Today was one of the hardest days I've had to face. It was my sweet dog's last day before she is euthanized, and I wanted to do one simple, special thing for her--a Starbucks pup cup and a cup of water. Those were the only items I ordered. Instead of a little compassion, the employee at the register told me that she would do it "this time," but next time I would need to make a purchase if I was only ordering a pup cup and water. I understand that businesses have policies, but there is a way to communicate them with kindness and empathy. Given the circumstances, her tone and demeanor made an already heartbreaking day even more painful. This wasn't about the cost of a pup cup or a cup of water. It was about basic human compassion. For a company that has built its brand around community and customer experience, I left feeling disappointed and saddened. The team here is always polite and the service is quick, so no complaints there. The only ongoing issue is that they just can't seem to get my name right. I tell them "Albert" every time, and I've gotten everything from Almo to Patric to Wilber written on my cup. This a newer Starbucks with a nice, big bright area for seating, also there is some patio seating if you want to sit outside. It's never too busy, so you can always find a place to sit. Staff is always friendly and they are on top of making the drinks, so you never have to wait too long. It also has a drive-thru that is so convenient. Great for days when I don't have time to go in. So basically the inexperienced person who messed up our first drink was also tasked with making our drink correctly and failed to do so second time. I showed up a minute before closing, on my way home from working a stressful 15-hour day. I had 40 minutes to drive before getting home and need something to help keep me awake, as I was starting to doze behind the wheel. I was expecting to be greeted by people who wanted to lock up and go home without having to clean the blender again (since I wanted a Frappuccino) and was met instead by a joyful young woman who welcomed me warmly and was eager to serve me. As she started making my Frappuccino one of her colleagues came out from the back to ask about my day and see if he could get me anything else. Both associates were cheerful, outgoing and friendly. They not only gave me a great end to a super-busy and anxiety-filled day, but they also bolstered my confidence in the future of our nation. With young people like these two we'll be in great shape. One thing I love about SB is how friendly the team members always are. I love them. That being said, this kind of thing really irks me & it's happened many times... So this is yet-another Starbucks that I go to...anyone who knows me Starbucks is my one true love. Yes, I do love their teas, caramel Apple Spice and eeeven a hot chocolate now and then. This Starbucks settles in next to The Bed, Bath & Beyond in Westlake Village, CA. It's a smaller store, but the people are nice behind the counter, they always smile and your drink gets out pretty quick. The nice part about this location....it's central to a lot of good stores in the area, and great shopping all around. My favorite though....the great patio outside. It's got a covered pergola filled with waiver vines and Bougainvillea. It's a nice spot to sit outside and chat with friends. Bathrooms are always clean and the neighborhood regulars are nice. We stopped by Monday evening just before 8 PM. Didn't realized that they closed at 8:30, vs. 9:00, but it worked out okay. When I was posting the photos, I learned that there's also a Starbucks on Russell Ranch Road in Westlake, of which I was not aware. Thus we ended up driving by the other one to get to this one as we'd been at Michael's in Westlake. They've changed out their menu boards to wintry selections, versus holiday ones. Took a while to read up on what is new seasonally. I tried the smoked butterscotch latte. It was an experiment, as I thought the smoked flavor might be bitter, but it wasn't at all. It's a taste that does go with the cooler weather. The store itself is on the smaller side. There are a few tables at table height to the left as you enter, and some bar-height tables along the right wall. They offer a variety of baked goods and some savory food choices, as well. They were changing out the display for the evening, so not all were visible. Banana nut bread slice was moist and delicious. The dark blue subway tile backdrop to the main ordering / display / drink creation area initially struck me as dated. Then I appreciated how rich a color it is at night with the overhead lights shining on it. This isn't the most up to date of any locations' decor, but it suits the cozy taste. In warmer weather, there are a number of tables out front. Free WiFi, of course. Some of the tables have the wireless charging pads for smartphones, which is nice, though they don't charge at a rapid speed. The two team members were friendly and efficient in taking and preparing our orders. When it was close to closing time, one politely gave us a heads up ahead of time. As it was an off hour, we scored parking right in front. They are closely sandwiched between Yogurtland and Sharkey's, so at times a hike to the outer parts of the parking lot might be required. read more

The staff at this location is over the top AMAZING! Friendly, go out of their way, fast and very helpful! I called with an order of 23 drinks, Angel took the order over the phone and was friendly and quick to help us. When arrived to pick up the drinks, most were completed and Kellee checked us out with a smile. All the drinks were correct and included names on all drinks. I've been coming to this location since 2008. I like the #Starbucks franchise. Their coffee's and pastrie's are always consistent no matter which location that I go. This is located in a plaza, on the corner of Thousand Oaks Blvd. & Westlake Blvd. They are next to Sharky's restaurant. It's a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating but everything is limited and can be full of patrons. A lot of people come here to work or study because all locations have free WiFi. The cafe is usually clean and organized with the pastry cases full and their refrigerated snack area is stocked with pre-packaged meals and miscellaneous drinks. They have a single, unisex bathroom and the few times that I have used it, it has been clean. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and efficient staff. Over the years, there were 1-2 people that I found unprofessional so I stopped coming to this location. Recently, I haven't seen them so I'm assuming that they moved on. My drinks have been made correctly and in a timely manner. I usually don't camp out at Starbucks, but I was getting my car serviced just down the road and had tons of work to do, so it seemed like the right place to go. The employees were very kind and the products were very consistent to most other Starbucks, so no surprise there. The tables and chairs area is fairly small but I snagged a prime spot. I do like how each table has outlets very near it, making it easy to plug in all your electronics! The one thing that surprised me was the WiFi situation. When I tried to connect, I didn't see a Starbucks WiFi network, which was the whole reason I went there in the first place. Luckily, there is a Bev-Mo right next door and I was able to connect to theirs. The place stayed relatively busy the whole 2.5 hours I was there. When I say best, I'm taking many things into consideration such as service, drinks, location, parking, and staff! I've been here many times and it never disappointed me. The drinks are always tasty and consistent, the baristas are efficient, friendly, and nice. The seating options are great. Great customer service, but place is dirty. Any time of the day, garbage cans are overflowing inside and out. Bird poop and cigarette butts all over entrance (periodic pressure washing would solve this), and dirty floors and tables. Well, this location is your typical Starbucks. The employees always treat me nicely. Yes, the lines can get long as well as the waiting time, but hey, it's Starbucks. Are you that surprised? There is always plenty of parking no matter when you go. So far, I've enjoyed every drink I have ordered here. I have yet to try any food items.
