Beef Tenderloin Kabob plate, so flavorful!!
Araceli D.

My husband and I were in the area & after looking on Yelp for a little bit we decided on Flame Kabob Grill. Wow!!! We tried their combination kabob plate and the beef tenderloin kabob plate. We also got an order of falafels. Everything was so flavorful, even on its own. The rice 10/10, the chicken kabob 10/10, beef 10/10 and the falafels with the hummus was DELICIOUS!!! We will def be back! The customer service was also great. The place is nice and clean, plenty of seating area. On our way out we decided to try their chocolate cake, it was soooo good!

March special their Salted caramel coffee

They have the Best coffee and beverages here while getting your nails done. I only come here for the past 6 years and continue to do so. I love the vibes too, clean and calm always

Beef and Chicken Kebab platter.

First time eating here and wow. These kebabs have great flavor. Tried one chicken and one beef. The chicken is a little better because it has a little more char, which gives it a bit more flavor. Will have to try the other kebabs on future visits. Glad we finally tried this place. It will be added to our local eatery rotation. Delicious.

Yes, you should eat here. The food is great. We had the chicken, beef and flaming chicken kebab plates. The plates come with a salad, rice, pita, and garlic sauce. all the meats are good but i would recommend the flaming chicken (has a little spice to it) or chicken. Everything is fresh and I cannot mention enough how good each item tastes on its own or mixed together. The staff is super friendly, and the place is clean. It is a casual place for a meal. We will be back to try more!

Gyro sandwich

Went here for lunch with coworkers. It wasn't crowded but the workers looked busy. I decided to go with the gyro sandwich with a side of fries. The food came out in a reasonable time and I ate at the location. There is plenty of seating to dine in. The sandwich was loaded with gyro meat with a small pita and very little vegetables. I can't complain about the portion of meat but I wouldn't classify this as a sandwich lol. I do wish the ratio of meat to pita and vegetables was better. Regardless, the meat was tender and flavorful. The taziki sauce was pretty good and complemented well with the sandwich. The fries were slightly overcooked but they were still crispy and nice. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.

Excellent service delicious food and friendly staff. Love the food you have to try it to like it.

Pork Kabob plate, two kabobs, rice pita and salad. Second time here. Not fancy, but a delicious meal.

Taste of Jerusalem is the kind of place that reminds you why you should never judge a restaurant by its zip code or its signage. Tucked into a perfectly forgettable strip mall in Plainfield, this little spot is quietly serving some of the best food in the area and I am genuinely annoyed it took me this long to find it. The chicken kabob plate was a revelation. Massive portions of beautifully marinated chicken laid over a split of white rice and spicy rice. That spicy rice deserves its own paragraph. Fragrant, deeply spiced, with a slow building heat that lingers just long enough to keep pulling you back for another bite. Addicting is the only word for it. The hummus was exactly what hummus should be, fresh, delicious, also addictive. I added falafel and pita and those falafel were genuinely among the best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, not a trace of that greasy heaviness that ruins lesser versions. Just fragrant, spiced, crispy little bites that I genuinely savored. My partner got the chicken wrap and said every component worked together without competing, tasted fresh, and left him full without feeling heavy. High praise from a man who knows his way around a wrap. The space is clean and simple. You order from a kiosk. None of that matters because the husband and wife team running the grill are pouring obvious passion into every plate and it comes through in every single bite. Plainfield has a gem here. Treat it accordingly.

I used* to* love* Kabobs, BUT sadly I fear it's becoming commercialized and the quality is…read moresignificantly suffering. Please hear me out. They have always* struggled with CONSISTENCY issues ever since they started (I've had raw chicken multiple times from them, now it's all burnt/dry), but it's more and more apparent recently. The meats are not only overcooked and EXTREMELY DRY, but the burnt exterior is a genuine *carcinogenic* (fact-check me) issue that leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth that is worse than sand IMO. The gyro meat is more grainy and un-chewable lately. The chicken is overcooked and dry as heck. The rice is undercooked and almost hard. The salads are less fresh, and I notice a distinct difference in the olives lately (more bitter and mushy, YUCK- I love good Kalamata olives, but NO thank you). I genuinely write this in a probably naive attempt to warn Kabobs that they are cutting too many corners that will probably, eventually, bite them. I would be very sad if that happened. I used to love Just Kabobs-- I've had great gyro and chicken and salad, etc, so I KNOW FROM THE PAST that they can do better. The main problem now* is that they are SUPER busy and they probably don't care about quality control because the money is rolling in, but I hope they will reverse course and get better quality ASAP. (PS; at their peak they are capable of 5/5 stars.-- I just feel that the quality has significantly* declined lately and it's sad to see, and waste money on. I couldn't stomach the burnt dry chicken kabobs I got last night and it's going to waste in my trashcan ).

I chose the Chicken Koobideh which was so juicy, I was shocked! I've had good Koobideh, but never this juicy and tender! Strong flavor, and hint of saffron, a true delight. I also ordered the Ghormeh Sabji - which is a soya (dill) based green stew with meat and beans, and when it first comes to the table, you're thinking this looks and smells like henna paste, but the taste is so beautifully complex - savory, bitter, buttery, and pure deliciousness in every bite!!!!! A must try for something different. Husband ordered the lamb shank, and it was tender and fall off the bone! The meat was soft and unctuous. It was served with this roasted garlic bulb that was roasted to perfection, taking the harshness of the garlic away and replacing it with a soft, buttery, jammy garlicky goodness that is to DIE for!!!! Lastly, my mom got the lamb and beef Koobideh and said it was soft and juicy as well. After food, we had their tea and it is absolute perfection. I take mine sweetened, but even unsweetened my mother found it perfect! Lastly, don't sleep on the DOOGH! That's that fermented yogurt drink that is tart, salty, and super refreshing! I almost didn't even wanna tell yall about it, but I reminded myself that gatekeeping is a cardinal sin! And finally, the ambiance and the service is AMAZING. So gracious, so soft spoken, so generous and just kind to boot. The food is delicious but I'd come back just to see these smiling faces!!!

Very few places serve dill rice, but it delicious and one of my favorite foods. I rarely cook dill rice, because of how time-consuming preparing dill is to separate from the stems. The manager came by to ask how our food was, to which I replied, "Excellent, but this dill rice has no lima beans or fava beans." He informed me that he has had customers that are allergic to lime beans, but is happy to include them if they are requested when ordering. He also said that they will make any menu item modification when requested. They have a menu board as well as QR code menus. Top place for people of any dietary need/choice!

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

The bread is a large and rustic pita pocket. The beef is great, slices off the spit. And the load of veggies with sauce round out the sandwich. The veggies (called salad in the menu) consist of lettuce, cabbage, onion, tomato, and cucumber. You can choose between beef, chicken, or both. And the sauces consist of garlic, herb, or spicy. The counter service is fine... they make everything to order, so it does take a bit of time and it can be a little bit of a wait with orders ahead of you. The place is a typical strip mall fast food place with a handful of tables and some black and white pictures on the wall. Not fancy or crazy, but clean and inviting.
