Great handmade pizza. One size for all pies, we fed 5 big eaters with 3 pizzas and a salad no problem. High quality, tasty. Will go back.

Extremely disappointing. Cafeteria style dining - order at the counter to a very unfriendly cashier - cold, uninviting interior, and very mediocre pizza. The crust had one char on it, the rest being underdone and flavorless. On the Hunter pizza, $23, the miniscule dots of sausage had no flavor whatsoever, the cheese was unmelted and the sauce was so raw it tasted like it was straight from the can. The salad did not have the described ingredients, certainly never saw a pistachio in the endive (mostly lettuce) salad done with apples instead of pears. We were so looking forward to a good pizza place on College. This isn't it unfortunately. read more

The service is really great! Servers are so friendly and the chef is really friendly too! I really liked the set up of the restaurant, and the food was really good too. The burrata was really fresh and the Ollie was really good! Can't wait to come here again, I'm so glad I found this place :) They even give freshly grated cheese for your pizza. The cauliflower pizza is one of my favorite pizzas in the bay! The crust is so flavorful and really makes it stand out.

When my girlfriend and I moved to Berkeley, one of the first places we tried was State Flour Pizza. We were surprised with the great quality of the ingredients, it made a super light and really delicious pizza, by far the best we've had in the bay area. Now we go there very often and it's become "our thing" to go there. The service is really great, everyone who works there is genuinely nice and interested in holding a conversation. Crust is thin but also fluffy, allowing the toppings to shine, sprinkled with a tiny bit of salt around the edges, for the discerning pizza crust critic. Having a lighter crust means more stomach space for more pies! Notable pies for me were the (1) BLTCEA, egg yolk in the center to be mixed into the toppings, (2) Gaia, a novel vegetarian style featuring cauliflower topped with a secret sauce and the (3) Burrata, with generous dollops of burrata. I love that the salads are simple yet flavorful, with an added crunch of crispy prosciutto and a balanced amount of dressing, not too heavy and not too light - just right. For drinks the Cava sparkling wine is a winner. With pizza this delightful it should be celebrated with a nice glass of bubbly. read more

I believe the owner / chef must have crafted and escalated the science of pizza to a Michelin grade. I don't used to eat the edges of a pizza but this time is exception. Had the most delicious dinner at State Flour last night! I've been celiac for 5 years now, and the gluten-free crust here was one of the best I've had! Fluffy, chewy, crusted with parmesan, and reminiscent of a delicious garlic foccacia... it was so good all of my non-GF friends couldn't believe it was GF!
