Is the quality of the food and service from this restaurant decreasing? Or did I come on an off night? Either way, my experience this time around was underwhelming. I normally enjoy their entree's however, I was quite confused when my plate came out and it only had 3 scallops, 1 was overcooked (I guess I paid $10 per scallop since the plate itself was $36). The flavor profile was nice and light which went well with the green beans and the scallops. Oh boy. I think I wrote my last review using the dictation feature on my phone! I was so embarrassed I had to rewrite it without errors. I wish Yelp let us make corrections instead of writing new reviews. But if you want a laugh, Yelp always lists the original alongside the new. Quality food, fun presentation, and packed with flavor. High marks all the way around. Very classy, upscale place to eat. Featuring seafood, they also have other options for those not so inclined. However, be aware that most of the menu focuses on seafood, which they do exceptionally well! FOOD: Like I mentioned, the food here (not hair) is excellent! The quality of ingredients is way above average. The variety of seafood, and the ability to basically craft your own meal is amazing. And the presentation is just spectacular! Usually going to a seafood restaurant, all I want is seafood. But for some reason I was craving mac & cheese, so I got the lobster mac & cheese. Often times, in a lobster mac & cheese you get a sprinkling of lobster. Here you had big full chunks of delicious, perfectly cooked lobster. It was amazing! I am a couple weeks late on this review so forgive me for not remembering everything. My family and I went to stations 16 as my last brunch before I moved. We had our reservation for seven at their opening time so we could get in early and avoid a crowd. We have been here before a central downtown location with a parking lot across the street and ample street parking. We always come early so it's never crowded but we always have excellent service. We all got bottomless mimosas (except for the kids of course) and ordered everything from breakfast to dinner items. My husband and brother also got espresso martinis which they both said were very good (my husband has had espresso martinis at Starbucks reserve in Seattle so I would say him saying it's good is a positive). Now while I can't remember what everyone ordered there were no complaints. Receded almost immediately at the table enough for all of us. She tended to her needs constantly without being too intrusive. She also was very helpful and patient with us as we tried to decide on the menu. Also, just say we all enjoyed what we ordered. We started off with calamari and artichoke dip if we had to pick we'd choose a calamari, although the artichoke dip was good also We ordered the Big Trinity with the garlic butter, which was flavorful with a hint of sweetness. It came with two lobsters, two Dungeness crabs and a bunch of prawns i'd easily fed three people. Also ordered the small mix, which was more than enough for two people. This one came with Dungeness crab and prawns with a collision flavor. Also ordered with the pan, seared scallops which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing . It was our anniversary, so we decided to check out Station 16, which was new to us. Our bartender/server was very friendly and makes a great old fashioned (they do one of those smoky ones. Pretty and lots of drama. Gotta do it once.). Excellent food -- I had a side of the garlic noodles (YUM!) and the mussels starter (also delicious). Plenty of food. My husband had the scallops and also ordered a side of garlic noodles. Between the two of us, we had plenty of noodles to take home for lunch. We ordered the apple pie to split for dessert, which was epic! The ambience is great -- loved the bar and backbar. The seating in the bar and in the dining room is very comfortable. Had a graduation dinner at this location before the permanent closure on 16th Street and overall, it was a solid experience. We came during happy hour, which was a nice perk. $2 oysters and a discount on the calamari helped ease the bill a bit. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and delicious, and the calamari was perfectly fried, crispy, and paired well with the sauce it came with. Service was friendly and accommodating, especially for a larger group, though the wait time for food and drink refills could've been a bit quicker. What a gem of a find! The plan was to go to Station 16 for dinner, and see a local play afterwards. The timing didn't work out, and brunch was the new agenda item. Just wow! I was not expecting so much goodness. The staff is great... actually beyond great. Our server (Julissa) was truly the best. Perfect and timely service. She was personable, engaging, and sweet as pie. It's rare these days to have this level of service. She made wonderful recommendations, and was spot on. Let's talk food... damn delicious, is all that needs to be said. The pancakes... light, fluffy, and the seasonal peach compote was killer. You must try it when it rotates back on the menu. It's a not miss. It was like eating peach cobbler that your grandmother made, and refused to share the recipe. The biscuits and sausage gravy is sinfully delectable. The south has risen in Sacramento folks! The ceviche wasn't the best because it seemed super overpriced for what we got. It had maybe 5 tiny pieces of shrimp. I got the cajun pasta for my main entree because it was highly recommended and I requested extra prawns. The portion was amazing and came with so much sausage. It has a bit of a spicy kick but not too overwhelming. Lastly, for dessert I got to try the apple pie and it was amazing! 10/10. Service was pretty good. First time dining at Station 16 and it didn't disappoint. Very clean and chic inside. Perfect lighting. Chandeliers gave it that stylish sophistication. Food was excellent. Ordered the lobster sandwich. The roll was toasted and stuffed with lobster tail meat with a sweet spread. Wish I had asked for my sauce on the side to keep my till from getting soggy. For my sake I ordered the classic Caesar salad. The dressing was perfect paired nicely with parmesan cheese and tossed with light crispy croutons. The best Caesar salad I had in a longtime! My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new restaurant, and I found this place. We both agreed it would be a good idea since he likes seafood and I like pasta. When we arrived, we were told there would be an almost hour wait unless we were seated on the patio. We agreed, thinking that was fine. After being seated, we were told our waiter would be with us shortly. However, after about 30 minutes, not only did we not see our waiter, but two other waiters came by and did not even acknowledge us. They didn't offer us water, starters, or anything. I'm pretty sure the manager also came around and ignored us, which was strange because everyone else had water and bread already He was also asking around how everything was going but never Acknowledged us. Now, I'm not sure if it was how we were dressed or how old we looked, but whatever the case may be, I feel that no one should be judged or receive half-hearted service based on their appearance or age. My fiancé and I love Station 16's food and have always had great experiences dining here, but it was a bit different when we came in for brunch last Sunday. I had been eyeing their chocolate Belgian waffle (screenshot attached) that they've advertised multiple times on instagram, but it was not on the menu, nor was our server or the cooks familiar with it when we asked. They suggested that it was a featured item from months ago and/or that it was an Elk Grove special - but the most recent photo of it on instagram was just days ago, and we have been to the Elk Grove location as well and their menu was the same. In any event, they said they would "make it happen." I was then brought a plain chocolate waffle (pictured). Our server did end up going out of her way (bless her heart) to hunt down some berries and chocolate sauce on the side after the fact, but it still did not resemble what was advertised online - whipped cream, powdered sugar, pecans, caramel etc. Lol it's just a chocolate waffle. No big deal. We love their seafood and will certainly be back in the future. But there seems to be a disconnect between Station 16's social media and their menu & staff. read more

Better than Santa Cruz in my opinion. The seafood stew is new. Very spicy with the Cajun seasoning. Not super spicy but don't get it if you're averse to the spice. Tons of seafood in there, also awesome, even down to the buttered herb rice on the side. And last the new app is this bacon cheese hush puppies dish. Personally, the timing when the food arrive to the table is important to me, especially at a nice table service restaurant. Station 16 has become my favorite place to go for girls night! Not only do the drinks look cute and pretty but also perfectly made! The lobster Mac and cheese is to die for! It's the perfect combination of creamy and cheesy with the lobster being perfectly cooked. I always get the ribeye and ask for double sauce! A small suggestion I would give is experiment with some different types of sauces for the steak? The service staff are friendly and wait time for your meal just depends on how busy the day is.
