This location does not use plastic, they use all paper products, paper cups, paper lids and paper sticker heat stoppers. The paper sticker heat stoppers leave paper stuck all over the hole in the lid, after drinking your first sip the paper near the hole starts to fall apart and feels disgusting against your lips, the lid is stained with the color of your drink. If you are wearing lipgloss or lipstick it gets on the paper lid and you cannot wipe it off. It's so gross to look at. The cold drinks also come in paper cups so you can't see what your drink looks like. I'm for saving the environment but I cannot stand all the paper this location uses. read more

It was my first time at this location and we came here after the gym from across the street. I ordered the blueberry sage refresher and it tastes just as expected. I just wanted to take some time to thank the staff of this Temple City Starbucks for their help this morning. My husband, dog, and I stopped it for our Sunday morning coffee, and while sitting at their patio facing the corner of Las Tunas and Rosemead, my husband and I witnessed a cat getting run over by a car on the east bound right turn lane of Las Tunas turning on to southbound Rosemead Blvd. The driver of the car did not stop to assist. I immediately went inside Starbucks to ask for a towel and some gloves explaining what had happened and they didn't hesitate to give me what I needed. My husband and I crossed the street - where we met a nice lady who was on a motorcycle - who also witnessed the accident and stopped to help the cat that was still in the lanes - but it was too late. The cat passed and stopped breathing. My husband moved the cat from the street on to the sidewalk between the plants to keep it safe from further harm, while the motorcycle lady (TYSM!) stood watch to make sure that my husband was safe in traffic (I was with our dog). We called animal control afterwards to report the incident. Without the help of the wonderful Starbucks crew, we wouldn't have been able to help the poor cat. It takes a lot of compassion and empathy to provide help without hesitation. Aside from the delicious drinks and great service, this team also has great heart! very nice small place. the workers are overall nice and polite though there are only one or two on average. not like you could fit more than that in the tiny counter they have back there. the drinks are regular overpriced starbucks drinks. my one big nitpick is that they don't support online orders. seriously? in this age of technology? this leaves them a bit empty of customers, except even when there's three other patrons, the drinks end up taking +5 minutes to come out and the line takes an extra 5! read more

I come to this Starbucks after dim sum at a place nearby. It's usually busy when I come in, so I always order via the app since I prefer to grab and go. A few times before it wasn't great, when busy and you grab your drink they were too busy to get you a straw. But when they have the chance to help they're nice about it. I'm giving it five stars now because the straws are now accessible to us, no need to stand there and awkwardly make a busy barista give you a straw! My drinks were always made right too. I was driving by on 09/03/24 at 9pm. Decided to stop by and get my favorite matcha latte there. I don't even know why I didn't get it at my usual location on San Gabriel where people working there are more caring. Not only it was 50c more expensive for the same drink, but also was not filed up to and a lot of space left for whatever reason at the top. I only realized it when I drove away. It was missing about 20% from the top. Kind of disappointing. Lesson learned- never will return here. read more

Recent absurd changes in their policies at this location is why I feel compelled to leave this review, and why I'm never coming back here, on principle, even though there's some cool and nice workers here (shout out to the Asian baristas who always treated me well, sorry I forgot your names). Yesterday, I came in, really needing to use the restroom. I went straight to asking what the code was, and was met with a "did you purchase anything?" I was a little thrown off, because I had been here many times and this was the first time hearing this. So I replied "uh, no, not yet." To which the cool Asian barista wisely replied "oh, the restroom is for customers only. uh whatever, the code is #####". THANK YOU, seriously. After I used the restroom I went back to the lobby and bought a drink, and tipped him a dollar cuz he was cool. Today, I came in, thirsty. Asked for a cup of water. A different barista flatly asked "Have you purchased anything?" I replied no. "Oh it's only for customers." I replied, "... water?" He repeated what he said. I said "alright, I'll think about it" and went to sit down. No water, obviously. Kid you not, like 5 seconds after sitting down and opening my laptop the same dude tells me from across the counter "oh the lobby is also for customers only." I incredulously replied "oh, really" packed my stuff, left, and here we are at this yelp review. I don't support businesses that make me feel I'm just a fucking dollar to them, and neither should you. It's probably management's fault, and that sucks cuz the vibe here used to be chill. I came inside expecting an amazing experience when i walked in we got to the cashier there was a buy one get one and i had asked him if we can use it and explained we cant since it isnt there if there isnt a code since he never seen it even though starbucks was promoting it. i asked for our drink and he was being rude. My buddy then had asked if she can cancel the order and have our other buddy pay for hers when he then said what do you mean by that in a rude tone. We walked away because of the way he was. What's up: In the mood to grab a drink at Starbucks. One of my go to drinks is the Iced Matcha Lemonade. I like Matcha and that bit of tang from the lemonade makes it yummy! Parking: Located in the Elm Center Shopping Center, parking can be tough. There are so many businesses in this area, it makes it hard to find a free spot. Had to circle around a bit before I was able to find one. Environment: Masks are required. I had placed a mobile order ahead of time so my drink was ready when I arrived. The pick up area is located towards the right of the counter and clearly marked. The place was busy so I was glad I placed a my order ahead of time. I went in, grabbed my drink, and left quickly. What was ordered: - Iced Matcha Lemonade (usually a good drink, but I found an extra something. Looks like a fruit and it started leaving a red streak in my drink) Yay/Nay/Meh: Meh. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is big, but they share the lot with several other establishments. So, the parking lot does get full very easily and quickly. Drink: I ordered a matcha frap. This drink really hits the spot in any season. Earthy matcha blends perfectly with your favorite milk (oat milk and coconut milk are popular substitutions for classic cow's milk). Top it off with decadent whipped cream and even a few chocolate curls for a not-too-sweet treat! Staff: The staff here are very friendly and efficient. They accept both cash and credit cards. I usually put i my mobile order and my drink will be ready within 10 minutes. Very fast service and staffs are very friendly. The shop is always clean and neat with tables/seats. The customer service level for this location has been going down, and down for a very long time. It appears that management at this location doesn't seem to care about customers. I remember when this location first opened, I used to come in and was always greeted with a smile and pleasant greetings. I don't normally review stores like Starbucks, but I've been coming to this location a lot after picking up a job nearby so I figured I probably should. The store is clean, the restrooms are clean(unlike the TJMAXX nearby), and my order is almost always done on time when I do mobile ordering. The staff is great, super friendly, and always have smiles on their faces; some even still take the time to greet me personally and make small talk even when they're super busy with orders. This Starbucks is located in a big plaza that has plenty of parking spaces. I got the purple mango dragon fruit and strawberry açaí refresher. Service was very fast. Staff was friendly. The drinks were amazing (not too sweet or watery), and they were made exactly how I like them. They straightly follows the covid protocol. After driving around the Los Angeles Basin getting photos of some landmark things I wanted, I spotted this Starbucks across the street from where I was. Score--no need to use the app! Parking was another matter. Most of the spaces at the entrance are for compact cars only. My car became compact in a flash and I got the last spot and there was plenty of room on both sides and in back. I ordered my standard drink--4 shots of espresso over ice in a venti cup. The wait time was normal and I soon had my drink, was back in my car, and surrendering my parking space to a very happy driver. The staff was pleasant and efficient--pretty much the way I find most Starbucks' employees. The interior was clean.
