I've been to Sadelle's in NY and Vegas and was never really impressed. I gave this localish to me location a try and was pleasantly surprised. We tried a few things including egg salad, white fish salad, caesar salad wrap, side of pickles. Everything was good (except the bagels AND they were out of sesame). The wrap was perfect but very overpriced. Service was just ok. If the price point was slightly more reasonable for what they're serving, I'd be back more often. GORGEOUS space in the middle of Highland Park Village. Parking is easy and I was lucky to find an open spot close by. The village shopping center is a vibe all on its own. I miss living in the city ... the trees are my favorite part by far. Sadelle's has figured the decor out! It's truly so beautiful inside; it feels like an escape. The food: honestly it was just fine. It's so beautiful inside and all the food options are standard and definitely order worthy. However, I am 1000% knocking off stars for 3 reasons : 1. Overpriced food 2. Patronizing server 3. Missed order item It was a tad loud, but when my server asked me a question I had to ask for her to repeat herself because I couldn't hear. In a very annoyed voice she asked louder "it's the RED caviar or the BLACK one" assuming I didn't know the difference in caviar. It was mildly insulting, but I let it go. Then the dish never came! Our driver for the day brought us here when I asked for a place to have coffee before my flight out of Love Field. I just wanted the quick bite option. It's good that they have the counter in back. It gave me exactly what I needed. It turns out the Best Friend breakfast taco was exactly what I needed. It's a good choice for a dose of protein in the day. No complaints. I've been coming to Sadelle's regularly, both on my own and with friends or clients, since 2021. Unfortunately, over the past year, I've noticed a significant decline in the level of service. At Sadelle's price point, service should be just as exceptional as the atmosphere. When you're spending $20 on a matcha and a pastry, the experience should reflect that. I stopped in around 2:50 p.m. and ordered an iced matcha. I also asked whether breakfast sandwiches were still available. The cashier told me they had run out of bread, which was completely understandable. I ordered a breakfast taco instead and waited downstairs in the coffee area for about seven minutes. During that time, one employee was making drinks while two others were looking at photos on a phone. I asked where the taco would be delivered and was told it would be brought to the downstairs counter. After waiting about 20 minutes, I returned downstairs to check because nearly 30 minutes seemed unusually long for a grab and go item. I was met with a dismissive response: "Yes, it'll be down here when it's ready and we'll call your name." I went back upstairs to work and returned again around 3:45. That's when another employee said, "Oh, there's a taco that's been sitting here for a while. We called out 'taco.' It's been sitting here for a while. Do you still want it?" No one had called my name, and no one took the few seconds it would have taken to let me know my order was ready. When I asked about remaking it, I was told, "Our kitchen is closing, so we can't remake this. Do you want it or not?" The interaction was curt, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic hospitality or empathy. The assistant manager was kind enough to refund me and did what he could to offer me a baked good but at the end of the day, why are such small service tasks falling to the wayside? Standard of service should be consistent throughout the restaurant...it's such a shame. It's disappointing because I genuinely loved this location. I've worked remotely here, brought clients for lunch, and hosted countless brunches with friends. Today, the service and, increasingly, the food no longer justify the premium prices or live up to the beautiful space Sadelle's has created. read more

This place was so cute inside. The chandeliers and decor are very trendy and fun. It's also located in a shopping area right next to a lot of nice shops. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. When our drinks were low, she was on top of it, filling them up before we had to ask. Food was good. I got the breakfast sandwich but I subbed the regular bread for an everything bagel. I felt like it needed some hot sauce. Thankfully, the waitress was able to get some for me and bring it to the table. The only thing I would change is to add more lunch items to the menu. Came in for brunch today around 1:30. The restaurant wasn't very busy, and the hostess seated me immediately. I sat for about eight minutes until my friend arrived, and then we waited another five minutes before I finally had to flag someone down just to get some water and be greeted. Shortly after that, our actual server came over, and we were finally able to place our order. The food was okay--nothing to write home about. The fries were honestly the only thing I would come back for. I was about three-quarters of the way through my sandwich before I was finally able to get the server's attention again to ask for more sauce. When we were ready to pay, we once again had to flag him down. The most uncomfortable part of the experience was when it came time to pay. The server held the payment terminal and watched us select our tip. As someone who works in the service industry, I'm never going to not tip someone, but as a server myself, I would never stand there and watch a guest choose their tip. Enjoyed a pre-fixed menu for Galentine's. The environment was a low light, date night scene. The waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and polite. The food received mixed reviews. The onion rings was really delicious. However the onions was sliced so thin it was mostly batter, 3 stars. The salmon wasn't on the menu, yet they was nice to accommodate the substitute, 5 stars. The steak was good. However the orders wasn't prepared as requested and given to the wrong individuals when placed on table. Sadelle's definitely delivers on presentation and execution, but the Eggs Benedict was a mixed experience for me. The poached eggs were perfect and the hollandaise was genuinely delicious -- rich, smooth, and well-balanced without overpowering the dish. My only real issue was the bread choice. They use brioche instead of a traditional English muffin, and for me that was more meh than memorable. The sweetness and softness of the brioche took away from the classic savory balance I expect from a Benedict. It wasn't bad, just not the direction I personally wanted. Overall, great quality ingredients and a polished brunch spot, but I'd love this dish a lot more with a more traditional base. read more

This location is in serious need of renovations. The backs of the chairs were visibly dirty, the furniture was worn down, the décor felt outdated, and the restaurant itself was warm and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the guest seated next to us had her sneakers on the booth seat, and no one addressed it. We also watched a family of five be squeezed into a table meant for four because sections were being closed even though the restaurant still had about an hour and a half before closing. Overall, the experience was disappointing from both a cleanliness and customer service standpoint. My husband and I will not be returning to this location. Management should take a page from the Las Vegas locations, which consistently provide a much cleaner, more polished, and welcoming dining experience. read more

Sadelles offers brunch and dinner menus and there is also a cafe off to the side if you are looking for something to go. The vibe of the place is very much you would take your girlfriends too. The decor is very bright colors with plenty of natural light coming in. We got a half dozen oysters and a salad. The salad is a very big portion and can definitely be split between two people. Just a frustrating experience at Sadelles today. Reservations were available but we figured we were close enough to just walk in. Told an hour wait which is fine for a Saturday, so we went to the cafe instead. Staff just could not get our order correct. We ordered two fish bagels off the full menu, they did not give us the fixings (tomato, onion, etc.) and when we went back to ask for it they only gave us enough for one after claiming we ordered something different from the cafe menu. Salmon bagel was tough as well, but the everything with whitefish was good and so was the coffee at least. They forgot my water as well. For $100 in a cafe I just would've expected more. read more

Some days they are very busy and there can be a wait so I highly recommend making a reservation. I usually order the lox bagel tower, a mimosa or glass of champagne, coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Everything is always so good and fresh. I've been coming since they opened years ago and have noticed recently the seats are peeling, cracked and the menus are stained. The place could use a little refreshing now. Sadelle's has a really nice setup. There's a small café area and then the main dining room, which feels elegant without being stuffy. The vibe is on point, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I went with the Eggs Benedict with Ham, the blueberry pancakes, and a matcha latte. The Benedict was solid--the brioche was light and airy with a good crunch, and the egg was poached just right, runny yolk and all. The hollandaise had the right texture, but honestly, the whole plate wasn't as hot as I would've liked, which made it a little underwhelming. The pancakes, though, were on another level. Three big, fluffy pancakes loaded with fresh blueberries. The texture was spot on--soft but not soggy, with just the right amount of bite. I usually prefer plain pancakes, but these completely changed my mind. Easily the best dish of the meal, and I'd recommend them without hesitation. The one thing I wouldn't order again is the matcha latte. It was way too milky and didn't really taste like matcha at all, which was disappointing if you actually enjoy a good quality matcha flavor. read more

I was killing some time before my flight, and since I'm a huge fan of Sadelle's in Las Vegas (I know the original is from NY, but haven't been to that location yet!), I thought this would be a fun experience. My first impression was that the layout seemed kind of strange as the upstairs seating seemed a little kitschy and not as fitting of the rest of the design. However, I still enjoyed most of the decor and main restaurant! The cafe area itself was also cute on its own. The hostess greeted me with haste and coldness, but once I sat down, the waiter was very kind and explained everything I needed to know. I ordered the house Salmon with rye bread. The salmon was doused in the most flavorful way and the rye bread was toasted to perfection!! It seems like a very small portion, but it actually was perfect for me as I didn't want to be too full for my flight. For anyone else, I'd consider adding an appetizer, but overall, it's a very involved meal and meant to be enjoyed and savored. read more

Went with my cousin in New York and fell in love with the French toast so I had to revisit in Dallas. Went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and had a wonderful time. Very open concept and even has patio for those wonderful spring days. Our server was super nice and helpful with all the questions that we had about the menu. We started with the mimosas and you can tell that the orange juice was fresh squeezed, it added a very nice touch. To eat we got the French toast, breakfast tacos and the healthy egg sandwich. French toast is my favorite breakfast food and I don't know if I've had a better one than Saddle's. It's crispy on the outside but so soft and flaky on the inside. For an item as basic as breakfast tacos, they were super flavorful. My friend really enjoyed the egg sandwich, she summed it up as an omelette on toast. We also ordered a drink that was described and strawberry and Champagne, but it tasted like nothing more than Champagne and while I'm never complaining about that, I was expecting more. Came in for a girls brunch and I don't think I will be going back. The experience was very disappointing. We were seated inside next to a table that had a dog who was constantly barking begging his owner for bites of food. When our food came out there was a piece of gum wrapped up in a sugar packet floating in our maple syrup for our French toast. They did give us another plate of French toast but it took about 10-15 minutes to come out and the staff didn't seem that bothered by the grossness of the situation.
