Worst Starbucks I have been to!!! the workers are on there phone, the don't great their customers especially through drive through, and some of the co-workers yell at other co-workers. It seems like the manager or who ever is in charge doesn't really do their job; takes advantage of their job position! So unprofessional of this Starbucks. The sandwich and egg whites that I ordered were cold. The preparation of the turkey bacon egg sandwich was out of place I had to put it in form and it was half frozen! The drive thru employees are rude they greet the customers and just hand our stuff and close their window. It's a great place to study. There is a lot of seating. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was hesitant to ask if they can redo my drink. I didn't want to be one of "those customers" or maybe have a staff that dislikes customers. But that wasn't the case here. They didn't give me any problems about redoing my order. Britney went out her way to check in if I liked my new drink and that they are happy to redo drinks (of course be nice when you ask. As an avid Starbucks goer, I can wholeheartedly say this is the worst store I have ever been to. I have been to this location several times throughout the years and this past year the service has just gone completely down the drain while the wait time has gone up drastically. The rare times I go in the morning, the staff is rude and cold while the usual evening staff always seem stressed and understaffed. More than a few times I have found myself waiting 30+ minutes for a simple white mocha. If I ever go through the drive through I have to wait at least 15 minutes in line before even ordering and then another 10-15 mins waiting for my drink. The inside of the store always seems to be a mess. It's hard to believe that there isn't some type of food safety violation going on back there. I talked to some of the evening staff because I couldn't understand why the sudden change to the atmosphere, and a few of the baristas made it clear that the problem was the new management, or lack of. The new manager seems to be selfish, only care about herself, and apparently only focuses her attention to the morning. Those poor baristas seem to be suffering, this is not how you treat your employee's! Staff better and do better, new manager!!! read more

I've gone here for 4 years and have never had a bad experience until today. I ordered my 2 drinks, a sandwich and a grilled cheese. I was excited to eat my grilled cheese when I noticed it had an odd taste to it almost sweet like vanilla syrup and I pulled it out of the bag and saw it had red staining on as if it had been toasted on something that had been toasted on it beforehand. I would say I am quite upset with this and would recommend that they pay closer attention to their cleaning routine. read more

This is a drive thru Starbucks, about 3 years old. Very nice decor and lots of roomy seating. This 1 star review is for the inside cashier. Today at 1:50pm I walked in and observed that this person while she stood in front if me taking my order -wiped her nose 3 times with the back of her hand and then Scratched inside her nose with her index finger. She finished taking my order and Then turned around and handed a man his food that had been warmed up. She never thought twice to wash her hands before she took that food in her hands. Where is the thought for your customer? Seriously- this is food service. People can get sick. Disgusting. Stay clear of this Starbucks until sanitary practices are the norm. read more

Just went here today and got two drinks. One a tall and the second a grande. I open the lids to find that they didn't even fill the cup up all the way. I am a frequent Starbucks patron and find that this particular branch and have found that this particular store does not make the drinks like other stores... in addition, the customer service is awful. I find the afternoon manager (male) is in desperate need of some customer service training. I order the same drink everyday and the day I visited was no different... when I got to the window my order was not correct ... instead of making the correction he chose to tell me "everyone wearing ear pieces heard you". When I asked to speak with a supervisor he stated that he was the supervisor... he was so rude and condescending. Not a good Starbucks location. Busy and every sit down restaurant in the area is open but somehow this Starbucks is still not allowing customers to use their bathroom. Not cool. Asked for a plastic reusable cold drink cup, they had them. Starbucks come a dime a dozen. It seems you will find at least one in every town. Whether it be in a Safeway or in it's own building. The challenge is not in locating a Starbucks, rather it is finding a Starbucks that provides good service. For the most part, this Starbucks has it right when it comes to customer service. However I find that the weekday, morning crew is usually the better crew when it comes to customer service mostly due to that is when you will find Ruth working here. Ruth will make a genuine effort to get to know you. Especially if you are a regular like me. It's a genuine niceness. Not forced due to obligation. When you are rushing to get to work in the morning it is always a plus to receive a friendly greeting. It just sets the tone for the rest of the day. Ruth once comped me a free beverage for waiting so long due to a difficult customer in front of me at the drive thru. She also anticipates your needs and I never have to ask for a drink stopper to prevent spillage of my latte or a cup sleeve to prevent my hands from burning. Everyone else I must ask for the drink stopper before they include it. The drink and food composition here is always spot on. Not once have I had a beverage made incorrectly or a pastry or food item not heated sufficiently and/or expired. Although the food Starbucks serves isn't that great (I find it can be overly salty and tastes pre-frozen and processed) but sometimes, when you are desperate, it will do in a pinch. I mostly use the drive thru and the exterior of the building is always clean and trash free with drought friendly plants. I've even spotted a bird feeder on a branch of a nearby tree alongside the drive thru path which goes to show that someone does take pride in the surroundings. It is inviting to both birds and humans alike. One of the major drawback's to this place is the line to the drive thru was not well thought out. I don't think that the parking lot and drive-thru were well thought out because there is a constant bottleneck. If you are in a hurry, plan on going somewhere else! Sometimes the line to the drive thru blocks up traffic. Between the traffic going to the Starbucks drive thru and the traffic going to the McDonald's drive thru, it can get quite hairy during peak times. Another huge negative when it comes to this Starbucks is the younger, weekend staff aren't as nice as the weekday staff. In fact they are downright RUDE! I remember one Sunday morning, on July 30, 2017, I made a request for a cup of ice and once the barista's back was turned to me she rolled her eyes to her coworker and thought I didn't see. Well I saw and although I didn't report it to management it has left a bad impression of the weekend crew. There have been other instances of rudeness from the weekend crew that I just may report one of these days. For example, I ordered soy to replace the milk and asked that they make sure to not include the whipped cream as well because I'm allergic to dairy. When my back was turned the barista made a sarcastic remark, "Sure you're allergic to dairy..." So you can see why I have pretty much stopped going here. In the meantime, when I'm craving Starbucks on the weekend, I usually go into the nearby Safeway for my beverage just to avoid the unfriendly weekend crew. The gals that work in the Safeway Starbucks in Prunedale are always nice and I'd rather give them my business and tips. Anyway, I highly recommend this Starbucks ONLY for the weekday, morning crew and only if Ruth is working. It would be just another Starbucks (subpar at times) if it weren't for Ruth. So be sure to ask for Ruth! read more

This Starbucks seems to be mostly a drive-through business - but inside is very spacious and tidy and clean. Service was excellent and staff were about as efficient as you might expect on a Saturday afternoon when 90 degree temperatures inspire people to sit in their air conditioned cars to wait for their frappuccinos. read more

Went in for two iced drinks. My husband went to use restroom while I placed the order. I stood at the register the entire time it took my husband to use restroom and not a single one of the six empoyees working even acknowledged I was there. Finally someone came from the back room and helped me. I ordered a venti iced vanilla latte and a venti vanilla bean creme. The iced latte was not flavored as ordered. It was simply a bitter iced coffee. The vanilla bean creme was somehow lost amongst them and had to be remade. At which time I used the restroom. Neither of the two stalls had toilet seat covers, the trash bins were full and the soap dispenser was virtually empty. I had to force the last bit of soap from it. When my drink was finally prepared, I thanked the barista only to be met with silence and the slamming down of my drink in front of me. read more

This is the first Starbucks reserve bar that I've been to. The decor is open, sparce and modern. Different feel from most Starbucks. Lost's of places to sit with plenty of power strips nearby if you need to work on a laptop or charge your phone. There are even a few chairs in the corner that you can relax and read in while you sip your coffee. The coffee is not great. If you are used to regular Starbucks coffee you might be impressed. If you are used to third wave coffee, you most certainly will not be. Service is good, not great, since there is also a drive through and they have a lot of competing priorities. I literally live less than a mile from the Salinas drive thru starbucks but this is the one I'd rather go to even if I'm a tad late to work. I believe Ruth is her name but anytime I have had her take my order she is always so friendly and has this good energy about her! I rarely get noticed as a customer but she made me feel like a regular because she recognized who I was through the drive thru speaker. I would get chocolate smoothies and she had informed me they were soon going to discontinue them. They're always so busy and she still manages to keep up her attitude! Slow! Stopped for coffee at 6:45 pm on our way to the airport in San Jose. Pastry case was COMPLETELY empty!! My husband asked if there were any pastries available and was told yes, but had to take them out of the case because they were closing SOON...When I asked her what time they closed (assuming she was going to say 7 since it was close to 7) we were told 9!!!!!
