First time driving through this cute coffee place. I ordered a blueberry pomegranate smoothie with oat milk because when I inquired about the base they use I was told that they use ice cream. I did not ask if they had yogurt. The customer service was outstanding! As far as the smoothie the espresso bean they put on top of it was as a cute touch. The smoothie tasted like whatever oatmilk they use is watery. The pomegranate and blueberry was underwhelming. The whip cream was delicious and I'm glad I got that. I wonder how it would have tasted with yogurt. I had worse smoothies. The espresso bean had a nice flavor (didn't get a picture of it before I tasted it). I will try their espresso. Great concept and love the Carrollton location. This location still has a few kinks they need to work out but definitely look forward to coming back. Make sure to confirm your order, your order is correct when you receive it, and if you want cream in your coffee or italian CREAM soda then make sure you double check they put cream in it because otherwise they will put 2% milk. The manager said this is the most stocked milk so they default to this milk. That's right .. if you ask for coffee with cream, italian cream soda, or a splash of cream in anything .. THEY WILL PUT 2% milk in your drink so beware. Other than this odd and slightly annoying hiccup we loved all the different choices of syrups and the quirky drink options like Red Bull smoothies and fancier drinks like their breves. read more

Well this place has tasty coffee that's for sure! The coffee was piping hot too which was a plus! I tried their Mexi Mocha and was pleasantly surprised. The flavor put me somewhere between a cinnamon graham cracker and a warm cinnamon roll! The overall esthetic from the store front to the coffee cups is well done and they even include little chocolate beans on top of their warm drinks as a tasty accent! We stopped by the Human Bean on a whim after we had visited their other location the day before. When I saw they had over 100 flavors of syrup I was sold. My wife and I both ordered Italian cream sodas, mine was raspberry and blackberry and hers was English toffee and hazelnut. The drinks were amazingly good and I can't wait to try a new flavor next time. However, the list of syrup flavors wasn't available to customers- I was working off the syrup list from their other location posted on Yelp. I hope they will have the syrup list posted on their menu soon as I know this location recently opened and they really stand out for their syrup flavors. The staff was having some difficulty understanding our order so there were some hiccups there, it seems the staff needs some more experience. I also didn't understand why the syrup wasn't completely mixed into the Italian cream soda, which is difficult for me to do after I receive it. The other location mixed our Italian cream sodas for us which is how it should be in my opinion. I experienced a pretty crazy hiccup when I ordered another Italian cream soda on my second visit. Not only was I given a large when I ordered a small, but the cream soda was made with 2% milk instead of half and half (like it had been on my first visit). It didn't taste good. When I called the store to ask why this happened, a manager told me that this was intentional. When a customer asks for cream, such as orders "coffee with cream", or an Italian cream soda calls for cream, "it's corporate policy to use 2% milk". This is wrong on so many levels. So, when you order, make sure you specify "with half and half" or "with heavy cream" otherwise you'll be given 2% milk. If you want a straw, you should ask for that too. I did like several other things about their menu such as the Mexican chocolate, the large list of local bakery items, and this location has two drive throughs and a walk up. Hopefully they will iron out these issues soon because I really want to try all 100 syrup flavors! read more

I usually stick with either homemade coffee or Starbucks because I know their menu and what they offer (aka they have heavy cream and at least one sugar free flavor option since I'm trying to be keto), but this week I'm cat sitting in Coppell and I saw this place as an option on my Uber Eats. A friend of mine who lives in Lewisville had mentioned The Human Bean before and said they were good so I decided, why not give them a try? I checked out the menu and I saw they not only have heavy cream BUT they have a TON of sugar free flavors! This is so rare that I squealed! I ordered a cold brew coffee with heavy cream and sugar free almond flavor. As soon as it arrived I took a sip and mmmmm... PERFECTION! This reminds me of the amazing coffee spot I used to frequent when I lived in Qatar a few years ago; I had been wishing for such a place ever since. So glad I've found it! Now the only downside is that I live in Bedford so they're not close to home. BUT - any time I'm in this area of Lewisville or near the Carrollton location, I'll definitely be stopping by. Tried the cold brew and the red bull smoothie while here. The cold brew was brewed perfectly and was not bitter nor was it too light. The red bull smoothie I had with raspberry flavor was amazing as well! The staff were courteous and got me what I ordered pretty quickly, and I got to enjoy it in the nice patio area outside under the shade of one of their ubrella tables. Honestly, I don't understand the hype. The cold brew tasted watered down and the matcha latte had no discernable matcha flavor (though it was a good 'hot vanilla.') The service was fast and very kind, and the chocolate covered espresso bean on each drink was a nice touch, but at the end of the day, the drinks just weren't worth it.
