Slow! Stopped for coffee at 6:45 pm on our way to the airport in San Jose. Pastry case was COMPLETELY empty!! My husband asked if there were any pastries available and was told yes, but had to take them out of the case because they were closing SOON...When I asked her what time they closed (assuming she was going to say 7 since it was close to 7) we were told 9!!!!! What the heck!! 2 hours and 15 minutes before closing they have pulled all product from display case. To top it off, she also made my coffee wrong! Will not frequent anytime soon!! read more

I go to starbucks at least 3 times a week, mostly this location since it's right across from my job. it's usually a bit of a wait and i understand but today when i went in there were no cars in drive thru and i was the only customer inside so i thought great i'm going to get my drink fast boy was i wrong. First off the employees noticed i was there and did not bother to acknowledge my presence when the cashier who was on his phone finally came up to take my order he put it on the register asked if i wanted my receipt before my ordered had even been processed and went back on his phone. read more

It's a decent spot. Every Starbucks is different. They make tasty drinks but service is a little off. Don't expect a ton of smiles but service moves fast so that's prob why. They have indoor and outdoor seating and also tons of parking since they are next to a supermarket. Full stock in the food dept and also tons of stuff to buy like cups and crap. read more

Maybe it was because we came in at 9:40 and the placed closed at 10, but spend a little extra time heating up our drinks next time please! Make sure your staff in drive thru remember to be off their headset when they're going to say rude things about the customer. I asked for a drink to be split in half (for my little ones) and she said they couldn't do that because of covid-19. I literally did it the day before and a week prior. No problem. Maybe they just changed the rules. I said no problem, please just get me an extra cup. As I'm driving off I hear her through the intercom telling her coworker that she wasn't going to do it because I could do it myself. Please teach your staff some basic mannerism. read more

Horrible customer service. Hit or miss here with the drinks. Identify thru drive thru and asked for a simple modification on my refresher and they respond with "we can't do that right now because the line is too long" when there was only 2 cars ahead of me and 1 person in the lobby ordering. Told me no simply because their time would run up. Never have been denied a modification to a drink EVER. Also ordered a hot drink that wasn't made right either. read more

Usually not one for reviewing corporate chains but..... was quite impressed with the service at this particular Starbucks. I stop at this location once a month or so on my way back home from work, and with being out of the state for a few months I felt a refreshing drink from Starbucks would help my drive home. The impressive part was the girl at the counter remembered my name and order! Always here about how their employees were pretty quick with matching drinks with faces, but drinks with faces and names! Kudos to ( Mandi or Amanda? i can't remember), and the rest of the staff is always quick and efficient without losing that small local coffee shop feel. I walked in with my baby boxer puppy on a leash and ordered a coffee and immediately a young brunette girl with a shitty attitude told me to get lost. I brought my boxer in multiple Starbucks in Santa Cruz on 41st Ave. and 17th Ave. and have never been harassed like today.. My advice to everyone is to stay on the 101 until you either hit Salinas southbound or Gilroy or Hollister northbound instead of stopping in the Prunedale Starbucks. They hate dogs and it sounds like they hate people that own dogs. And that is my experience today in Prunedale Starbucks. read more

This is a great Starbucks. It's located off the 101 and the 156 to Castroville. It's a newer Starbucks and I think it replaced the old Starbucks that was next to Safeway. I like how spacious this Starbucks is. There's so many places to sit and there's a large outdoor seating area. This is a good Starbucks to stop at if your on your way to Monterey or on your way back. If there's a lot of traffic it's nice to stop here for a few minutes and enjoy a beverage. The service was wonderful. The drinks tasted great too. read more

This is one of the most unprofessional Starbucks that I've ever been too!!! It seems to be ran by a bunch of rude people that based on their actions DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! What I noticed today 3/5/15 - Employee of the month - Ashley - OMG who picks these and what are they based on, THIS woman along with another named Amanda - ARE THE RUDEST BARISTAS out of all of them except for the manager who NEVER looks HAPPY anyway. To me it seems the issue is probably management and hiring a slew of young individuals whose hormones seem to rule the way they treat their customers!!! Another issue I've encountered which goes along with RUDE, one day I placed my order and being behind SO MANY people, I ran to Safeway really quick to buy dogfood and came back well within 10 min! I waited for my drink, they saw me and nobody said ANYTHING, my drink doesn't come so I ask Ashley, who was the barista that day about my drinks. She rudely without looking me in the eyes while we were talking says, "Oh, we threw them away because you weren't here." Really! I've done this SOOO many times and NOBODY has ever thrown my drinks away except for ASHLEY! AND I've seen many people go outside that little place and chat for much longer periods of time, than I was gone, BEFORE picking up their drinks. Their drinks didn't get thrown away! Why? Did I do something? The only thing I was doing EVERYDAY was coming to that Starbucks and spending over $15 on coffee everytime if not more!!! So why would such a place want to throw my business out the door when they see me there EVERYDAY!!! So she remakes my drink AFTER like 10 other drinks, so I had to wait ~ 20 min to actually have my drinks in hand. After I picked my drinks up, I went and talked to another barista who seemed the most available to talk, her name tag said Amanda. I ask Amanda, why do you throw drinks away and if you do throw drinks away when customers are not here, shouldn't you notify us by posting a sign so we KNOW? I told her I ended up waiting OVER 30 min for my drinks. Her response in a very defensive and ELEVATED voice, "Because they don't taste good if you let them sit there." Hmmm...Okay Amanda and your fellow Starbucks cohorts that DO NOT VALUE loyal customers I guess I have no choice but to accept THAT explanation.... My advice to these women is quit Starbucks and go to college. learn something about yourself, your life and the other people that you will have to deal with in society, because customer service is not your forte!!! read more

If you don't want your entire machiatto to be ice.. tell them BEFOREHAND...I have never seen my cup so full of ice and I order these a lot. I would have ordered light ice if I knew this would be the drink I'd be receiving. $5 for ice.. thanks. I had a very disappointing experience in this location! Having missed my exit for my regular location, I was exciting to see this Starbucks off the freeway. I immediately pulled over to get my coffee, when I walked in the cashier was ringing an order. When she was finished, I happily said hello, which was return with "she'll help you" while she guested to a barista who was cleaning or making something behind her. Clearly the other barista was already in the middle of something with her back to me. The cashier moved to stand in front of coffee maker doing nothing and continued to look at and then back to the other barista who had no idea I was even there. I don't know who oversees this Starbucks or maybe the regional manager has been sick (for the past few months) but this place routinely lets me down. It seems like every other time I'm here the drive thru is closed, which is a minor inconvenience but this time their espresso machine was broken. Luckily I only drink iced coffee but this is a major inconvenience for everybody else. This location is a hidden gem, nestled between another treasure in the Monterey Bay. I like the vibe, people watching and wide open space and interior that has a good layout for both privacy and groups. I'm a regular here when in town and especially like the staff. Well informed, tidy, attentive, friendly and talented! One of the barista's served up reserve coffee lattee blend in a mug with a beautiful designed foamed topping. Seems this location has upped their gamed beyond any other location I've been to yet. Nice touch and very good service! read more

I love the location and the amount of room in this Starbucks. However, no matter when I come in, they are out of Skinny Mocha sauce. They also seem to never have dark roast in the evening. My husband then asked for a pour over and they said no, to get dark roast he had to pay more and get one from their clover machine. This one, one in Milpitas at Mcarthy Ranch and one more in Dublin are the best Starbuck's cafes in the Bay Area. This one in Prunedale is the one I frequent most. The drinks always come out perfectly. I think it's just a great stop on the 101 to drink, go to the bathroom and load my twitter feed or news feed on my iPod Touch. Go check it out for yourself. It's right next door to Safeway so it makes it an even better stop if you need anything from there. read more

I live on a good cup of coffee, I enjoy making my own coffee at home but I also go to Starbucks because the baristas make my day go better!
