Checked out this restaurant in Yorkville to get Middle Eastern food. Flame Kabob has a limited menu compared to other places. It has a lot of choices that are meaty and these even include salads. Also kind of a hectic atmosphere. There's not a whole lot of room inside for tables. Basic looking place in a strip mall with other places to eat. It's somewhere after going past it enough times I got a craving for a falafel wrap so finally we came in. They got a much more limited menu that really made us struggle to choose something. A few okay things to get. There's a counter to order that and they bring it out. It's about $7 to get the dolmanthes. These are the classic stuffed grape leaves. It's about $8 to get hummus. This is pretty much the extent of the vegetarian options. Someone forgot to put falafel on the menu. They have plenty of chicken though. Crappy. The lunch was okay but it seemed not that fresh to be honest. Fairly okay food if liking gyros and kabobs because that's mostly all they actually got. It's one of the few restaurants of this cuisine to not have any falafel on the menu which is crazy stuff. There's a few items for vegetarians but these are sides or whatever. read more

A friend of mine ordered food from here and posted it on social media. My mouth was watering looking at the pics she posted. I decided that the next take out order would be from here. I ordered the beef tenderloin kabobs platter. It comes with a salad, rice and a garlic sauce. The beef was cooked perfectly and it was sooo good! My husband and I were in the area & after looking on Yelp for a little bit we decided on Flame Kabob Grill. Wow!!! We tried their combination kabob plate and the beef tenderloin kabob plate. We also got an order of falafels. Everything was so flavorful, even on its own. The rice 10/10, the chicken kabob 10/10, beef 10/10 and the falafels with the hummus was DELICIOUS!!! We will def be back! The customer service was also great. The place is nice and clean, plenty of seating area. On our way out we decided to try their chocolate cake, it was soooo good! read more

Yes, you should eat here. The food is great. We had the chicken, beef and flaming chicken kebab plates. The plates come with a salad, rice, pita, and garlic sauce. all the meats are good but i would recommend the flaming chicken (has a little spice to it) or chicken. Everything is fresh and I cannot mention enough how good each item tastes on its own or mixed together. The staff is super friendly, and the place is clean. It is a casual place for a meal. Last time I was here I called ahead so my order would be ready when I get there, the woman on the phone was extremely rude and then hung up on me before completing my order. I called back. I explained to her I wasn't done with my order she said what else would I like at this point I gave her my whole order. The lady replied give her 10 to 15 minutes. I got there in 10 minutes and waited for almost an additional 20 minutes yet never getting my order. As I stood waiting, I witnessed multiple tables, not cleaned and trash all over the floor. The food came out in a reasonable time and I ate at the location. There is plenty of seating to dine in. The sandwich was loaded with gyro meat with a small pita and very little vegetables. I can't complain about the portion of meat but I wouldn't classify this as a sandwich lol. I do wish the ratio of meat to pita and vegetables was better. Regardless, the meat was tender and flavorful. The taziki sauce was pretty good and complemented well with the sandwich. The fries were slightly overcooked but they were still crispy and nice. I need to grab dinner for my family of four so, I did a random search on Apple Maps for Gyro in my area and Flame Kebab Grill popped up as the closest place to me. looking at the photos that came up, it looked promising, I was NOT disappointed! I ended up trying a little bit of everything. I ordered half of chicken plate it came with Greek salad and rice, pilaf, A Gyro platter and ordered individual steak, pork and chicken kebabs. Everything was made fresh did not take long to prepare. The service inside was kind and informative, and cozy. the best part their food was freakin delicious!!! Everything was reasonably priced the plates and platters were very filling in the sense that they did not skimp on the food portions. I asked my family what they thought they actually gave them 10 out of 10. I'm so glad that I stopped and visited flame kebab Grill. Food here is amazing. Have eaten here 3 times since they opened. We have had the steak kabob plate, chicken kabobs and shrimp kabobs. All are very well done. You can get a combination of different meats in the kabob plate which is great for a variety. I also had the flaming gyro sandwich which has an added slightly spicy feta cheese sauce. It is not heat hot like Mexican spicy but adds a really good flavor to the gyro. It was a great twist to the food. Drinks are in cans from the fridge. There are desserts here but have been too full to be able to try them yet. They look very good. I think it's safe to say the Oswego/Yorkville area finally has a good greek/gyro/kabob spot without having to drive to Naperville! I called and placed an order over the phone, the employee who picked up was very pleasant and she told me the food would be ready in 10. I ordered a kabob plate with the beef tenderloin and the flaming chicken breast. The plate comes with greek salad, rice, 4 pita slices, and garlic sauce. The meat was so tender and juicy and was seasoned incredibly well. The flaming chicken wasn't super spicy, it had a nice kick to it but wasn't overwhelming at all which is a good thing. The rice was delicious and there was a mountain of it, the garlic sauce is incredible, the pitas were warm and fluffy and the salad came with a lot of decent toppings. I just wish the dressing was a little more flavorful, it was on the bland side but that's the only negative thing I have to say about my entire experience. Unquestionably delicious. I've wanted to visit here for a while and finally got around to it now. The restaurant itself is pretty typical for fast casual--ample seating, clean, with a soda machine and garbage bin in the back corner. Bathrooms are easy to find. The woman who took our order was pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. But wow, the food! I had high hopes so in addition to my kid's chicken tenders and fries (and chocolate cake; I'm a sucker), I got the beef kabob plate, which comes with salad, pita, and rice. I also ordered two additional skewers to try: shrimp & spicy chicken. I figured this would guarantee leftovers, so I've got lunch and maybe dinner tomorrow covered. Yeah. That didn't happen. I pigged out big time and devoured everything (except my kid's food & her cake). Honestly, kind of impressed I ate that much in one sitting. The beef skewers were fantastic and cooked to a perfect medium rare--I'm glad I got two of them! I didn't care for the spicy chicken as much but that's more in comparison to the rest of the meal; the chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The shrimp were the standout for us. My husband, who didn't want anything due to a stomach ache, was tempted to try them and ended up stealing 2. They're a good size and they were cooked perfectly. They were tender with a good snap to them, not at all rubbery or dry. I'd be hard pressed to choose between the shrimp or steak as a favorite, so I'm glad they do combination plates--in the future, 1 beef & 1 shrimp will probably be my go-to order! Normally would recommend this place. The food is pretty good in general but unfortunately, the older woman cashier tonight was very rude. She took my order and prompted me to pay and I did, then she walked away immediately without talking to me. Later she asks me for my order number. I told her I didn't know because she didn't tell me, and she got extremely exasperated and raised her voice at me. My order took longer than usual and I waited for 45 minutes for a few platters.
