As soon as I walked in, I bumped into a famous movie star whose name I will protect, but you may have seen him in a movie called Superbad and he's Jewish . This place is in Toly known to be dripping with famous people so if that's your thing just steak dinner will be worth your while. Everything was so rich and delicious. We had an amazing time. On the way out to the restroom was greeted by an electronic toilet that lifted its own top pre-rinsed the toilet and welcomed me on heated seats. I'll be honest, the hype was just that. Hype. I wil admit, the service was impeccable and that presentation, ambience and vibe were all A+. But this was one of the more underwhelming steaks I've had. I came to Steak 48 for a private event in their backroom. We had some great waiters who provided excellent service, checked in with us, and made sure we didn't have any food allergies before the dinner began. Their bread basket is filled with a buttery, croissant style pull-apart bread served in a cast iron pot. It is very rich and, although delicious, I usually prefer a lighter/fluffier bread especially when you are about to eat such an indulgent dinner. Their crispy shrimp with sweet Thai chilis were a delicious way to start the meal. The shrimp were the tiniest baby shrimps that were perfectly fried and the sauce was sweet and tangy. Loved their 48 Caesar salad which came with a chilled salad fork (added a nice touch). It also came with baked bready seasoned croutons which gave it a nice touch and lotsa fresh Parmesan. For the main dish I got the petit filet which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The meat tasted fresh and high quality. I also tried the bone-in ibérico pork chops which were amazing. So juicy and packed with flavor and it came with 2 chops which was a big portion size. As if all of that food was not already enough, we also tried their ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake. It was a giant portion that could probably serve 2 or 3 and it did not disappoint. It tasted like a soft vanilla cake and the cold, sweet vanilla ice cream went perfectly with the warm cake. Great sweet way to end the meal. The restaurant itself is really large with an open kitchen which I love. It was dimly lit which made for a pleasant dining experience. High-end steakhouse on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills nestled on the first floor of one of the Saks buildings. Service is excellent with knowledgeable and attentive servers and sommelier. Half of our party's steaks arrived over-cooked, so I recommend requesting them under what your typical order is. The manager quickly rectified the error by re-firing the steaks and taking them off our bill, which was an unexpected gesture. The bone-in KC strip is the clear star of the menu, with the 12oz filet a close second. Dessert menu is extensive and complementary to steakhouse fare, with the key lime pie a must try. read more

Knowledgeable, professional, with a down-to-Earth attitude, we loved her. When the food arrived, it was as if Andie were conducting a symphony. I counted six wait staff as they elegantly served all ten of us nearly simultaneously. It was a sight to behold! The only weakness staff wise were the hosts at the desk. The entry is so dimly lit I first thought there was a power outage, except for the music which was too loud. The beautiful hostesses out front seemed lost in a night club. They were more decorative than helpful. That could be fixed with better training. They didn't know where my table was even though some guests had already arrived, so I started roaming around looking for my family. Awkward! Thankfully, the professionalism of everyone after that made me forget the jarring entry fiasco. The service, ambiance and food was beyond excellent. If you are looking for a top tier dining experience, this is the place. Keep in mind, it's a spendy situation, $3k for a dinner for ten people. But we are still talking about how wonderful it was. I dined at Steak 48 for my birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience due to their valet service. While my car was in valet custody, my driver-side rim was severely curbed, to the point that my tire now has a gash. This damage was absolutely not present before handing my vehicle over. After getting home and reviewing my Tesla dashcam footage, I was able to see the valet attendant inspecting the damaged wheel and attempting to wipe it clean. At no point was I notified of the damage when my car was returned. What's especially concerning is that footage showing the actual impact appears to have been deleted while the vehicle was in valet custody, yet footage of the attendant inspecting the damage remains. The attendant's face is clearly visible, confirming awareness of the incident. I immediately contacted Steak 48 to address this, but as of now I am still waiting for a response or any effort to resolve the situation. Accidents happen but failing to disclose damage and attempting to ignore it is unacceptable. I hope Steak 48 takes responsibility and resolves this properly, but until then, I would caution anyone using their valet service. Steak 48 needs to respond to me and make this right! read more

Came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday! Love the ambiance. It's not quiet and stuffy. Nor was it so loud that you can't hear the conversations. The buzz in the air was just right. The service was exceptional. Nico was very knowledgeable and attentive and so were members on his team. We never had to ask for a drink refill or new utensils or even boxes to-go. The serving staff were always there and anticipated what we needed next. The food was also amazing. We had the bone in ribeye, which was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the salmon, which was flavorful and juicy. Oh, and we started with the Caesar salad. It was big enough to share and also delicious. This place is extremely over priced. To get an idea, they charge $12 per quarter-size scallop. The food is mediocre at best, and the food quality is not consistent. The sea bass is very bland and not tender, definitely not worth $67 (before tax) per plate. The scallops were not all cooked to the same degree. As for the servers, a lot of the servers have an attitude issue. While not all of them are rude, their service is not worth their mandatory 20% gratuity. Additionally, they have a lot of hidden charges which they never mentioned until we received the bill. The atmosphere is ok, but the music is too loud. This restaurant is more like a dining lounge with night club vibe than fine dining. The food and service are NOT worth the price they charge. I would not go back again, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Inside was a handwritten birthday card from the Steak 48 team! What a thoughtful surprise! While waiting for our appetizers, we were served complimentary rolls that were in a skillet. It was so soft and buttery. I had to stop myself from eating it to make room for what we were about to devour. For our appetizer, we had the Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs. It was so flavorful and it had the perfect balance of crunchy and creamy. For our entrees, I got the Bone-in Filet Mignon. It had a beautiful sear and it was delicious but I should've ordered it medium rare. My husband got the 45 Day Dry Aged Bone-in Ribeye and that was really good. I liked it more because it was melt-in-your-mouth tender and it was tastier. We got a side of the Chef Eddie's Au Gratin Potatoes, which was good but a bit understated compared to the other dishes. We also got the Corn Crème Brûlée, which was my favorite dish of the night. I couldn't stop eating it! It was so sweet and creamy, it paired well with the savory richness of the steak. Pierre Cadault would looove this. For dessert, my husband got the Triple Layer Key Lime Pie topped with "lime caviar". Lime Caviar! They even wrote Happy Birthday on the plate. It was so tangy, my eye twitched as I remembered how it tasted. It was hefty enough to share but I'm more of a sweets kind-a-gal so I ordered the Triple Chocolate Bombe. It was like a huge Ferrero Rocher but inside was a chocolate mousse with a toasted marshmallow filling and white chocolate ganache. It was a perfect finale to our perfect dinner. Ultimately, the combination of exquisite food, exceptional service and elegant but comfortable ambiance made Steak 48 a truly unforgettable experience. The service was really top notch. We had our company holiday party at Steak 48 in the Wine Room. The entire experience, from coordinating with the event coordinators to set up to service to the food to the ambiance, was nothing short of utter perfection. I coordinated our event with Eden and Kelly and they were both incredible and super knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to ensure our event was perfect. We had two vegans in our group and quite a few allergies and they made sure to speak directly with the chef to accommodate everyone. I was so happy with how communicative and responsive they both were. When I got to the event on the day of our party, I was greeted by the GM and our two amazing servers, Matias and Mimi. They made sure our event ran smoothly and I personally witnessed how kind and careful they were with our guests who had dietary restrictions, and even with the kids who are picky eaters. So thankful for them! Now for the food. Wow is all I have to say. There was an overabundance of food, and everything was absolutely delicious. I was stunned more and more with each plate that came out. I'm usually someone who takes photos of everything, but everything was soooo good that I didn't take a single photo! The desserts were also just superb. You also can't be ambiance. The place is beautiful, dimly lit, and amazing for any occasion. I went to the one in Houston so I was so excited to come to this location. The valet is $16 and the guys are very nice and gentlemen like. The restaurant was a little smaller than I imagined, but I love the vibes here. They have great Waiters who are very friendly and they really know their stuff. We got a three minute monologue going over the chefs choices for the day, the cot fish for the day and deep detail about their steaks. It was about five of us and we shared everything and the bill was about $175. The praline, sweet potato pecan mash was a delicious choice especially if you have a sweet tooth but don't want to indulge fully into a dessert. They have beignets, and a warm caramel crunch cake with a scoop of ice cream. They also offered gelato here! The bottle sodas are four dollars, which isn't too bad. They have cream spinach. I didn't have a lot of cheese on it, but it was still very delicious and tender The steak was out of this world. We got a 16 ounce and it was so much meat. Delicious steak sauce and they seasoned the plates. They have extremely hot plates here so be careful but it's very worth it. The crispy shrimp I've had in Houston and I felt it was more flavorful and more crispy there than the one tonight in Beverly Hills. Some of the batter was falling off and it didn't taste as delicious as I remember. Still decently flavored. With all that being said, I would still go here again and highly recommend it read more

Got to tag along for an expense account dinner here recently. I gotta say that service is sparkling here. The team is fun, attentive and extraordinarily efficient. We never wanted for anything. The soundtrack is eclectic. It's a mix of music from various different eras. In one moment it's something from the 80s...in another moment it's hip hop from the 00s, and then off to something from the 70s. All over the place. The martini game here is strong. I had two really solid ones. The traditional is as terrific as Musso & Frank's and there's a seasonal one made with peaches that's super refreshing. Dinner was fine...everything that a high-end steakhouse in Beverly Hills should deliver. My ribeye cap was perfectly cooked and they pride themselves on serving the steaks on 500 degree plates...I've never had creamed corn sizzle as it hit my plate before. Well, the food and drinks were terrific as usual, and we liked the bartender, but there were some unacceptable service-related misses not by her but by others, and these are easily preventable too, so it's a good news situation from the restaurant's perspective, these aren't hard problems to fix. 1 - when we walked in we walked up to the hostess bar, there were four employees standing there not assisting anyone else, no one made eye contact, not one acknowledged us first. You have to greet the guest first, not the other way around. 2- when we were seated the person who seated us didn't even make an attempt to pull out my wife's chair. They just stood there. I did it and I wasn't going to mention this but my wife said I should. 3 - when we were seated we were seated in the back bar and since it was early we were the only customers in the room. For whatever reason the three employees (bartender and two wait staff) gathered about seven feet away from us and chatted about personal stuff. Obviously it was the staff gathering point; why seat us next to it if there's no other customers? And if you do seat someone next to the staff gathering point, keep it down if the room is quiet, chit-chat in a noisy room is fine but very distracting if it's nearby in a quiet room. Based on this experience, we'll come back to steak 48 but won't sit at the back bar, it might be the training area for staff and I do not recommend it. When a service gets the hard stuff right and messes up the easy stuff, it's still a problem for the guest. The front door guy who let us in, he was the one who gave us the best greeting. read more

Everything, the service, ambiance, food and drinks was excellent. Karen, one of the hosts was actually the person who I spoke with over the phone earlier when requesting if we can please be seated in a booth for a more intimate experience. She greeted us then seated us at our booth, and told me how although it's not guaranteed as they are in high demand, she was able to get us in one. So sweet of her. Once seated, she placed a handwritten happy birthday note on the table and it really made my boyfriend feel special. Our waiter Mark and the food runners all delivered us excellent service as well. My boyfriend was in the mood for oysters. As soon as he tried them, his face said it all. He was stunned and said they were the best oysters he's had in a very long time! We had the yellowtail hamachi, oysters, NY strip steak, filet mignon, fries, brussels sprouts, a couple cocktails and a bottle of red wine- we enjoyed every sip and bite! Our waiting staff were both patient and very detail oriented. Our food delivery was fast and was its own spectacle. The sides were shared and quickly served to our individual steaks.
