This Starbucks seems to be a training store as everybody is new and cant make a drink right! Of course that is when they are actually in the front of the store instead of in the back. Lately I come in the store and nobody is around. I called out hello and an employee will come out from the back chewing something in their mouth. My boyfriend and I stopped here on a Friday morning on our way up North. The space itself is quite small, there are a couple of tables inside, but there's also outside seating. The line was pretty long for it being ~7 AM, but it did go by pretty fast. Staff was friendly, and was able to get through my order quickly and efficiently. I asked for extra caramel in my caramel macchiato, and they delivered! I hate it when the my cup says "Extra Caramel" and it comes out as a normal caramel macchiato. read more

If you are of any kind of minority descent-- A) you should probably not be in Westlake Village and B) you should definitely not be buying coffee at this Starbucks. I got stuck working in Westlake Village and showed up to this fine establishment (note the sarcasm) not once but twice on back to back days and of course lucky me (again sarcasm) gets served by the same crabby blonde hipster wannabe but not really Employee (yup sarcasm again because I consider "employees" people who get paid to service Customers). The first visit goes like this: no line, no Customers, no greeting from this blonde Employee, no eye contact, takes my money. I barely am able to get my coffee and in response to my "thank you" I get nothing. Fine she either hates my guts (which I understand I've done retail before) or she's got Aspergers or something. Second visit: packed as all hell. I wait patiently. She greets all the other Customers with a "Hello, can I help you? and "thank you" after she serves them coffee. Me-- nothing. I don't even get my coffee. I have to wait and bug another Employee to get my drink. Now I realize this woman must really hate me until I look around and notice all the other Customers she serviced so professionally are... black (sarcasm again-- c'mon this is Westlake Village, they were all white) so this got me thinking... Now I'm not one to bring up the 'R' word but strangely enough as I wait for my coffee to be served to me by another Employee, my favorite blonde Employee (okay last sarcastic statement) treats a black Customer the same way she treated me. So all I can say is... I emailed corporate and never heard a response... And my cold drip coffee kinda sucked. Screw you Starbucks! read more

This Starbucks gets five stars for the fact they bag their used grounds, expresso and drip, into five pound foil bags for anyone to take home and use in their garden or compost pile. Also, really creepy group of older guys sit there in the morning, gawking and cat calling women as they walk in. I usually come in the morning around 8AM before work. It gets packed but the staff is really quick, and reliable, and there's a lot of them! I order the breakfast sandwiches and the food usually comes out faster than the drinks. Even though there's a lot of people, the workers are loud enough so I can hear my name pretty clearly to get my order. So far, I have not been disappointed by the prepared drinks and the food. I did notice there's this one customer who always goes there in the morning with his dog, so adorable!!! read more

Just started a new job in Westlake Village, so my new daily Starbucks fix occurs here every M-F before work and I like this particular location, despite the annoying parking lot where I have to make a left and then another left (from the freeway) to enter (both with longggg arse signals). Anyway, a quick warning that this location gets pretty busy whenever I'm in there but I guess that's to be expected of any Starbucks. The employees all seem to like their jobs and are always very nice and helpful. Today the barista was singing Christmas carols and seemed very much to be in the holiday spirit. Always a pleasant experience to my grumpy, pre-caffeinated morning self. read more

This has been my Starbucks since I bought my condo down the road a few years ago. It's in a super convenient location as it's on the way to the Westlake 101 entrance. The employees are generally the same employees that were here when I started coming here, so it's great to see familiar faces everyday and they always remember my name and my drink order! Be prepared for Warrior Wednesdays, especially when school first starts up in the fall. They give a discount to Westlake High School students, so the lines are SUPER long. read more

So great that they let me in on an amazing fact about Starbucks and here's how it went: I was sitting here for a while, inside the cafe, as a freezing chill shook me out of my web browsing. I asked my neighbor in the adjustable table 'are we sitting in a huge refrigerator? it is winter now, aren't they confused running the a/c?' I went up to the counter and told them we are freezing under streams of cold air blowing from above. The employee told me 'We can not do anything about it, it's controlled from the corporate level. It's based on how many people are in the cafe. Sometimes there is no one here and we are freezing ourselves'. Standing there as if I swallowed my tongue I couldn't describe my surprise from this idiocy cut out from an apocalyptic science fiction movie. She said 'I am sorry' and I replied 'you don't need to be sorry, you're in this with us and have nothing to do about it' Hypothermia is a condition that sneaks on you. It is not like other dangers that chase you away. This stupidity of remote climate control could end up in injury to us and major personal liability for Starbucks. I write it here because as another visitor here said: if you complain hey will throw money at you to shut you up. The employees said there are 2 thermometers, but both are at the kitchen which is on the other side of the shop and show 70 degrees. Corporate technicians arrive twice a month to 'calibrate' ??? Calibrate what exactly?... we are freezing at 35-40 degrees at the shop's front. They gave me the corporate customer service number, I dialed it, got the right option, waited, been answered by a customer rep that couldn't hear me. Had the best customer service from Angie at this Starbucks location! She went out of her way to be kind and helpful during my visit. Angie had an outstanding attitude and during a time like this, it really means a lot to interact with friendly people! When I returned to the same location the following week, I was met with the outstanding customer service from Savannah as well! Yes, it's Starbucks, but the employees at this location go out of their way. They regularly wipe the outside tables and the doors, and they greet me by name. I only get drip coffee, and it's very good. During Covid, they add any cream and sugar. Plastic separates the cashier from the customer. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how great the customer service is at this location. Everyone was very friendly, despite being so busy. There was an employee constantly cleaning and even offering to take trash from tables. I even saw the owner/manager pitching in. Aside from the regularities you'll experience in all SB locations, this one has great employees. Very friendly and fast service makes this place stand out. Starbucks use to take care of their customers but lately they suck. Today I tried to order 3 different teas, they were out of all of them and they weren't even apologetic about it. The coffee and atmosphere is just like any other Starbucks but the staff at the location are ridiculously unprofessional. I was trying to study in this location when a young woman with medium blonde hair started yelling across the Starbucks to her coworker with white blonde hair about their coworkers poor behavior (how ironic) this continued for a while even while customers were ordering and many people were trying to study.
