Sauteed Shrimp for her and the Shrimp Dinner for me, great!!!
    James W.

We guessed that it is probably pretty good seeing lots of cars in their ample parking lot, so we decided to give it a try. Gladly we were not deceived. The Bowls of Chili we started with were tasty and very satisfying especially when I requested more chopped onion. My wife and I love good shrimp so she ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the Sautéed Shrimp, and I loved my Shrimp Dinner. Keep up the great work 43!!!

Great little tavern with local bar vibe and delicious food! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Having to kill some time while our car was getting serviced at the Discount Tire next door, we stopped in for lunch on 10/15/22. Great menu filled with your typical bar favorites, with a lot of surprises! These guys do it right! Good stuff! Definitely recommend!

Station 43 Tavern is full of charm and character! Throughout the tavern, the walls and rafters are decorated with firefighter patches, ladders, axes, and extinguishers. Over the bar, you can find a fireman jump trampoline and golden vintage fire extinguishers as lights. This neighborhood bar honors the local firefighters while serving average bar fare. It is best to stick with the basics when ordering. On our recent trip, we ordered twelve mild buffalo barbeque wings to start. The wings were plump and meaty with a distinct crispy skin. The flavor was tasty. I ordered the Italian Sausage Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. Filled with onions and colorful peppers, Lou's Italian Sausage Sandwich has a mild flavor. The Sweet Potato Fries were crunchy.

Local gem! Today was (somehow) my first time coming to Station 43 Tavern. The location is right in 43 and the restaurant has a decent sized parking lot. The interior is filled with firefighter memorabilia. It isn't a huge place, but was very nice. The menu was filled with different options that left me "oohing" over and over. They had specials each day and summer options. I got the summer entree shrimp Alfredo with spinach. The entree came with a salad and dinner rolls. The salad seemed to be stored and quickly delivered as it wasn't the most fresh. The Alfredo dish was huge and delicious. The sauce was tasty and the shrimp was cooked well. Service was very quick and the waitress filled up my glass every time it was low. I would go back to try out more on the menu and to support a local restaurant compared to a chain!

Just average. More options then just the normal bar food, so thats a plus. We got the breaded porkchops, ive had better but whos meal they were liked them. I got the chili which was the best thing we got and the grilled wings. Bbq ones were better than the cajun but not all that the waitress hyped them up to be. Nothing to exciting or to bad. Like I said just average. There is a seperate dining room from the bar if wanted to bring family or kids.

Great food great atmosphere. It is our third time here for lunch, one of these days we need to make it out for breakfast! Typically we take the puppies into Banfield at Petsmart monthly for "butts and nails". Lol. This is our stop for lunch on those days. We've tried a few other local watering holes but typically come back to Station. Good honest home Made food, nice selection to wet our whistle and cool deform- all historical to Firefighting back to the 1900.

Service is always excellent. The wedge salad ( ask for blue cheese dressing) with the steak tips or the salmon is amazing! On Saturdays they have a burger called the smash burger, which is excellent as well!

The Station burger was very good. I ordered it medium & it was more like well done so keep that in mind when ordering burgers. My fiancé got a plain burger with bacon & he really enjoyed it with the homemade chips. My mom got the roast beef sandwich & did not care for it. It's not deli roast beef, but real roast beef, which she wanted. It just did not taste good. She had the home fries with peppers & onions & really enjoyed them. My cousin enjoyed her chili. The only problem was it took a really long time to get our meal. There were three other tables at the same time. One was a big table and I understand that. What was frustrating was we had to beg for drinks & were not given an update on our food. We also were on our way back to PA & didn't really want to wait that long for food.

Our bartender Michael was fantastic. He was very personable. Made phenomenal drinks and also had incredible food recommendations. We started with the pretzel and that was to die for. The space is dark and cozy and you'll forget all about the CVS outside by the time you sit down. The menu offers a nice variety of small plates, salads, sandwiches, entrees and pizzas. There are also cocktails, wine and a small but sufficient selection of beers on tap. The prices feel a couple dollars higher than you'd want them to be ($18 for a smash burger or a 12-inch pizza) but are comparable with similar restaurants in the area. My parents and I split the Medjool dates starter, Crunchy Greens salad and a mushroom pizza and all were very good and enough for all of us to enjoy (sorry, forgot to take pics). We drove this way after cross country skiing at Punderson State Park, and I can imagine us going back after our next outing there. Do recommend if you're in the area.

This spot brings a shareable Italian dining experience, meaning large portions that don't compromise on flavor. For me, the true test of an Italian restaurant is its red sauce, and Capriccio's nailed it--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Whether poured over pasta or served alongside hearty entrées, you can taste the quality in every bite. And speaking of pasta, they make theirs fresh, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and texture to every dish! Beyond the incredible food, they offer craft cocktails, which immediately caught my attention because, well, I'm a low-key cocktail snob--the more intricate, the better! Their drinks are thoughtfully prepared, adding a perfect complement to the meal. Now, let's talk about dessert--because their Biscoff cheesecake is TOP TIER. Creamy, rich, and full of that buttery Biscoff goodness, it's a must-try. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Tip: Make a reservation Capriccio's is tucked away enough to make it an ideal date night spot--whether with your partner or your sneaky link (no judgment here!). I'll definitely be back for more of their authentic flavors and cozy vibes!

ZERO STARS - Don't Waste Your Time or Money!…read more This restaurant used to be decent, but my experience today was completely unacceptable. I ordered two grilled patty melts and received burgers served on soft wheat bread instead of rye. The bread wasn't even grilled, and the sandwiches had cheddar cheese instead of Swiss cheese. The entire order was prepared incorrectly. I called the restaurant to let them know about the mistake, and I was shocked by the response. The owner--not a manager--told me there was nothing she would do and that I needed to file a complaint with DoorDash. DoorDash didn't prepare the food; the restaurant did. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself, but the complete lack of accountability and customer service. Errors happen, but refusing to address them is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with this establishment and will never eat here again. The owner's attitude has completely ruined what was once a decent restaurant.

I always seek out the locally owned, non-chain spots with a lot of cars in the parking lot when not in a familiar place, and Glenwillow fit the bill. We walked in and were a little surprised by how fancy the dining room was - white tablecloths and a very nice ambiance, I almost felt underdressed - but there were guys in work uniforms at a table, and we made our way to the equally impressive bar area. I can only speak to the lunches we had and what we saw some out of the kitchen, but I'd love to go back for a dinner date. Lobster bisque was delicious and came in a large bowl. We both had salads, he the greens and I the Caesar "side" salads. They were huge - these weren't the lunch menu salads, mind you - just supposed sides. I'm not sure I could've eaten anything other than soup with a salad that size! We saw burgers (also massive) and "Flatbreads" that were more the size of a medium pizza delivered to the patrons around us and all appeared excellent. Definitely recommend for lunch, and hope to experience a dinner there soon!

The food was overall, very bland. It was expertly prepared, fresh, and beautiful. But the taste was quite boring. Be prepared to eat a second dinner when you get home. Also be prepared to sit at the bar- this place is very tiny. The vibe is nice. Low ceiling, dimly lit, comfortable cozy. The server/ bartender (I'm pretty sure she was running the whole place) Nikki, was phenomenal. So friendly, good drinks. We started with the oysters which were good. The mignonette sauce was a little different, it had lemon zest in it. It was very good! But the give you laughable amount. Like, a splash. Then we had the fig and prosciutto toast. This was the highlight for us. Tasty all the way around, 4 generous servings on the plate. Jam was so good and the prosciutto was warmed up ever so slightly. I had the hangar steak with some unseasoned boiled carrots. The steak was tender and high quality, but I couldn't taste a bit of seasoning. Also served with a tiny crispy potato pancake. Husband had the halibut special. This had some wasabi crust and if you got a bite of the wasabi it was good. The bites that weren't crusted were boring fish. Again, very fresh and prepared well. Black rice and asparagus also boring. I got a hint of lemon on one bite I tried. We also had the Brussels sprouts, which were charred along with the few pork belly pieces. Husband finished with a whiskey crème brûlée which he enjoyed. He did not, however, enjoy his Dark and Stormy. He said it was all booze and no beer or mix. Sadly, we won't be back.

Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.

Overall, I had a good experience- however the items I got were partially bland or just average. Let's get into it: Drinks: my girlfriend got a smoked old fashion and I a skinny margarita- both were amazing! Their signature cocktails are only $8 during happy hour (only the old fashioned) and I love a great deal! Service: By far my favorite part of the experience. When we visited there were only a few other patrons but our waiter was informed, attentive, anticipated needs, and popped up at just the right times which I think is so important to keep the conversation and service going Food: I could have ordered the house salad and nothing else- it was DELICIOUS!!! I asked if the house dressing came in a bottle I could buy. I'm a salad girl and a great simple one is something I look for. I got the avocado ranch flatbread which was on happy hour and the elements were there but just not well put together. I ate two small squares and declined to take any home. My girlfriend got the steak frites - the cut of meat just wasn't great which could be a sign of our food issues as Americans idk. The tater tots weren't described as a n abstract form and came looking like some sort of popper with very little potato I would stop back in for drinks easily and the salad.
