks and demand a refund. Obviously they need a lesson in customer service and how to talk to people. read more

I'm am a former Starbucks employee and this store is an embarrassment to the company. Starbucks is known for its FRIENDLY employees and positive attitude. One of the core values is "Just say Yes." However, at this locations the baristas are constantly rude. They act like they could not care less about you, or your order. I have been on multiple days, and different times. This is consistent issue with almost every barista. I have been overcharged several times. Once we order 2 frappuchinos, and the barista did it the "quick way." She used the same blender to make both fraps at the same time. This led to them tasting bad, and completely threw off the consistently. Again, I'm a former barista. I know how to cut corners, and how thins are supposed to be done. I really hope the district manager will step in because there are LOTS of complaints about this. Prunedale is a small town. You piss off a few of the wrong people, you will lose thousands in business. My manager used to say that my "smile was part of my dress code. If I didn't wear it, I was in violation of the dress code." Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but this is ridiculous. Shape up Starbucks Prunedale. We were hesitant to stop here because some of the recent bad reviews but I'm glad we stopped! We had a long drive in front of us so we wanted to make a quick stop for breakfast. I don't make a practice of eating at Starbucks so I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The cashier was polite, courteous and helpful. We couldn't figure out what my daughter wanted to eat because she just kept saying the "twisty thing". He figured out she wanted a croissant. The store and bathrooms are clean, the coffee was perfect, and the breakfast sandwiches were good. We were in and out of there in 20 minutes. It was worth the stop! read more

This location is very busy most of the times. We get great service and smiles all the time and the waiting is minimal.

I love coming here! I love coffee shops in general but this one is the best. the whole shop is ran very well. the manager whom I believe is this one dark haired girl, is incredibly beautiful and intelligent. she has done a fantastic job. in fact all the employees do a great job. angela in particular, is wonderful. she always makes me smile. whoever said the service is slow is ridiculous. most of the time I come here they already have my drink ready when I walk up to the reg, doesn't get any faster than that. read more
