    Bone-In Ribeye 22oz
    Peter H.

Service was a standout improvement since my last visit. Our server was so attentive and friendly it really made the difference. I enjoyed the steak more because of that. Bartenders were also contributing to the experience with their positive vibes. 22 oz bone in ribeye is the way to go.

This was my first time at Mastro's Steakhouse. There were six of us, and the atmosphere initially felt very inviting. Our server, Livius, was the real "Mastro" of the evening. He conducted our table beautifully and put a great deal of effort into walking us through the menu, wine list, and specials. His service was excellent. The bread basket, however, was just decent. The crackers were tasty, but pretzel rolls at a steakhouse felt out of place -- more like something you'd grab at a mall stand. The focaccia was thick and reminded me of dressed-up Wonder Bread. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected much better bread service. Unfortunately, the appetizers were disappointing as well. I've definitely had better calamari, this version was rubbery and lacked crispiness. We also ordered the crab cakes, and they fell apart the moment you tried to cut into them. At those prices, I expected much better execution. The ladies in our group ordered the branzino, which looked good. I ordered the pepper steak, which was close to $70, and honestly it tasted more like a $25 steak. It had too much fat and wasn't memorable. The white wine was enjoyable, but at $64 a bottle, I'd still rather buy Josh wine from Trader Joe's for $9. Overall, spending over $900 for six people simply didn't feel worth it. Part of the experience may have been affected by where we were seated. We were placed far away from the live music and very close to the service station, which took away from the ambiance. If you decide to go, it feels like a gamble. You may need several visits to figure out what's actually worth ordering, and personally, I'm not willing to make that investment again.

Friday Happy Hour drinks turned into a dinner of appetizers at Mastro's, which remains one of the most enjoyable dining rooms in the city. Elegant and comfortable, the bar-centric 2nd floor is staffed with gracious servers who remain laser-focused on every customer, making sure each person feels welcomed and well-tended. I started with a Bombay Sapphire martini, which was quite properly prepared, served frosty cold with blue cheese olives and a side shaker of at least another whole drink on deck. My wife ordered the Dream Berry, a sweet and refreshing vodka cocktail that was sort of part Cosmo, part Lemon Drop. And as we relaxed, we were seduced by the aroma of the food being served around us, and we just couldn't stop ourselves. My wife ordered the Sautéed Shrimp, which came in a rich, creamy tomato & garlic "bisque" of sorts, that was just one of the tastiest things I've had in a long time. And with plenty of sauce for dipping with their sturdy, house-baked bread. For my own part, I ordered the Roasted Bone Marrow, which was quite nicely seasoned, cooked to an enjoyable consistency (often its underdone), and with just the right topping of herbs to cut through the richness. Also, perfectly paired with the toasted house breads. Combined with the live piano music and friendly service, this was a surprise luxurious happy hour on a regular old Friday, and it was a great way to kick off the weekend.

We dined last evening for our anniversary and, although I'm rating 5 stars there were pros and cons. Our waiter greeted us and asked about our water choice, whether we wanted drinks and if we wanted bread. I suppose I could have asked since I selected the bread to be complimentary. When we got the bill we were charged for two orders of bread. And to be frank, the bread was mainly stale. Even worse, the pretzels in the bread basket were so stale it would have taken a hammer to break them. We informed our waiter and fresh pretzels were brought out. I ordered a drink and the waiter repeated it. A minute later he had forgotten what I ordered and I told him again. However our waiter was very accommodating and had a great personality. Our dinner was exceptional. I ordered the Caesar salad to start and the 12 ounce filet and baked potato for the main course. I asked the waiter to hold the croutons from my salad. Instead the salad came loaded with croutons (which I removed). My steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Absolutely no need for steak sauce My guest ordered the NY Strip steak and loved it. Knowing it was our anniversary they provided a nice complementary dessert. All and all a very nice experience. Always room for improvement but very happy with our meal.

Giving 5 stars for the service! Came in and sat at the bar and the service was truly excellent. Everyone working was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, which really made the experience. The ambiance was fantastic and felt upscale and lively without being stuffy. Drinks were fine but nothing memorable. I ordered a cosmopolitan and it was good, just basic. I've been to other Mastro's locations where the cocktails (especially martinis) have more of a presentation, so I was expecting a bit more there. Food-wise, I was a little disappointed. I was excited to try the French onion soup since other Mastro's don't offer it, but it didn't quite hit the mark. The wagyu meatballs were also underwhelming. That said, the service and atmosphere absolutely stood out and are the reason for the 5 stars. If you're looking for great vibes and top-tier service, this place delivers.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing in many ways. Ambience: The restaurant was very dark and incredibly loud, making it difficult to hear one another. The live music was turned up too high, which gave the place more of an upscale bar vibe than a fine dining atmosphere. Food: The food was the biggest letdown. We ordered a Wagyu tomahawk steak priced over $200, but about 75% of the cut was fat and inedible. After one small bite, we stopped eating. We also ordered sautéed broccolini, bone marrow, and fries--all were fine but unremarkable. The oddest part was the extremely hot serving plates, which made the food so hot that it burned our tongues. Drinks: I ordered a Sazerac, but it was harsh and unpleasant. While I'm no whiskey expert, the aftertaste suggested that a lower-quality whiskey was used. Service: many reviews suggested this place has superb service. It wasn't in our case! Our server, Momo, was not very attentive. She offered to take photos for a nearby table but didn't extend the same offer to us. She checked on our meals before we'd even taken a bite and then disappeared until we flagged someone for the check. Water refills only happened when we waved down staff. Overall: The experience fell short of expectations, especially for the price. We spent nearly $400 and left feeling disappointed--I don't think we'll be returning. This place is so disappointing that even the food at Fogo De Chao in Beverly Hills is superior--and at a lower price.

So happy to have celebrated my birthday this year at Mastro's! I recognize that so many people dine here for their special events, but even then, the service we received was so elevated and every detail felt intentional. We ordered the following: Fried Calamari 2 x Filet 8 oz Lobster Mashed Potatoes - a MUST!!!! Creamed Corn Butter Cake - received this icon complimentary for my birthday! Can't wait to come back, definitely a place for milestone celebrations or a well-earned splurge dinner.

Had dinner at the Penthouse patio the other day and it was awesome. The patio is newer (opened within the past year) and it's MUCH MUCH MUCH larger than it used to be. I would honestly come here again just because the patio is so beautiful and it's nice being in the third floor. Did not love the ube tequila drink, but the spicy tequila drink I had was incredible. There was also an electric violinist playing the entire time we were dining and it was a treat! She was great and also took requests. One other cool thing they did was the chef came out and sliced our (large) steak at our table - that was super unique and made us feel special.

I've never had a fantastic experience at a steakhouse, so I was hopeful that my work dinner at Mastro's could change that. Unfortunately, I left a bit disappointed and probably wouldn't come back, but there were a few standout dishes (mainly the signature warm butter cake for dessert). The service and ambiance were also nice. Here's everything I tried / recommend: Apps & soups: - Seared ribeye tuna (4.5/5): would recommend this one! - Veggie roll (3/5): underwhelming vegetarian sushi roll; would skip. - Colossal shrimp cocktail (3/5): shrimp were just ok. - Lobster bisque (2/5): hate to say it, but this is some of the worst seafood soup I've had. Something about the flavor was completely off, though there were a few small lobster pieces sprinkled in. Entrees: - 16 oz New York strip enhanced w/ 7 oz lobster tail (3.5/5): I think I enjoyed the lobster more than the steak. The flavor was decent, but the meat was not tender at all. Dessert: - Mastro's signature warm butter cake (4.5/5): their most popular dessert. This was honestly really good, but I'd recommend sharing just one among 2-3 people - even half was a bit too heavy for me.

Live music on a Saturday night in the bar. We got a butter cake with extra fruit and whipped cream, cheesecake, and a shrimp cocktail. Justin took good care of us at the bar. This place is the best! Happy Yelping!

You know the saying "You get what you pay for!" well I definitely paid for it lol but it was worth it! Mastro's is absolutely beautiful! The layout and design as soon as you walk in is stunning! The staff was amazing, I walked in on a busy night and was still seated at an amazing table, right near the piano upstairs actually. The food was amazing as well! I had the Caesar Salad, Norwegian Cold Water Salmon which was flavorful and cooked to perfection, White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Spinach, Baked Potato and Asparagus. A second visit is for sure in my future.

First off I had to use the elevator and that small area smells so good like sweet vanilla....it was my first dining experience there the ambiance was nice the music was good....we were a party of four me and my son's birthday dinner.....He had a Caesar Salad that he devoured, I had the crabs cakes and lobster bisque.....my daughter who was treating order calamari and the tomato cheese peach dish ( the name escapes me) oh yeah that pretzel bread stick was wonderful I ate two.... Dinner was the Tomahawk steak cooked to perfection or sides were the cream spinach, lobster mac and cheese and lobster mashed potatoes it all was a foodgasm for the mouth. Then out comes this decadent Lemon Raspberry Butter Cake it took the whole dinner over the top.....I'm so sorry I can't remember our waiter's name but he was very attentive actually all the staff was. I'm so thankful I was able to dine at this fine establishment......loved it

The Baseline: For a Steak House Fine Dining experience, the steak must be of high grade prepared to how I order it, the seasoning/flavors must make me salivate for the meat, there must be side dish offering that accompanies the meat, and the experience must make me feel like I am a part of a special experience that is an incredible steak dinner. Food: Yes the food. The steaks are high grade and perfectly cooked. We had the New York strip and the Ribeye and the texture, seasoning, char on the meat, the juiciness, the flavor of the steaks were soooooooooo good. Joy is the flavor of the meat. The sides do not disappoint either, Mac and cheese is high quality, the mashed potatoes were creamy/seasoned/delicious, and the desert cheesecake was well portioned and not overly sweet with fresh berries. The after diner coffee made me comfortable happy as the finish to an incredible meal. Service: The serving staff are top notch awesome. Water glasses always full and they are ready for all reasonable requests though I never asked for any unreasonable ones. Ambiance: I know I am at a steak house when I am here. That dark leather, wood seating decor look, not overly bright lighting with that dancing candle light look, along with the salivating smell of cooked steaks. That is the quintessential steak house experience.

We requested that he course the meal out and he did a great job, never letting the table feel overcrowded. His passion for the food and heartfelt hospitality were major contributors to our outstanding evening. As for the food, we enjoyed every dish that came to the table. To start, we shared the Carciofi e Cuori di Palma, Branzino Tartare, Tonno Acqua Pazza Crudo, and Granchio e Caviale. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with bold, balanced flavors. Even the bread service was remarkable, particularly the focaccia, which was the standout among the three varieties offered. For our entrées, we enjoyed the Marubini, Spaghetti, Mafaldine, and Casarecce, all of which were fantastic. The house-made pastas were each cooked to perfection and showcased the kitchen's exemplary technique and care. We also shared the Fagiolo, Peperone, and Patate as vegetable sides, and each one was excellent. We concluded our meal with a trio of house-made gelati for a sweet finish. The sweet cream and pistachio flavors were both especially memorable and well worth saving a little room for. To top it all off, the restaurant graciously provided some petit fours, compliments of the house. Marea delivered the sophistication you expect from a world-class restaurant by pairing remarkable food and impeccable service. This meal easily ranks among the best we have enjoyed in 2026 and will undoubtedly remain at the top of our list for some time. Thank you for an incredible evening. See you next time!

The restaurant is very low-lit, intimate, and romantic, making it a great choice for a date night. I could also see it being a nice spot to visit with friends for cocktails or mocktails. They also have a wide variety of wines, which I really appreciated, especially when pairing wine with pasta. For our appetizer, we ordered the burrata, and it was definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cheese was incredibly creamy and lightly salted, which I personally loved. It was served with roasted tomatoes and fresh bread, and the combination was simple but really well executed. We also ordered two pasta dishes, and both were delicious. The pasta was cooked really well--not overly al dente--and the sauces were rich, flavorful, and thick enough to coat the pasta beautifully. You could really taste the depth of flavor in each dish. We also tried the mussels, which was my first time having them. Personally, they weren't my favorite, mainly because of the texture. However, I think that's completely subjective, and someone with a different palate may really enjoy them. I wouldn't consider this a flaw in the restaurant so much as a personal preference. The service was another highlight. Everyone was very kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. My only real criticism would be the seating and tables. The tables were somewhat wobbly and had a few visible scratches, which felt slightly out of place compared with the otherwise beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere. The seating was also quite tight, especially with an appetizer and two pasta dishes on the table. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Oster. The romantic ambiance, delicious pasta, creamy burrata, extensive wine selection, and excellent service made it a memorable dinner. The mussels weren't personally for me, but that's simply a matter of taste. Aside from the tight seating and slightly worn tables, I thought the restaurant was a wonderful spot for a romantic Italian dinner in LA.

The service here is excellent and everything ran smoothly with zero issues. The bread and butter here is excellent while waiting for your meal. I had the beef stroganoff, which is a comfort dish for me. It's hearty and delicious so I couldn't wait to try this dish. I was certainly surprised because I was not expecting it to be incredibly flavorful. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommended! We ended our meal with the devil's advocate flourless chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, which was delicious for being flourless. What a perfect way to end a tasty meal. My only complaint is the parking because we didn't know where we could park. We ended up getting a ticket because we thought we could park nearby. Definitely recommend asking where to park to avoid a ticket. Overall, we very much enjoyed our dining experience and will certainly be back to try other menu items.

We started with the farmhouse beets, a delicious balance of beets, arugula and dressing topped with candied pecans. The portion was more than enough so we boxed some up to leave room for the main course. Our mains were the wagyu beef stroganoff and the trout filet with blistered green beans. The stroganoff and pappardelle arrived in its own covered dish, so hot it sat on a wood base. While it was a good comfort food dish I thought the horse radish was a little too forward for my taste. It was my companion's entree and she really enjoyed it and there was enough to take home. I had the trout filet with its crispy pepita topping served with blistered green beans. Very happy with my choice and it was also a generous portion. Dessert was the yuzu olive oil cake for my friend and butterscotch budino for me. I loved the balance of butterscotch, crème fraiche, salt and pecans. And the pecan cookie was a great accompaniment. She enjoyed her selection as well. Corkage fee is $20. From the ambiance to the food and service, it was another great experience here. Parking was easy with metered parking along Beverly.
