I don't even know where to start. I feel completely taken advantage of, mislead, and bullied after working with Little Guy Movers on what was supposed to be a very simple move from a house to a storage facility nearby. At the inception of the job, I was quoted a very high amount for a local move, which I agreed to, as I had no other option and needed a move quickly. Ryan sold me on their diligence, their process, and the various roles of each worker; little of which came to fruition on our job. We had to plead and advocate for several of our items to be packed properly, after discovering very shoddy work. Some parts of furniture were only covered with very little shrink wrap, which they ran out of quickly as they did not have enough of the necessary materials to complete our job. This left us feeling very confused and very frustrated as we paid such a high premium for this very average-seeming move into empty storage units. Many of our items had to be transported to the storage facility loosely and improperly due to the lack of materials, to be properly packed later at the destination. Ultimately we had to take on the burden and risk of our items being damaged in transit to the storage units due to the companies mistake. There was little to no protocol conducive to an organized job. Many of the men were seemingly unsupervised, and much of the time, doing little to help move things along. We were concerned that most of the men working had little to no experience moving items. Our items were not labeled, which we were promised before the job. This was something very important to us as we wanted to keep track of our items. In the end, we paid over $4,000 for about 8 hours of work, that very well could have been 4-6 hours of work with a decent protocol and the necessary supervision. We highly regret trusting this company with our items, money, and time. It was a reminder to us that we really cannot let our guard down and trust anybody at face value, even when paying such a premium and being promised a great product. Since we were not provided a receipt in person, I was left to discover that the card was charged just over $4,400 through square. We are not sure how to justify this amount as we do not have a receipt. We are seriously so upset and felt compelled to share our experience. read more

The positive feedback on this company is they were able to meet a very tight timeline when I needed to have movers grab an estate sale find. In addition, the movers were kind, courteous, and communicative. However, this is not the company I'd recommend using to move if you're looking for experienced movers who know how to maneuver large objects without possible damage. One of the guys was so inexperienced that even after one of the others provided him full step-by-step instructions, he still managed to miss his "Set" cue and hurt himself pretty significantly. This required medical attention, which caused delays and a pick up from the owner. The remaining two guys seemed to not understand the concept of placing a sofa on end to maneuver into a hallway concept. After damaging the corners of my hallway entrance while making several attempts, I opted to have them place the sofa into a wide open room and I'll hire someone else to do what I need. They did a fine job of removing stuff from the truck into the house. If that's all you need in a pinch, LittleGuys will suffice. read more

Great moving service! Ray was very helpful in coordinating the move, and I appreciated how quickly he worked with me to adjust the inventory/quote within 24 hours of the truck's arrival. Makes a point of answering questions quickly. The company sent three men to move my 2-BR apartment (furniture only). They arrived on time, were all friendly/courteous, and completed the whole job (loading, driving 35 miles, and unloading) in less than three hours. Nothing was broken or chipped. So after leaving this review, a manager messaged me to find out more about what happened. I have him my information and someone from the company called to explain that there was a glitch in their system and try to make it right. Since it's so close now to Thursday morning- the day I need to move, they don't have anyone available. So they are having their team *from San Marcos* come up to move me. That's a pretty big deal as far as I'm concerned. They guys on the phone have been great. I'll report back to let you know how it goes. *Last Update!* So they got two guys out who were ready & able to do the work. They were timely, courteous & professional. However, I think I'm used to more experienced movers. Everything I had was ready & boxed up to go. There was no last minute packing of *anything* and all the boxes were ready & waiting right by the front door. With any of the previous movers I have used over the last 5 years, this would have been less than a two hour job. These guys were nice, just just seemed really new. There were lots of trips back & forth with only one or two light things, or team carrying an item that can be carried by one person etc. Ultimately the job took 3 hours, and I got a discount, but it should have been two hours which, when you're paying $100/hr, is not cheap. Ultimately, great customer service after that first blunder, but inexperienced movers gives them a solid 3 stars. read more

I used these guys a few years ago to help me unload a U-Haul truck and everything went smoothly. It was a bit more expensive than I would have liked as they had a two hour minimum for service which is understandable and I believe a standard in the industry at least in my experience. They were actually apologetic about it but explained with the logistics and all two hours was the minimum and I had known people that had worked there in the past so wanted to go with someone I was at least somewhat familiar with. I recently moved and went with a different company on a "friend's" recommendation and everything was a total disaster. It has made me really appreciate the service I got from Little Guys Movers. Even if you have a small job like I did money is worth a lot less than peace of mind. I used them 2 years ago for a move and then again this past weekend. They're very upfront about their pricing which takes a lot of stress off when you're trying to budget for your move. The guys called when they were heading my way, showed up right on time, and knocked my move out so fast. Both times I've used Little Guys Movers I've been impressed. The guys who moved me were inexperienced and slow. When we pulled up to the storage unit . It took him 30 minutes to figure out how to park his truck; even though I told him how he should park it. He didn't listen. Then they moved my furniture out but refused to care about leaving expensive items out unattended. The guy would not put it in the truck for safekeeping until the next load. Very frustrating. I had to stand there myself and watch it. Then they delivered the bill which included a surprise charge of $125 for 20 miles of mileage expenses. They never told me about mileage or the cost. When I rightly complained they refused to budge on the extra charges. Do NOT use these boneheads!!!! read more

These guys were absolutely fantastic in helping me move. I was in the process of closing on a condo, and had to change my moving date quite a few times, but they never made me feel like it was a problem, and they were very accommodating. My actual move was flawless. The guys were so incredibly friendly and careful with my belongings, in fact, I think it was the only time I've ever moved when nothing has been damaged or broken. They even helped me put together my bed , which was a really lovely touch. These guys did the job but they wanted to milk the clock, one of the guys was on the phone for a good while. What should of taken 30 minutes took the about 1hour 30 minutes. It came to the point where we had to help them out. We paid 280 plus tip to get the job done quick with out having to do any thing. About 10 days ago I had this company come out to help me move. I was REALLY nervous about the move and the last thing I wanted was troubles with the movers if you know what I mean. They were EXCELLENT! They called and told me they were on their way when they said they would! They were not hurried, careful with my things, wrapped them. They were completely courteous. They moved me from a 2nd floor to a 3rd floor and did not complain once. They are my VERY favorite mover I have used in at least 10 yrs now. I called these guys a day (ONE DAY) before I needed to get my stuff moved from my freshly arrived moving unit before a holiday weekend and they squeezed me in with no issue. They also happened to be one of the best prices I was quoted (the others of which would have had to wait until the following week when I was back at work - a no go) so that was a huge plus. They provided a two hour arrival window, kept in constant communication about when they would be arriving so I wasn't sitting around at a storage facility (thanks Nick!), and knocked out my (relatively small) move in under two hours. Best Experience. I called more than three moving companies. Everyone was already booked and had minimums. There were more into big moves, I had a little move. There was a heavy piece of furniture I did not want to lift. I called these guys and "Ryan" answered and was very helpful. He had a spot for me with five days notice. First thing in the morning too! His quote was lower than everyone else too. The two guys showed up a little early, ready to go. It was Tanner and Lance. Strong young studs who had no trouble with the Fouton going up the stairs. Very cooperative and polite. Lance lift the Fouton with just two hands on the top. Very impressive. I would call these guys without hesitation. I was very happy with them. read more

I called Little Guys Movers to help me unload heavy furniture from my rental truck when I moved to Austin. I liked that they had a one-hour minimum and a reasonable hourly rate ($90/hour). I called about a week in advance and they were able to schedule me in on a Saturday afternoon. On the phone, they were friendly, professional, and to the point - not at all "slick," like other moving companies I had talked to, and they didn't try to sell me on services I didn't need. On the day of my move, the moving team called me to confirm when I was planning to arrive in Austin. A three-person team arrived on time (and actually before I did, since I had to wait a long time for my apartment complex to give me my keys - but they didn't start their clock until I arrived, which I thought was nice of them!) They were friendly, careful with my stuff, but also very efficient - they were able to move all of my items to my third-floor apartment in under an hour (my dad and I helped with light items).
