One of my go to Starbucks in the evenings near home. Downside is they close at 8pm, so when the talks get good, we get shooed outside!

I haven't been to Starbucks in a long while now. I typically just make my own matcha latte at home, especially with how crazy expensive everything is these days. Well, I was out and about and got lured in by a $3 any handcrafted beverage deal. Ended up getting a matcha frappe via mobile order. The app originally said it would be a 3-6 minute wait, but after I placed the order, the wait time jumped to 8-13 minutes. What?? Whoa Anyway, I ended up waiting in store for longer. There was a whole crowd of mobile orders piling up at the pickup counter. When they called my name and placed my drink down, I was able to quickly grab it and go. Even though I'd just grabbed it, my drink was already melty. It wasn't even that warm out either, so I was a bit surprised. The drink itself was fine besides the meltiness. I probably still wouldn't get it at full price much, but a discounted treat here or there is nice. read more

I wish I could say I enjoyed this Starbucks. And if anything made me feel grateful for the ones close to home. The service was not nice, employees made me feel almost like i was an inconvenience at this store. They practically gave me pumpkin spice milk. The store was super empty when I had walked in to pick up my mobile order. I asked if this drink was my iced coffee with an extra shot (church days have us needing that energy). I probs won't visit this store again. I didn't feel too welcomed and when i asked if i could get an extra shot to my coffee they kinda just looked at me like not happy about me ordering at the register. Wanted to give a shout out to the morning staff. They went above and beyond for me and my mom today. Thank you! The new remodel of the staff makes it look so spacious and modern. Many tables and chairs are set up, if you're stopping by to get some studying in. Iguana is now taken over by Cali Spartan if you're hungry and need some munch. Starbucks also has snacks and meals if you need. Got an iced protein banana matcha latte to try for the first time. Thank you for the recommendation. Thought I would share this - even when the store gets really busy, it's important to keep up the great customer service. People come here for convenience and expect things to run smoothly. A little extra attention goes a long way in making customers happy and wanting to come back. I was disappointed with my first holiday drink order through the mobile app. I paid extra for protein cold foam, but the cup was mostly filled with milk and only had a small splash of foam on top. read more

We witnessed something really disheartening at this Starbucks. Someone came in to pick up an order they had called in ahead of time, and instead of trying to help, the staff dismissed and talked down to them. They insisted the order wasn't placed there or must've been for another store. The person clearly struggled with English. Apparently it was for a funeral. (They ended up having someone try to translate on the phone) The lack of empathy from the staff was honestly shocking. The manager ended up stepping in and refused him service. Why? Because he didn't speak english? Because they were busy? they could have easily stepped in to show some compassion, but instead made the person feel embarrassed and unwelcome. Is it that hard for this Starbucks to do their job and make drinks? He ended up saying he'll just pay for it then and there and they still refused him service. We were so uncomfortable watching it happen. There was absolutely no reason to treat anyone like that, especially someone grieving and just trying their best to communicate. If this had been my father, I would have cried. I will be letting my family and others know about this experience. We will not be coming back to this location. No one should have to feel disrespected or ignored just because of a language barrier. A little kindness would have meant everything. Disgusted by this Starbucks. read more

So sadddd writing this because our family has had so many amazing baristas at this location for years but I don't playyyyy about my dad ! My dad wanted to pre-order some Togo packs so he could pick them up early (mind you, he was on the way to a funeral service) so I called a week early to check. They told me to place the order the day before, which I did. When he arrived today, they said they didn't have his order which is totally ok because things happen. But because my dad doesn't speak full English, he put me on the phone with the staff. The woman I spoke with said I must have called the wrong number. I double-checked the number I called and told her it was the same number listed on Google, Apple Maps, and the store's app. My dad politely asked if they could still make the order, and they charged him so I thought everything was fine but then the supervisor, Diane or Diana, refused to complete it with no explanation to him (I assume because it was busy) Thankfully, we called San Felipe and they were so kind and made it for him within 10 minutes (shoutout to them!!), but he left this store feeling embarrassed and confused about what happened. It just broke my heart because he was already having such a difficult day, and this experience made it worse. I called back the exact number and the barista confirmed it was the Aborn location and the same supervisor. So I truly hope she can handle situations like this with more compassion and care, especially when language barriers are involved. read more

I hardly go this location. There are like maybe 3 various drinks I've ordered over the years while going there. There were 2 baristas and maybe a supervisor or manager on hand. Since I ordered my drink ahead of time from my house. I passed by next door to grab some pastries. So when I went to find my drink it wasn't there. I was hoping to ask the barista if my drink was ready. He looked at me twice but did not ask if I needed any help. Then after he helped a few customers, I spoke up and asked if my drink was ready. That was 15 minutes from my house and going to the store next door. He said it was coming right up. When he handed me my plain white Starbucks cup, sadly to say there were no holiday cheer. I'm just curious if the store ran out of venti holiday cups or just the cup he grabbed instead. I might sound so petty, but I was looking forward to a holiday cup since my drink was a holiday drink. Christmas at Starbucks is back!! Staff was super nice and patient as I asked them to blend a Chestnut Praline/Caramel Brulee iced latte! Next time I would blend Caramel Brulee and Toffee Nut Syrup, but this one was quite satisfying. There were a couple people there at first, but it quickly got busy after my mom ordered. We ended up waiting 30 minutes because my mom didn't know they stop brewing coffee after 11 am, so they made her a pour over. Very nice of them and we weren't in a rush! read more

They're nice and all but they don't blend their matcha with ice so it came out with all foam, had it remade and came out the same way. This one girl working on Thursday afternoon around 1pm. Everyone's matcha came out that way. Not gonna be all particular but it's such an expensive drink and the standard is to blend it with the ice so it's not foamed up (coming from a partner). And also asking for extra scoops means it should be darker. It was completely white. I make it all the time at mine comes out 3 shades darker than when this girl made it for us and remade it just as bad. Stop using shortcuts on people's expensive drinks, blend it with the ice. Most Starbucks I go to are willing to do a pour over light roast at this time but they weren't willing to do it here because they "don't have the staff for it". We went to the Starbucks at the Evergreen Pl location to order a venti iced caramel macchiato. The workers closed the drive thru and were no longer taking orders. We drove away and our drink tasted like crap. We decided to come to this location (Aborn, as we were closer to this location by the time we realized) to ask for caramel pumps for the drink to taste how it should. My boyfriend walked in to ask them for caramel pumps and the entire crew on floor hovered over, acted like he was robbing the place all for caramel pumps. He is a very shy person and crew could have been much nicer rather than being assholes. I thought Starbucks was suppose to help when drinks don't taste how they're suppose to? Regardless of the stores being 1 mile from each other, three little pumps of caramel will not kill you. Go fuck yourselves. Being kind isn't hard. read more

The few times I have gone to this location, it is always clean and the staff is literally always working on getting the drinks out in a timely manner. What made me write this review was the Barista/Cashier Denise! As soon as I walked in she had a smile on her face and she was so enthusiastic! She totally changed my mood! She was super sweet and made sure my order was correct before charging me. She literally made my day with her smile! The drinks were great and the hot sandwich I got was delicious! (Not to mention, she had double checked in the back to make sure we had it, instead of just telling me "we ran out") I really appreciated it! read more

I'm always grateful for a good latte and while Starbucks is the most ubiquitous place to go, I can still appreciate the consistency it gives me. I thought it was going to be the usual- a grande soy latte. I walked up and saw that they had a new flavor-- Pistachio. I was curious and when I asked the associate her thoughts on it, she said she wasn't a fan. It didn't stop me. I ordered it anyway and specifically asked for half the shots of sweetener. I've always been a fan of Pistachio ice cream so I was excited to try this in a latte.. When she handed me the cup, I could smell the sweetness of the pistachio and took my first sip. The pistachio flavor was pronounced and I loved it. While it's hard to describe the flavor of pistachio unless you try it, I will say that if you like the ice cream or nut then do yourself a favor and get this. read more

It's been a while since I last visited this location and decided to stop by before my morning commute for a coffee and the fact that I forgot to pack lunch. Not too much of a rush or crowd at 6 AM and got to order quickly. Ordered a Butter Croissant, Grande Hot Latte with Coconut Milk and a Turkey Havarti Sandwich. The cashier was upbeat, friendly and easy to talk to. It's pretty obvious to tell when employees are forced to fake this upbeat personality, but he seemed genuinely friendly. Order was made quickly and felt that my visit was much more pleasant based on this interaction. Later saw him opening the door for a woman with a walker which was really nice of him! I believe he had glasses and a mustache. Hard to recall since this was all before I had my coffee, haha! Nonetheless, what a great employee! The croissant was airy and buttery, not exactly flakey in any way and on the soft side. The latte was with coconut milk was delicious and needed no sugar, good flavor of coffee and hint of coconut from the milk and just the right temperature to not scald my tastebuds off. The sandwich was packed with protein (32 grams) with havarti cheese, turkey, arugula and aioli. The bread had nuts and seeds in it, though soft was a bit too crumbly for my liking and I found the sandwich to be too soft. Definitely, missing a textural component but it made me full and tasted okay. Would pass on the sandwich next time though. Glad to see this location has great service and is still quick and clean. Parking is close to the store and is plentiful. Will be making more trips to this location next time. read more

At afternoon this outlet is mostly crowded, so I make sure that I ordered ahead and wait for at least 15 minutes to get in. In the evening it's pretty quick. read more

There were just a few people in the store when we arrived on Election Day in the late afternoon. My daughter ordered a special Christmas drink and I asked for a decaf. The cashier said they stop brewing after 11 am, but can make a pour over, saying that it would be about a five minute wait. Even as more customers came in, I could see that the baristas were very good at working on my order. It just takes a lot longer than five minutes to make a venti pour over. Luckily, we were not in hurry. My daughter enjoyed her drink and I appreciate the effort that went into my coffee as well. read more
