By far my favorite Starbuck's. I go out of my way to go here. The manager is excellent! All employees are friendly, knowledgeable and fast! All the best drinks I've ordered have come from this location. Going through drive-thru is also a plus and the window attendant always go out of their way to make conversation and show appreciation to their customers. Now, considering its the half of week for frappuccinos for 3-5 I was expecting a long line and possibly a mix up in my order. Absolutely not! I come to this location a couple times when I'm passing by. From past times, the people nicer and polite, by saying hello and what not. I've gotten no hello when I walked in, all she was doing was, she was laughing. I understand, you guys are human beings and joke around via headset. But when customer is at present, set the jokes to the side and handle the situation. It is disrespectful to continue the jokes. Very helpful, friendly staff, that is fast and efficient without feeling rushed through. Our orders are always right on the money and up very quickly. They will even help carry drinks to your car if they run out of drink carriers (which only happened once but it was much appreciated). This Starbucks is located on the corner of Golf and Higgins Roads, in the little triangle on the southeast point where the two roads meet. As such, the parking lot is TINY, mostly filled with the employees' cars, so that you usually either have to park illegally or park in the neighboring businesses' lot. It seems to be frequented by soccer moms who have giant cars they are uncomfortable handling, which has resulted in a few interesting parking-related snafus, including an incident where a nervous woman instigated a rather boisterous verbal argument against a fellow customer because she didn't feel she had enough room to get her giant SUV out of its parking spot without hitting the car parked in an unmarked (but oft used) spot. She became so belligerent that the store offered her victim a free coffee and an apology. The line for the drive-thru is often spilling out onto the frontage road, and as a result the service here is very slow. Allow 15 minutes for your morning visit. The service is otherwise okay. Most of the people working here are friendly, but if you go inside it is pretty loud behind the counter so you may have to repeat your order two or three times. An odd quirk about this place is that no matter how I order my half-caffeinated/half-decaffeinated drink, I ALWAYS get corrected. If I say "half-caf" (which is how it's said everywhere else) the employee "corrects" me to "half-decaf". When I finally gave up and said "half-decaf" I was corrected to "half-caf"! It's happened six times at this location, and nowhere else. Can someone here please decide what you want me to call it?! Also, for some reason, "iced" keeps getting misheard as "low-fat". I don't get that one at all. I've been very spoiled by Caribou's mochas, as they use real chocolate but unfortunately they are no more in this area and until the new coffee shop opens up on Schaumburg Rd, I'm stuck with Starbucks. You can definitely taste the lack of quality in their drinks. The mochas taste slightly chalky (I'm guessing they use a powder?) and their iced drinks are half-filled with ice, meaning they're very watered down and are history in minutes. Starbucks is well known for that "burnt coffee" taste and this location is no exception to that. Every other coffee shop in the area (Caribou, Nordstrom's eBar, etc). has been better, but unfortunately Starbucks is the only one open for and on the way of my commute to work any more (though, on occasion, I'll treat myself and head up to the Caribou on Dundee Rd that is still open). Their breakfast sandwiches, however, are very good. I like the creativity and selection of their new bakery line that they just rolled out, but so far the actual taste hasn't really lived up to expectations (the croissant, by itself, was really yummy and buttery, but when combined with other flavors, like pumpkin cheesecake, it's bland and nearly tasteless). Bottom line: The parking and layout are terrible, the service is hampered by poor staff training and acoustics, the coffee is the worst in the area (not counting places like McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts), but they have convenient hours and location and their breakfast sandwiches are tasty. read more

This starbucks is one of the worst locations I have ever been to! Almost every time I go thru the drive thru they get my order wrong. At first I didn't even realize it until half way until I got to work, now I start checking immediately. One time the lady got my order wrong so they had me pull to the front to bring my correct order and they still gave me the wrong coffee! And I get very simple drinks from the menu with no changes. Not the closest location to me, but it's my favorite. Been coming here frequently over the years and they always get it right. My fave drink is a grande iced skinny caramel macchiato, and for some reason, it always tastes better here. They've never gotten it wrong, which is why I choose to drive a little bit further here rather than my neighborhood locations. This Starbuck's has a drive-through, which I use the majority of the time. It's a smaller location, limited indoor seating and parking, but it seems to have been built to function more as a drive-through, especially given its location on Golf/Higgins roads. In the warmer weather, they have a couple of tables out in the front too. Baristas are awesome, super-friendly, always get my order right, and service is quick. read more

I'm a daily Starbucks customer for years and used to go to this particular location daily when I lived over here. At that time service was great but it clearly has changed. Simply put, this was not good service. If you want more specifics, read on. In the drive thru I placed my order which was not repeated back. They hadn't even given a simple greeting such as hi how are you today? When I got to the window, again, I didn't get so much as a simple hello, and they didn't reply to me when I said it either. They took my payment and did ask if I wanted a stopper, which I accepted. While pulling out of the driveway I always check the sticker to ensure I had gotten the correct drink order and I had not. If they had repeated back the order that would have been caught early on and wouldn't be causing wasted time and aggravation. When going inside to have my drink remade correctly, just as a previous reviewer stated, I was not greeted upon entering the store - even when I walked directly up to an employee at the counter as she chatted with another employee, I was ignored. So I went and stood in line to inform them they didn't make my drink correctly. It was then remade and they did offer a dry apology but I didn't see a single employee smile the whole time I was in there. Look, I'm a restaurant manager and I tell my staff all the time, idc what you have going on at home, we all have tons of stuff going on but you leave that at the door. You are "on stage" when you're working: everyone is watching. What image do you want to project? You're smile is the most important part of your uniform. You want people to feel good when they come in to your place so they want to come back. You don't want to make people anxious to get out of there, that's not good for business. And I've been to this location several times, it has never been that bad - the guy at the window must be new because I haven't seen him before and he took his sweet time with returning items such as my phone to scan, then turning to get one sandwich and handing it to me, then turning and picking up my drink which was sitting there since I initially handed him my phone. This is my go to Starbucks. Right down the street from my house. I'm not worried about getting in the drive thru line that's 12 cars long because it always moves along at a steady pace. The people are usually quite friendly. My only complaint is that my order has been messed up once or twice and any time I order a food item it's almost always all thrown together and falling apart. This is the worse Starbucks I have been to. There is no parking because the employees take all the parking spots. There is a police officer waiting across the street to give a $250.00 ticket if you park in the handicap spot even if you pull in for a minute and someone is waiting in the car. Only go to the drive thru. Sometimes if it's busy there's about 7 cars in line and takes about 15 minutes to get your coffee. Make sure it's done right because they have messed up quite a few times. I normally go to a different Starbucks but decided to stop at this one on my way from work. I went through the drive thru and before receiving my drink she said how it overflowed a little and I watched her dab the top of the lid with a napkin. She then proceeded to hand it to me and I got coffee all over my hand and the lid was full of coffee (A new lid would had been more effective than dabbing the top). I then had to ask for napkins and I told her it was still spilling over the top but she didn't respond to my comment. Because of this, it then spilled coffee drops all over my car since the cup and lid were covered in coffee. Very annoyed and won't go back to that location. read more

This is by far the WORST Starbucks location ever! So bad that I finally stopped going to this location which is walking distance almost from my home. Lets start with the location its tiny with a very poor parking lot set up. I almost witness every single time I go someone getting hit. In the morning like others have said the line is super long and you will sit there for 15 min... I think this is the Starbucks "reject" location where they send all the people who cant cut it in the real Starbucks world. They get your order wrong 90% of th time and on top of that have horrible attitudes and NO customer service. The final straw was last week... I ordered a venti, iced vanilla latte with soy milk. I waited in line for 15 min paid $6.50 for it I drive off in a rush to get to work and as I merge on to the highway I take a big gulp of my drink to find that they forgot the espresso! All I had was a venti full of soy milk and vanilla syrup. How do you forget the espresso? Seriously this is a coffee shop not mc donalds! LOL How do you forget it ?!? I actually called I was so upset and they offered a free one the next morning. So the next morning I wait in line for 15 min again and order a venti iced coffee with cream and clasic syrup. I get up to the window and let the woman know I have a free one because they screwed up yesterday shes so confused she literally doesnt say a word and tossed my drink at me.. thanks! I drive away and again take a nice big gulp of my drink and bam no cream or syrup. Super upset at this point. How do you screw up two days in a row? I went there today around 2 o'clock - went through the drive thru. It didn't seem that busy, ordered my ginger bread latte and waited behind one car for about 7-9 minutes. It took longer then expected, but it didn't bother me since I'm a very patient person. Finally I rolled up to the window and the guy tells me my drink is on them, and that they are sorry for the wait. I was surprised, since I didn't mind the wait and thanked them. After giving up on McDonalds I decided to try out Starbucks as my new morning wakeup call. I like to go inside versus the drive-thru. It's very fast at my usual 6am time. This first trip was very satisfying. The sandwich was as tasty as McDonalds used to be, and the coffee is strong, not watery. The employee behind the counter was friendly and greeted me on entry and even took the time to explain the morning menu in detail for me. He even complimented me on a special pin I was wearing on my jacket. Best of all: he spoke flawless English. Everything was clean. Definitely a winner for me. I'll be back. read more

I have been coming to this location since it opened, and they are still unbeatable in the area in terms of customer service. I can always trust them to move fast with drive thru orders, and the people who work here are always super friendly and easy to talk to. In my hundreds of visits to this location I can't recall one time that my order was incorrect. The only negative about this place is by no means a reflection of the employees: the super limited parking. I generally go to a different Starbucks however I will be making this my go to store! I was in the drive up and my debit card was declined (my bank put a freeze on it due to suspected fraud) I was shocked I was told it was declined and I started to look for another card. The awesome Starbucks team member saw I was a little frazzled and said this coffee was "on her" and she took care of the charge. I was amazed she would be so generous! I don't think she understands what that meant to me as I was already having a rough morning with my 3 toddlers who were just "being toddlers"!
